The shadows of two men loomed as they glanced over paperwork on a table in a secret room. One of the men, heavily robed and masked, went by the name Legion, the leader of the Hydra. If Marty knew about this, he would be amazed as the place Legion resided was not on Earth. Instead, it was a world similar to Earth with an alternate history. The place they inhabited was called Kuhon, an alternate version of Japan. Next to him was a man not disguised at all. His wrinkles revealed his angry expression was normal; as if he had spent every moment of his life angry. However, it was understandable if one looked at the side of his face, which revealed scarred flesh and distorted teeth. It wasn’t caused by anyone but born from the hatred in the depth of this man’s soul. That injury haunted him his previous life, and his hatred influenced his body so that he would wear it again. It served as a constant reminder to get back at two people who had caused his first death.

On the table before them was a bunch of files with a picture of the young lady. This lady was Japanese and lovely. Her expression was rather cold, and she had a frozen cherry blossom in her hair.

The scarred man grinned fiendishly. “Snow Miko, it was Fate that we would both be reborn at the same time.” He said with a laugh.

Legion looked at the man. “Nero, do not forget that the price of my help means you will run my operations on this planet.”

“So long as I get my revenge, it’s worth it.”

“Good. Because of the limitations of my ability, I’m unable to bring much from other worlds. However, these few pieces of technology will help you as they go far beyond this world’s standards.”

Nero took these items with glee before he looked back at the picture of the Snow Miko. “Snow Miko, I will get my revenge! It’s just too bad that your precious Mahesvara was not born with us so I could kill you together.” He said with a laugh. “Everything is in motion; the people are ready. Now is the time to play!” He shouted as he began to play the violin... Fairly badly.

In Kuhon there was an exceptional park; a memorial to the two heroes who died successfully driving out the Roman invaders thousands of years ago. The area was significant because it was their final resting place and the place of their first meeting, although the general public did not know the latter. Within the park was a statue of these two people. One was a handsome Caucasian man with the beard who held a black katana to the sky. In his embrace was a beautiful woman of Asian descent. In her left hand was a fan while the right held a white katana which she held up with him.

The park itself had an off-limits area. While the rest was open with grass, this restricted area had one landmark. Within it was a lone cherry tree. Half of this cherry tree was burned, while the other half still had its pedals. However, those pedals would never fall, and the burned parts would never have a chance to grow again because the entire cherry tree was encased in what was known as Energy Crystal.

This area was off-limits to respect the sacrifice of these two people. However, there was one person who was allowed in this restricted area. It was a lovely young lady who seemed to bear a striking resemblance to the female statue. This girl was the object of the files that Legion and Nero had. Her full name was Miyuki Hanahime Ayatsuri, and she was the reincarnation of the Snow Miko, Hanahime.

Miyuki had no idea of the plans of Nero and Legion. Instead, she slept beneath the crystallized cherry tree. She spent a lot of time sleeping because her dreams were the only place where she could see him. More than anything else, she longed to see him again. Currently, a rare peaceful smile could be seen on her face.

In her dream, she was a young girl before the war had reached her. She was out playing amongst the flowers on the hills near the single cherry tree. However, the sky began to light up with strange colors, which caused Hanahime to look up. The excitement of what she knew was going to happen caused her to partially wake up and crack open her eyes. However, she couldn’t separate between dream and reality because the sky was the same as in her dream.

With hardly any distinction, the sky began to crack, and a figure could be seen falling from the sky. Miyuki’s eyes closed, and she was unaware of what was occurring in reality. With a single tear running down her face, she gently whispered: “I’m waiting for you, Anata.”

In the sky and her dream remained that Fateful crack.
