[Chapter 11: More to come]

Like a new toy, I played with my wind magic. While starting off only able to make a slight breeze, by putting more effort and mp it goes up to a small gust. The entire process is utterly fascinating. However, I can’t mess around for long due to the slow regen of mp.

During the time it takes for my mp to recharge I tried doing other things.  Mainly sword and physical training since they are both surefire improvements. Nothing more came from either yet though. We’ll I can’t expect speed.

Maybe I should fight goblins again? While dangerous it is undeniable in effect. I still find I too risky though. The one time was fueled by impulse and could have gone horribly. I may try again when I get more techniques in my arsenal.

Speaking of diversifying, I decided to see if I could use other magic than wind. Even if I just got wind I still should check if any other elements work. Maybe learning wind has locked me out of all other types? Well even if that happens I wouldn’t be mad since there are no bad elements, only bad wielders.

Due to the similarities with wind I decided on testing water magic next. So this time I sat under the waterfall meditating to try and learn it. Water acts like the wind in how it flows so I followed that line of thinking. So I manipulated my mana like how I did wind but more tangible while fine tuning it to imitate the water pouring over me. With experience in the subject it went quickly compared to wind.

[Skill obtained]

[Water magic| lv: 1]

[Control water magic with 10% efficiency]

Where wind created a breeze this creates a light mist. It was weak to say the least. But then both wind and water show great room for improvement. So as with all things, practice is needed.

But more important are the precedents set by this test. I can in fact use multiple types of magic. While I may yet find a limit it seems far more likely to not have one at this point. So given time I may very well be able to learn every element. Combined with my high int it should be horrifically powerful. I can hardly wait.

Fueled by such pleasant thoughts I went through my daily routine. Everything feels easier when you have a goal to work towards. I think I did especially well during sword training. I must have been right as an ever familiar message appeared.

[Skill level increased]

[Basic sword proficiency| lv: 4]

[When using a sword damage is increased by 12% and crit chance by 4%]

Something about the double digit damage increase pleases me. Yes, it is very nice. It took five minutes to snap out of that trance. I will never talk of this again.

It’s weird but I have gained a lot of respect for ancient humans because, making stone tools is really hard. I break so many stones in the process it is crazy. And back then everyone used these things. It’s easy to forget how impressive these things are just because of more advanced tech has taken over. But these conquered nature before and in my hands they will do so again.

Finishing my rant I get back to making said stone tools. I am currently attempting to whittle one down into a tiny sharp stick, line a toothpick made of stone. Understandably this is very difficult as it easy to break while aiming for that shape. Enough so that I could go on a rant, wait no I already did that.

My life has become a weird hodgepodge of different activities. Exercise, training, crafting all are done daily. It really is a lot for one person to do. Yet this exciting life of constant improvement, I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Sorry for late chapter.
