A mountain civilization.

Everywhere she looks, homes similar to said landform towered over her small body like how a dog would to an ant.

It was a shame that at the entrance of the "town", these obscured the sun. The fancy gold statue of the questionable creature at the center could've been glistening brightly under the sunlight.

Nayun looked around, expecting for people to greet them in line just like how they were welcomed back in the Padoka Market, but found that no one even cared about their arrival. The people walking around the open area were going on about their daily lives— taking a stroll, making idle chat, and the children were playing tag.

Huh. And here she thought they[the Jangs] were big shots.

"Follow me," Damian took the initiative to lead, and Nayun immediately struggled to match his long strides.

It was hard work to pay attention towards the view in your surroundings and at the same time keep an eye on a certain person's back in order to not get lost, but she couldn't help but multi-task. Everything was eye candy, despite the somber color palette of the mountain-houses. Some mountains were adjourned by blue crystals and various plants(mostly grass) which seemed to grow naturally. Some were decorated manually— little flags or ornaments pierced on its soil, doors were varying on color and design, and rocks formed to make a statement.

Something about landforms with holes serving as windows and doorways interest Yun— it's kind of similar to the fictional dwarves' houses she had read in her previous life.

While their[the Jangs'] home were also a bunch of tall triangle buildings, everything was made out of smooth ivory. The houses in this town were naturally formed, sporting irregularity, dirt, and plant life. Thankfully, the streets weren't merely dirt paths and were actually made with stone.

"Where is the Kramer house?" Yun asked in a pant. She really tried her best to keep up with her brother's long legs.

He didn't spare her a glance, but at the corner of his eyes he could see the little girl struggling. He slowed his pace before responding casually. "Everywhere."

"?"

"Everyone here is a Kramer. This is the Kramer household."

Holy cow. Her eyes widened in shock. Another large family...

She should've expected it, given that her family was also a weird one consisting of more than fifty siblings in one roof... and possibly a hella lot more in the other Jang estates. But to see a whole town...

"They're so many," she comments, locking eyes with some of the townsfolk.

These townsfolk on the other hand, couldn't help but be stunned. The two visitors seem to carry an oppressive regal aura that doesn't belong to normal folk... not to mention their appearance, it was far too dashing. It almost gave them an illusion of the God of Youth personally gracing them with his presence.

"Look at those two. Are they Kleimann?"

"Foul! Their appearance is so out of this world."

"They look like they're direct descendants of the God of Youth."

"You don't say..."

Said gossipers paled as they all turned to look at each other. Immediately, they scrambled and spread the rumor of two Dieustroi wandering in their household.

It wasn't too long before they arrived infront of the tallest, largest mountain in this entire town, given their teleportation power. The tall iron gates immediately opened, inviting them in.

It was a surprise when a small hand reached to grasp the older male's large ones. Damian looked down at the child beside him, before hesitantly squeezing her hand back and pulling her along with him.

It was only now did Nayun see what she was hoping for in the beginning of their arrival.

Already, people clad in purple armor were lined up in this torch-lit tunnel, seemingly paying respect, and once they have reached the eleven huge doors at the end, servant maids bowed to them lower than she expected.

"Welcome, young master Damian, young miss Nayun of the Jang family,"

"Good morning." Damian nods.

As if already aware of his intentions, a servantmaid immediately reports.

"Young master Yoseph is celebrating his party on the first floor, and young miss Rachel is with the other young misses on the second floor."

"Alright," Damian tugs Nayun towards the doors on the farthest left.

"I would like to accompany you to your social debut, but I am preoccupied at the moment." As if the warmth he presented earlier through the brief hand-holding was non-existent, he ruthlessly abandons his own sister! Nayun pouts in dissatisfaction, but only after looking down and obscuring her facial expression.

"Naturally, the door in front of us leads to the first floor of the mansion." Damian proceeds to let go of her hand and shove his in his pocket. "Do you know how to use your mana on the door?"

"I don't,"

"Figures," she did die once afterall, that might've cost a couple of memories.

"Take a deep breath, and distribute your mana towards the door."

"How?"

"Picture a huge blob in your head—that's your mana. And then picture yourself breaking parts of it and offering it to be eaten by the door before you open it and enter."

"Oh, alright." So it's all about visualization.

"Same goes to all magical tools and equipment. If there ever comes a need to use them, just do the same thing."

"So the door is a magical thing..." Yun nods blankly in amazement, before once again meeting her older brother's eyes. "But, why can't I just teleport there? I think I could,"

It's just the first floor, isn't it just a floor above? It wouldn't take a toll on her and her currently pathetic mana. It's not like she's teleporting to another city anyway.

"This is your first time here. Remember that you can't teleport to places you haven't seen or been to. The only reason we could teleport in front of the central house despite you being fairly new to this place was because we could already see it from afar."

Damian awkwardly gave her a pat in encouragement, before turning his back on her to go towards the door beside hers.

"Go now."

"..."

She stood in place to observe how her brother will use the door. But she didn't expect him to also halt and turn to look back at her.

"Why aren't you going?" he asks with a raised brow.

"I'll go now..." She surrenders under his pressuring gaze, and places her stubby hands on the huge door.

As she fluttered her eyes close, an image of a blob came to mind.

Tear a decent amount... Her nails dug into it, and with all her strength, she pulled hard.

The forcefully-seperated part dissipated into nothingness, and after opening her eyes, the huge door was opening in front of her.

In front of her was a view of what seems like a spacious room with high ceilings, adorned with crystal chandeliers. There were also a lot of people wearing fancier clothing, chatting and dining in their own tables.

All of a sudden, Nayun had cold feet.

At the other side of this door, marks her debut in society.

In this world's society.

She would be known by others, others who are inhabitants of this world.

Doesn't this further solidify the fact that she's really dead in her previous world, and that she's already a part of this world?

The past months, she was indeed too caught up in the excitement and exhilaration of being "reincarnated", especially in a world that's a hundred times more interesting than in the previous life she had. It's been a while, but everything was too good to be true, there would always be moments where she'll doubt the authenticity of her current life—thinking that everything was just a long dream she herself had formed.

All she knew was the four walls of her room. Both the one in their house, and the one in the hospital.

The persistent fatigue.

Her pale skin littered either with red spots or bruises.

The neverending internal pain.

It was painful, and lonely. But she couldn't bring herself to be sad.

That was the only life she had known. Even if she had watched and read a lot about what it feels like to live normally just like everybody else, it felt faraway. Indeed, like something out of fiction.

So she did not feel the need to long for such things. She had already known her ending, and it was only in a matter of time.

Naturally, these memories wouldn't be easily forgetten—pushed aside for the mornings. Her mother, her father, her brother who never left her 'till the very end. Their love and care for her. The tall robust tree outside the hospital window, whose branches almost climbed inside her room. The song her favourite nurse will hum in her presence. The soft, comforting feeling she has whenever a huge wave of pain passes.

They were always at the back of her head, and will always resurrect in the silent of nights.

Is it finally the time to let go, and start anew?

Damian blinked. Why is the kid frozen on her spot?

He was about to approach Nayun, but she suddenly moved forward and entered the door, prompting it close after her.

The man was left wondering about his younger sister's strangeness.

***

"Yoseph, that's so cool!"

"Maybe you could spar with us sometimes?"

"You're my idol!"

The star of the day, clad in a brown suit, readily accepts the compliments with a huge grin. "Of course!"

Yoseph Kramer. He stood out as always.

Even if he were to wear rags, the child would still stick out like a sore thumb. In a sea of uniform colors, his fiery red hair glowed brightly, attracting everyone like a flame would to a fly.

A lot of eager hands reach out to pull on whatever they could grab ahold of the boy, and he laughs as he feigns putting up a fight.

"Yoseph, come onnn," the children complain, and he finally surrenders, letting himself be dragged to wherever they wanted him to go.

Yoseph looks at the boy who was previously beside him, shooting him an invitation to come as well. Naturally, this closest friend of his would follow after him.

Vonn's eyes were smiling, but if one looked closer, behind this amiable expression he displayed, was clear boredom.

He wanted to go stray off and play. But how can he, if his mother was looking closely at him?

No one else could see, but he could feel her stare on his skin.

"Who's that?"

He found that the formerly rowdy crowd were suddenly still, simultaneously whispering to themselves. Even Yoseph himself had his eyes glued to the arrival of an unfamiliar guest.

Vonn's vision settled on a girl in a puffy white dress. Usually, he doesn't care about other children his age besides Yoseph. But before everyone was a girl whose presence couldn't be ignored.

"She's not normal."

"Is she a God?"

"Ridiculous."

"But looking at her..."

It was the first time Vonn visibly trembled.

Another brilliant light—even brighter than Yoseph Kramer.

Vonn was sharper than his peers, his mother would always say. He had a keen sense. In a young age, he was said to be different, but unique in this way.

Right now, his sense is telling him that the girl in the white dress would not just be someone who will be on par with the esteemed redhead.

Someone who can overshadow Yoseph Kramer.

A crazed smile graced his previously dull expression, excitement rousing his whole being.
