With the dark guild investigation team having Azumi as their new additional member, they proceed to the Cupid restaurant in two group, Filaurel and the first squad will monitor the dark guild bases whereas Azumi and the other will survey the stakeout

Along the way to the Cupid's restaurant, thing were calm, as they just have a little talk with each other, but Azumi still remind them not to drop their guard

Once the Cupid's restaurant have come to their sight, Azumi and Kucin can feel something strange, the calm of the morning where no one is in the street which is something rather unnatural plus a barrier of ignorance being put into Cupid restaurant

(Kucin, can you feel it?) [Azumi]

(Yeah, I activated my beast technique, and I can sense around five people excluding Cupid) [Kucin]

(Yeah, and judging by the one weak signal that I get, this is bad...) [Azumi]

(Those bastard!) [Kucin]

(Guz, Blade, this is your teacher speaking telepathically to your mind, don't make it obvious but someone, most probably from the dark guild is inside the restaurant and have taken Cupid as a hostage) [Azumi]

(Now, I will lead the way and you three stay behind me, once I have kick them out of the restaurant, your priority should be Cupid safety, Clear!) [Azumi]

Azumi step into the restaurant, walking right into their trap when multiple knives coated with poison were launch at him at a high speed with weight magic circle added to them for more impact

"How useless" [Azumi]

He use the magic of wind and space to stop the knives on its track and send the knives to one of the people ambushing them, he target the neck area of one of the person presence there and none of them misses, with such a high velocity impact, the head of the person is severed and fall to the floor

"You bastard!" [?]

"Oh, coming from someone that do such a thing to one of my student, that sure boil my anger more" [Azumi]

He wasn't kidding when he said that, he can see that three of the ambusher near the now unconscious tied up Cupid with an explosion barrier

(I see, they want me to get injured while saving Cupid, those three seem to be able to dodge the explosion once the barrier is activated, how naive) [Azumi]

Azumi use his lighting acceleration magic to it's max and quickly go to where Cupid is

"Oh time, slow down the activation of those barrier, barrier deceleration" [Azumi]

"Oh wind, oh earth, lessen the impact as to preserve the surrounding, impact dampen"  [Azumi]

"Oh heat, by my command, concentrate and blew my enemy, impact redirect" [Azumi]

He chant the three magic as fast as he could, putting an extra strength to the second chant so that his student hard earn restaurant isn't extensively damage. The three magic activated do its job while Azumi bring Cupid back to Kucin and the other

The impact of the explosion knock out most of the furniture but the window were left unscathed, seeing that, Azumi are glad that he put the strength more into the impact dampen magic

"Cupid" [Kucin]

"She's alright, just unconscious, plus by the look of it nothing have been done to her" [Azumi]

"Good, if something were done to her, they can say goodbye to their head" [Kucin]

"Same, but keep your anger in check, it could prove fatal you know that right" [Azumi]

"Of course, but!" [Kucin]

"Yeah, I understand the reason of Cupid being unharmed" [Azumi]

The reason is simple, they want to make her as viable as they could so that Cupid can be sold to the slave market at a Higher price, they anticipate that Azumi will not let his student be harmed in anyway possible, so that's why they set up the explosion barrier in the first place

"There are four more people, and it's look like they are coming out, the one in the middle with the long black hair is without the doubt is the strongest so I would fight him and two more person, the three of you can take the other one" [Azumi]

"No, i'll take two of them, Brother, you can take the strongest, Guz and Blade, take the one left out" [Kucin]

""Got it"" [Guz, Blade]

"If you said so, but remember, Cupid safety is the highest priority here" [Azumi]

"""Got it""" [Kucin, Guz, Blade]

With that, the middle man with long black hair come out

"You survive, how unfortunate, but nevertheless, your head will still be mine" [Long hair man]

"Hmph, confident aren't you" [Azumi]

"Well of course, if I may say so, my strength is akin to those of most upper A rank adventure" [Long hair man]

"Quite a high self evaluation there, for someone weakling like you" [Azumi]

"Oh, that's quite an insult, well, once I bring your head to the dark guild, my popularity will  skyrocket, as the hero slayer" [Long hair man]

"Hmph, do your best then" [Azumi]

"Oh I will" [long hair man]

The man empty his item box with multiple knives now floating in the midair

Seeing the other three, Kucin said the following to Guz and Blade 

"I would take the twin with the hammer, Guz and Blade take the sword user" [Kucin]

With that, the battle Infront of the Cupid restaurant commence
