"Yes, sir, there are multiple hostages. Our whole damn tracking team! We needed back up 10 minutes ago," Coulson held a handset, talking to Fury on the phone.

Since Primo was coming here, Fury decided to have a direct line with Coulson to be appraised at any moment.

Melinda wanted to go inside, but she couldn't also leave Coulson here. Even though there was a little girl inside. It made her feel more conflicted than ever before.

Coulson raised his eyes, looking towards Primo, "yes, yes. He's here. Yes, Sir."

Coulson put the mobile down, watching Primo, "you can go with Melinda."

Primo opened the door, hearing the sirens coming closer, "it would be an honor, working with you."

Melinda didn't say anything to him. She nodded towards Coulson, rushing with him towards a nearby old building which was the base of Eva and her crew.

Once they were in front of the gate, Melinda stopped, taking out a phone to call someone.

Primo halted, looking at her, "you are just going to stop to call someone?"

Melinda shot him a look, making Primo back off, "ok, you are calling someone. I get it. I'll back off."

Melinda paced around, ignoring him, "we are going off books here. Hostage situation. Our guys inside."

Primo sharpened his ear, listening to the voice from the other side, "you are going in alone? Babe..."

"Drew, they have a little girl," Melinda cut him off in the mid-sentence.

The voice, on the other side, sighed in resignation, "ok. You have done this before. You always come home. Hey, the little girl is going to be scared. Take a knee down to her level. It'll help. If not, then just grab her and run like hell."

Melinda smiled, "thanks."

"Do good, Melinda but come home. I love you."

"Love you too," Melinda softly said.

Just as she put the phone down, Jay patted her shoulder, "that's a good husband. I like him. He's a psychologist?"

Melinda was planning on ignoring him and continuing her job. When she heard him say that, "did you collect information on me?"

Primo denied doing anything like that, "not really. It was that advice, reminded me of my psychologist. Anyway, you won't be getting back home till tomorrow. Would you like to spend the time together?"

Melida gently took off her gun, pointing at his groin, making Primo raise his hand in defeat, "I'll take no for an answer?"

Melinda shifted her eyes towards the balcony on the first floor. She used crates to jump higher, landing on an Ac, sticking out, to jump to the first floor, balcony, jumping to the other one.

She carefully stepped towards a small rectangular window, watching a shadow pass by the other side.

She ducked, moving towards the gate, timing it right so she could open it and take the guard out.

When she opened the door to take out the guard, he wasn't there. Her eyes frantically look around, landing on Primo, putting the guard down on the side.

Primo glanced towards her, watching curiously, "that was good...just what would you have done if the door was locked?"

Melinda glanced towards the still breathing gangster, walking towards the next place. To find her agents.

Primo, on the other hand, sat down in front of the grunt that he took out, "damn it, this is much worse than I thought."

Melinda had barely taken a few steps away when she heard him talk to himself, "what? What did you find?"

Primo delicately touched something in the air, like touching a thread that wasn't visible to anyone else, "I have seen this before. It was a guy I had to kill. But this is much, much worse."

He stood up, walking in the same direction that Melida was going before, "let's go. Can you contact Coulson?"

Melinda put her hand on her comm, trying to connect to Coulson, "No. What do you need?"

Primo glanced back, his orange eyes watching Melinda, "Jay. If I am not wrong, then this is his territory."

Melinda narrowed her eyes, following him, whispering, "Juggernaut stopped working for Shield a year ago."

"Yeah, but knowing him, when he hears the circumstance, he will help."

He opened the door, and Melinda knocked out the man guarding, moving towards the next one.

Primo checked both of them before the two moving to the nearest room, entering inside.

Melinda's eyes fell on the burly agent standing with his back towards them. With others sitting in one corner of the room.

"Agent Hart," Melinda softly called, checking the right side of the room.

"It's dangerous out there," Agent Hart turned around, staring at her.

"Are you ok?" Melinda took a step back, seeing the look in the eyes of the agent she knew.

"No, I need your pain," Hart moved his hand towards the gun, picking it to point at Melinda. It made Melinda kick his hand, pin him against the wall, holding him in place, "what the hell are you doing, sir?! We have to go!"

"I need your pain," Hart said with more emphasis when Melinda heard the sounds of bodies falling down.

She glanced back, watching Primo stand on top of the bodies of other agents, walking towards her, "they are alive. And his mind is under control."

Jay put his hand on Hart's bald head, and the fire burned as if burning down a thread, which went out the door, burning the whole thread. Hart's body fell down, "we should go and get the controller. This power is dangerous."

Melinda watched him go out, squatting down to check if everyone was alive or not before she followed behind him.

The two of them took down the stairs, meeting a few of the local gangsters, taking them out.

Shortly, the two reached a large room, empty in the middle and numerous things on the side.

Melinda hastily ran to the man guarding the room, standing at the center of it, taking him out.

While Primo turned around, a punch going through his body as he turned into embers, appearing behind a blonde Russian woman, kicking her in the waist.

"Belyakov," Melinda clenched her fist, seeing the woman kicking her face as she tried to get up.

She was about to smash her leg down when her heel met with Primo's toe, stopping her leg from going down any further, "I think that is enough."

He just said when the woman moved, kicking the back of his leg, knocking Primo off his feet.

He fell down on the ground, watching Eva Belayakov stand up and attack Melinda May.

Primo lay on the ground, staring at the roof in a daze, "yeah, not what I was expecting. Is finding words like thank you, I will do anything for you, I will bear your children so hard to find?"

Even though Melinda was dodging Eva's attack, she managed to find time to roll her eyes at Jay.

Primo got up, holding the back of Eva's head, as a thread started burning around her, and her body went limp, making Melinda watch her and him, "what, it's over?"

Primo glanced towards the utensils and boxes here, "No..."

The young girl came out, "I like pain."

Melinda moved forwards to go towards the girl, but her footsteps stopped as the little girl walked over.

"I like pain. You are taking away my pain," The little girl spoke in a crying voice.

Melinda watched the girl with painful eyes, glancing towards Primo, "tell me it's not like that."

Primo pressed his lips in resignation, "I told you. It's much worse. I don't usually go for the kill, but some force me. Especially the ones who have gone insane because of their owns powers. And the most to go insane are those with mind-bending powers. Well, second only to those that try to control an unstable force."

Melinda pointed her gun at the back of his head, "she is just a little girl. I won't let you kill her."

Primo turned his head towards Melinda, his hand raised towards the little girl. A horizontal pillar of fire shout out, covering the girl, while his orange eyes watched the barrel of the gun, "then shoot."

Melinda put her finger on the trigger, struggling, glaring at him before she pistol-whipped him, running towards the little girl at the fire cleared.

She picked up the little girl, confused since there weren't any burns on her skin, checking if she was alive.

"I didn't kill her," Primo got on his knees, stroking the child's head as he explained, "when your mind is in control, it's taut, fighting against itself, a part that wants to be free, your will. So my fire burned the strings. It is like your brain is being shot by a rubber band, disoriented. It causes people to faint. Her's was connected to so many others, she will out more than the others. I need to talk to Jay, see if there is a way to save her. Or I'll have to kill her."

In his house,

Jay stood up, walking towards his bathroom. He put his hand on the wall, and electronic lines appeared before he opened the door, entering.

He was in an elevated platform, some kind of dark cabin with glass walls. There was a console, with a few words were written on top of it, "Welcome to The Cave."
