So, before you start reading this story, there are a few things you should be aware of.
First (and most importantly) - the first 20-25ish chapters are due for a rewrite. This is a story I've been writing on and off for...I think almost two years at this point. The first chapters differ in quality and tone from the later chapters, and due to my writing style, the whole thing lacked direction. Recently, I finally found that direction. But, those first chapters just don't work towards it as nicely as I would like. So, those are going to be a bit different. I'm going to post those with author commentary at the bottom of each, and I would love it if people would comment their thoughts on the chapter as well. What works, what doesn't, anything you think would be valuable in rewriting those chapters to get to the punch more. Also, the title of the story is totally up to be changed too. I'm pretty awful at names, so I was pretty stumped for what I'd call this (I seriously just had the word doc named "story"), so if anyone's got any better suggestions let me know and I'll take it into consideration.
Second - wording, grammar, and spelling. The way my schedule works, I've generally ended up working on this after midnight, and I'm not entirely sure how much to trust myself that late (Usually I rely on Word's grammar and spellcheck, unless it feels really wrong). So, if wording or grammar feels slightly off, feel free to let me know and I'll try and edit it to fix it up. And if there are any misspellings that manage to slip in there, also let me know and I'll take care of it.
Third - release schedule and length. The early chapters aren't as long as the later ones, but right now I'm going for ~3,000 to 5,000 words in a chapter, depending on how the chapters comes out when writing. Expect a chapter sometime lateish (~10 PM MST) on Sundays.
As for tags, it's a bit of a slow-burn, don't expect any "explicit" GL until chapter 30+, and even then it's not going to be going into any...details, so don't expect an explicit sex scene or anything. Kissing at the most on-screen, implied stuff off-screen. Maybe. Other tags may also come in later, but they should all be accurate. If you feel something isn't, or it's missing a tag that should be there, let me know and I'll look at changing it.
All that aside, I can't ensure this will be the best story you've ever read, but I'm hoping there's at least someone out there who can enjoy reading this as much as I enjoyed writing it!

If they have you should take that bit off of this "foreword" since it almost threw me off of wanting to read this.

I read a different Chimera novel on RoyalRoad awhile back and since it was put on hiatus for months then have the author post a new chapter and then no word from him in half a month, i require more read material.

I actually haven't started the rewrite yet. As it's nothing more than tidying up the early chapters a bit it hasn't been high on my priority list. I'm almost at a point where I have enough of a buffer to feel comfortable starting that, though.
Once I do have that out things will be updated accordingly.

Wait, I'm a bit confus. Does this mean the available chapters are going to be re-released, or that these chapters ARE the re-written chapters?
These are the "first draft" chapters. Based on what people are saying about them, I'll be re-releasing available chapters at a later date after I've touched them up and am happier with how they turn out.

I have a few chapters done and up on Patreon, but the rest is "coming when it's coming". I work on it when I have spare time/writer's block, so progress is pretty slow.
