Jay walked inside a room with a study table, a low bookshelf under the window, a sofa chair, and a bed on the other side.

He walked behind the girl, trying to busy herself with homework, putting his hand on her shoulders, "Hey. I thought you'd be scared."

Gwen looked back, grinning, tilting her head, "I have spider-senses. I can tell when you are here."

Jay rubbed her shoulders, "and I have eyes. I can tell that you are distraught."

Gwen took forward, bitterly smiling, "so obvious...and I thought I was doing a good job of hiding."

Jay sat down as a chair appeared under him. He pulled the chair closer, looking at Gwen, caressing her cheek, "what are you thinking about?"

Gwen tilted her face towards his hand. She put her palm on his hand, closing her eyes, "I can't seem to forget...all of them dying, their bodies littering the broken, blasted rooms. The smell of their burned flesh, the eyes from which the life was slipping out. What we did today...was a massacre."

Jay looked down, thinking about it, "come with me."

Gwen lifted her chin, looking at him, watching her with a smile, "um...ok...?"

He stood up, opening a portal, making Gwen gulp, "you are not going to take me someplace alone and then kill me to keep me quiet, right?"

Jay pressed his lips, shaking his head up and down, "yeah, that's the plan."

Gwen stood up, walking inside the portal with him, making her look at him, "so how do you do this portal thing?"

Jay raised his hand, and a sling ring appeared on his fingers, "these things come in handy."

He put his hand down, and the sling ring disappeared when Gwen turned and screamed, closing her eyes, putting her hand on chest, "scared me. Why are there two you?"

Jay raised his body that was working, "I was working. Now, this is your job. You have to read Hydra's reports, items, personnel names that appear, and their contacts."

One of the two bodies that Jay was controlling disappeared, while the other helped her sit down, stroking her head, "go for it. This is all yours now."

Gwen groaned, "I am tired after today, and you are giving me more work?"

"You didn't kill anyone. But if this is still tormenting you. Then read and learn more about the enemy that you are facing. Maybe that will give you some peace?"

Gwen stroked her hand on the table, the papers, "ok...I'll try."

Jay stroked her head, kissing it, "next time, you don't have to come to the mission."

Gwen rolled her eyes, "you treat me like a child."

"Well, for me. You are one. I'll treat you like a grown-up when you are one. Now be good. I have to go check on others."

"Go...I'll be done by the time you are back."

Jay smiled at Gwen, walking out the door, closing it behind him. His eyes fell the gym area in front of him,

"It's good that you are already here," Jay looked towards Ava, wearing a headphone, running on the treadmill.

Even though the music was booming in her ear, she could hear Jay's voice, as if it was inside her ear.

Ava took off the headphones, stopped the treadmill, turning back, "are you here to check on me?"

"Yes. How are you doing?"

Ava clenched her jaws, looking up to think deeply, "yeah, I am doing no good. How about giving me a few million dollars, and I will be much better."

Jay smiled, taking out his cell, "yeah, sure."

Ava held his wrist, giving an annoyed smile, "can you not take everything so seriously. I am doing good."

"Good? That is why you are running rather than sleeping?"

Ava pointed towards her medium-tanned toned body, "you think you get this by sleeping around?"

She touched her abs, circling her hand on them, "all this...it's hard work."

"Well...mine is natural?" Jay glanced down, lifting his t-shirt, showing his ten abs.

Ava lightly punched him, curling her lips, "show off."

Jay put down his t-shirt, wrapping his hand around her, hugging her close to him, "are you...all right?"

"When I was in pain...I just wanted to survive, no matter the cost. Even if it meant becoming an assassin. But now that I have. I don't know what I should do," Ava closed her eyes.

Jay softly smiled, "I get that...having powers, wanting to do more, seeing others with powers becoming so popular. It kinda makes you want to do the same."

Ava shook her head, "maybe...I don't know...probably. At the end of the day, I am all right, and whatever the reason that is pressed under numerous layers and I have no idea about it. I don't mind killing Hydra. So, don't worry about me. But I am worried about Dad."

"Don't worry. Last I heard when Primo took you. He left a protective measure in Mr. Foster. I doubt that even if we try to harm him. We might not be able to land a scratch. You can go try."

Ava curled her lips, "No need. If Sir Primo is the one who did, that then I believe it."

Jay rolled his eyes, "you know, I might be starting to become a little jealous that you are so respectful to Primo."

Ava glanced down, "don't...I mean, there is no comparison. You are a human...a smart...super beautiful...but human. Primo is more like a God than anyone I have ever seen. Someone like him...can't be human."

Jay nodded, "I liked the handsome part."

"There was no handsome part."

"There wasn't?" Jay followed after Ava, who was walking away, "I was so sure I heard it."

"You heard wrong!"

Midnight,

Jay walked inside Felicia's house, sneaking under the blanket, wrapping his hand around Felicia's stomach, cuddling with her. He closed his eyes, taking in her scent, with a smile hanging on his lips.

Felicia opened her eyes, turning around in his arms, "come to check on me?"

"Word travels fast..."

"yeah...you took too much time."

"Yeah."

"I was having a good sleep before. Now I can have the best," Felicia smiled, kissing his jaw.

"Good night," Jay closed his eyes, sleeping with her. With her arms touching his body, with her presence near him, her nearly naked body touching him.

Felicia stroked his back, kissing his chest, "good night."

The Next Morning,

Jay woke up, raising his body. He looked at Felicia pacing in front of him, getting ready, talking to someone of cell that was stuck between her ear and shoulder, "are you going somewhere?"

Felicia glanced at him, smiling as she held the cell, "yeah, I get it. I'll be there."

She cut the call. The sound of hells rang in the room as she walked towards him, kissing his cheek, "yeah, we have enough songs to record an album now, so we have to practice. Abduct me if you have something urgent?"

Jay plopped his head down, "Gwen might be busy today..."

Felicia winced, "MJ is gonna blow her top, for sure. If there is any chance she has time, tell her to be there?"

"I'll try. Have fun out there," Jay smiled, closing his eyes.

Felicia felt something was wrong, but she was in a hurry, so she rushed out.

Once she was gone,

Jay took a bath, got refreshed, and got ready before opening a portal to the room where Gwen was working or sleeping for now.

He knelt down beside her, stroking her head, whispering, "wake up."

Gwen's body shot up but came to a halt because Jay held her head, "ow, what are you doing?"

Jay removed his hand, apologizing, "sorry, that seemed like a good idea before...well, that happened. Anyway, Queen MJ has demanded your presence in the court of practice."

Gwen laughed, rubbing her eyes, "Yeah, I'll go."

"Let me just confirm this. Once you are done with classes and practice, will you be coming back to do this work? Or should I?"

"I'll be back," Gwen whispered, looking down, "I want to know...more about Hydra...about the people that died."

"Sweetheart, that's the wrong reason. You might get pulled in Hydra's philosophy if you take that road."

"I won't. I still don't think they deserve to be butchered. But I do understand, with an organization this big. Pulling them in a cell won't do any good. Unless I can build a private cell where even governments hands can't reach and through them into it for life."

Jay stood up, leaning against the table, looking in the distance, "I can."

Gwen hesitated, "what do you mean you can?"

"I can build a cell like that. But it won't work...there is a place I call the Cave. It is a place that is separate from the world. It has all the dangerous technologies and artifacts. I can even make a prison there. But no place can't be breached, and the walls between dimensions will start to thin out soon,"

Jay stopped, kissing her cheek, "sorry, this might be the only way. Now, forget about this and go have fun."

Gwen hesitantly looked at him, "Is there something you are not telling me?"

Jay stopped leaning on the table, patting her shoulder, "too many things. But you don't have to worry about that. I will tell you when the time is right."
