The meeting had come to an end, only the King, the Prince and Princess and Moïse remained in the room. They were still discussing some small matters in the throne room.

"It was a very well done mission my children. Nevertheless I expected the Kingdom of Ria to be more receptive given the threat of the dungeons." (King)

"My king, they too must have summoned heroes." (Moïse)

"That is quite likely, which further increases their strength. Did you notice anything there, Raphael?" (King)

"Except for the queen's beautiful daughter I didn't notice anything. They made it clear to me that he would not share anything with us." (Raphael)

"Moïse what does the church think of the Kingdom of Ria?" (King)

"Well our meeting is over for today. My children, you have free time, don't forget to prepare yourselves for dinner tonight." (King)

"Yes father." (Sarah/Raphael)

The meeting was thus completely finished, everyone returned to their quarters. While the servants were already hurrying for the preparations of the dinner of this evening. While Maïli had just destroyed another mannequin still unsatisfied with the result.

"It's fucking harder than I thought!" (Maïli)

"You'll never make it that way, because you're doing it wrong." (???)

Sounded a voice behind her, she could now see the princess behind her. 

"I introduce myself briefly I am the princess of the Kingdom of Sigma my name is Sarah. "

"Nice to meet you princess. She said in a polite and courteous way.

"You can drop the titles and manners with me. What is your name?" (Sarah)

"Very well, my name is Maïli." 

"What a pretty name." (Sarah)

"Thank you, yours is not bad either." (Maïli)

"Well, let's start again, you're doing it wrong. I guess your goal is to create a cutting whirlwind. But the problem is that you still don't have good control over your mana." (Sarah)

"Can you explain?" (Maïli)

"Of course I'm here for that. Since you haven't started your training yet, you don't know much about bass yet. But you are already good at it. Because even if it's only a little, you can still little control your inner mana flow." (Sarah)

Sarah then created two whirlwinds of wind in these two hands.

"Mana is an energy that must be mastered and bent to one's will. That's why it's first necessary to learn to control your mana flow. The amount, the power and the way you release it. There are an infinite number of possibilities. But you just got here so you only know how to release your mana." (Sarah)

In Sarah's right hand the wind changed shape to a sphere, then a square and a triangle. While in her left hand the wind was only going out and scattered in all directions.

"You must first learn to tame mana. Then let's say you want to turn the wind into a blade." (Sarah)

Sarah immediately launched an attack on one of the mannequins, which was cut in half before falling to the floor.

"It's also important to visualize exactly what you want to do." (Sarah)

"Very good." (Maïli)

Maïli then concentrated as wind came out of her hands. The wind tried to change its shape many times. Under the observant glance of the princess. Before Maïli finally decided to launch his attack on one of the dummies. However on the way to do dummy this time if the wind it is faded.

"Shit!" (Maïli)

Sarah then approached her quietly.

"For a start it wasn't bad." (Sarah)

"What do you mean I completely failed." (Maïli)

"I wouldn't say it's totally a failure. Look you cut the dummy even though it's only really slight." (Sarah)

Maïli then looked at the mannequin and could see several tiny nicks.

"Can you try again but this time don't try the impossible just cut it." (Sarah)

Maïli concentrated and this time a small wind blade cut the dummy. She had already improved from the day she had made a small cut on Shawn's cheek.

"Thank you, it was really informative." (Maïli)

"You're welcome, we'll see you at dinner tonight Maïli." (Sarah)

The day went on until it finally got dark. Everyone was of course dressed in elegant clothes. The king, the prince and the princess were already seated on a beautifully arranged table. Lids of a rare finish totally in gold, worms adorned with precious stones. All this was presented on a magnificent black and gold tablecloth. While on table were bottles of wine accompanied by dishes that looked just as succulent as each other. While everyone was waiting on the doorstep, the king invited them to come in.

"Let's see, don't be shy, come in, it's for you that we have organized this dinner." (King)

Everyone then took their seats in the big, beautiful chairs. Before the servants all filled their wine glasses.

"If I also wanted to organize this meal, it is to introduce you to my son and my daughter. This is Raphaël, who is destined to succeed me, and this is my daughter Sarah, who will support him in his task." (King)

"Pleased to meet you all, hero." (Raphael)

"I hope your arrival in our world was not too hard. " (Sarah)

"No, we thank you for the wonderful welcome you gave us." Said Shawn captivated by the beauty of the princess.

"Yes, we couldn't have wished for anything better." Added Maël.

"Moreover, you invite us all to an excellent meal." (Méverick)

"Very well then, I am delighted you like it." (Sarah)

"I also failed in my duties, I was not presented myself properly. I am the king of the kingdom of Sigma Philippe. Well now that the introductions are done let's eat." (King)

They then all began to eat quietly.

"Hmmm this is really excellent what is it?" (Emma)

"It's a stew made from the meat of Noras a monster known for its very tender flesh." (King)

Everyone was enjoying their meal and savoring the excellent wine.

"Why weren't you the Sarah at our invocation." (Maïli)

There was a silence due to the familiarity of Maïli towards the princess. While some had hardly touched their food.

"Don't be so familiar with the princess." Said Maël outraged by Maïli's behavior.

"I was the one who allowed Maïli to talk to me without the honorific titles." Corrected Sarah immediately.

"Oh very well then." Said Maël while retracting.

"To answer you Maïli, we were on a diplomatic mission for a few days." (Sarah)

"You seem to have a lot of responsibilities." Said Emma.

"Well, we were born with responsibilities that we must assume." (Sarah)

"All of you too now have responsibilities as a hero." Raphaël then added.

"Responsibilities that we did not choose." Eva cut in.

"My sister and I did not choose our responsibilities either. It was determined at birth." (Raphaël)

"Yes, but you had the choice not to invoke us here." (Eva)

"We didn't have a choice and if you want to blame someone blame chance." (Raphaël)

"Chance has nothing to do with it." (Eva)

"We apologize again, we knew you had your families and friends there." (King)

"It's true they had no choice." (Meverick)

"We always have a choice." (Eva)

Silence then fell in the room for a long moment. Before the king tried to renew the conversation.

"How do you find the wine, is to your taste?" (King)

"I think for most of us it's the first time we've drunk it." (Emma)

"Oh can you tell me a little bit more about it." (King)

"Of course in our world you have to be a certain age to drink alcohol." (Emma)

"Your world looks very boring to me." Said Prince Raphael as some looked at him with contempt.

The prince just gave them a nice smile. It was clearly an act of provocation.

"And so what do you think of your first wine verses?" (King)

"Well since I've never had alcohol until now I wouldn't know if it's of good quality. But it has a strong pleasant taste and a bit sweet." (Emma)

"You have good taste buds, Holy Priestess. Well, from now on you don't have to worry about that. Here you can do whatever you want, isn't that wonderful. "(King)

"Yes, let's drink to celebrate our arrival here." Said Shawn, raising his glass.

"Wonderful it depends for whom. " (Eva)

"You're not going to start with that again. " (Shawn)

"You know what, fuck you Shawn!" (Eva)

"What the fuck is your problem, you could at least pretend to be happy to be there in front of the king and his family." (Shawn)

"Come on let's calm down we are in the presence of royalty." Says Karine trying to calm the situation again.

"You know what, fuck you all, I'm leaving!" (Eva)

The silence fell then once again in the room. Maïli then take Eva by the hand and nodded her head to say no. Maïli had noticed the changes in the room, especially the king's face. It was the same eyes as when he had thrown Logan out without mercy and cold. But this time there was bloodlust, Eva then sat back down quietly thanks to Maïli. Before she took the words herself.

"We thank you for the splendid reception that you reserved for us majesty. But without wanting to offend you, isn't the least you can do us? And you even apologize for invoking us here. But it would have been wise of you, not to send Logan out from the castle. And to accommodate him at your expense for the rest of his life as compensation, right?" (Maïli)

Maïli then put the king in front of these contradictions and his hypocrisy. Let's show that the welcome, the apology and the meal were only a way to soften them up. So that he puts himself at the service of the kingdom and the king by putting their lives at stake. 

"Why should I have taken in someone who was not going to be of any use to me." (King)

Some of them silently clenched their teeth with rage. The king had just admitted that he was promising them fortune and glory so that they would risk their lives and forget their past lives. And if he wasn't useful to the kingdom, they could do it themselves.

"And then I also heard the story by my father had given him a large sum of money. He could have lived quietly for a long time or created a business. Logan is it if I'm not mistaken? He only had accept the money." Added Raphaël.

"As long as all of you faithfully serve the kingdom of Sigma you will have a life of luxury that you could never have in your old world. And if you don't want to serve our kingdom, you are free to leave, after all, no one is keeping you here. If you want, let's continue this dinner together." He said, smiling graciously.

Eva then felt something dripping from her nose so she touched to see on her fingers blood. A small trickle of blood ran down her nostrils. She met then the glance of Maïli and understood why she had retained it.
