"What is this place...? It's dark, I can't see anything."

Waking up still feeling a bit sleepy, I find myself in a dark place. Last time I remember I was organizing data as my research supervisor told me.

It was a whole load of chore. I wonder why I keep getting pushed with this kind of thing? Don't you normally leave something like this to the undergrad slave or master servant?1(1) Lab hierarchy: Professor > Post-doc > PhD student > Masters > Undergrads. If I remember correctly in PHD comics, students are given the most menial type of jobs inside lab. Especially those in the lowest position in the ladder: undergrad. It probably also varies with different countries. I also have similar even if somewhat different experience. I was the most senior undergrad in a research group, and the most senior one under lecturers (no master and PhD students in our group). So I was guilty of offloading most works to my juniors. I know I'm a bit smarter than others, doesn't mean I can do anything and everything... sigh...

"Is it a blackout? Oi! Anyone else here?!"

I tried to reach out my phone in my pocket... wait I have no pocket... actually I don't have anything on me... literally. Why am I naked?

"What's that?"

I saw what seem like a faint light and approach it.

I keep walking towards the light, the closer I approach it, the brighter it becomes.

The light keeps getting brighter and brighter, however somehow my consciousness also feels like it start to fade as I get closer towards the source of light.

"Ah... not good.."

I feel a bright darkness suddenly came...

...

... ...

... ... ...

"uuu..." feeling sleepily, I'm opening my eyes but was struck blind by the sudden bright light.

"Where is this...?" is what I meant to say, but what surprisingly came out from my mouth was random gibberish.

"How is he doctor...?"

"It's a healthy baby madam."

Eh, listening to the conversation, am I in a delivery room...? Why...? Don't tell me...

"Let me hold him, doctor."

It seems I reincarnated.
