I once took a deep dive into the parapsychology files on the CIA’s Freedom of Information Act database page. Within them, I found a description of the Gateway Effect, and within it, the practice of Remote Viewing. The phenomenon had apparently been studied for at least the fifty years between WW2 and the 90s.

The premise was that using meditative practices, one can perceive any place or time in the universe, even send messages.

Being an enormous Sci-Fi and fantasy nerd I, using the information it provided and other informational materials on meditation attempted to replicate the practice.

What I found was a visualization technique which heightens the sort of day-dreamy state of performing thought experiments.

While I hold no credence to the factuality of the things I experienced, I found it extremely conducive to creative writing.

This work is the product of my mind staring into the beyond.
