Jack is still in the same pose J: “Well, I suppose the common term would be Ent, but still! It’s a walking tree!” Jack pauses for a second “Wait, doesn’t that mean my breath will be super effective against it? Well, no I guess, since it’s atomic, not fire. It just looks flamey.” Stalking closer to the ent Jack continues his internal dialogue “I could use this opportunity to get the jump on it I suppose, but I don’t know what it’s capable of…” Mentally grumbling to himself, Jack slowly replaces his earlier shock with annoyance “Aahh! So many decisions! I’m starting to think Tw*-F*ce had the right idea…”

The Head Sorcerer, with eyes practically popping out of his head shouts: “What in the blazing sun!” Moving the controlled giant using his mind, and directing it to brush away at the loose dirt underneath him “The entire castle’s been buried!” The various sorcerers around him tried their best to peek over his shoulder, without actually peeking over his shoulder -none of them wanting to interrupt his concentration- but clambering around each other nonetheless. Sighing a bit, the Head Sorcerer sternly states “Settle down, the barrier held.” Squinting a bit, he continues “It seems that the beast made the ground underneath the barrier collapse, causing it to fall.” Straightening up the giant he ponders something aloud “Now where did it go…” Turning about, he meets eyes with a large creature crouching among the trees, staring right back at him.

J: “Oh shit!” like a deer in the headlights, Jack internally panics “I took too long!” But Jack doesn’t have much time to think, as the Ent charges him, forcing him to quickly dodge out the way, ducking under a large arm. Jack is snapped into focus by the sudden attack, reminding him of himself and bringing him to his bearings “All right, lets tango.”

Jack, now with a sideways view of the creature, aims a quick beam directly at the Ent’s head-area, blasting a hole in it, but before Jack can celebrate, The Ent Spins, swiping at him with its arm, clocking him directly in the face “Aggh!” Knocked back by the sucker punch a bit, Jack catches as strands of wood weave the hole in its head shut slowly “Oh that’s no fair!” Quickly dodging a jab, Jack throws a hook out into the Ent’s wooden side “Gotch- Ah!” Knocking the Ent to the side a bit, all Jack really accomplishes is hurting his own fist as the splintered wood quickly mends itself. Thinking fast as he dodges a wide swipe at his gut, Jack comes up with a gameplan, Hopping backwards a few meters, Jack charges up his beam.

“Hmmm, I can definitely see why they needed the Sorcerer’s Tower secret weapon for this… But seems this beast can’t do anything to the Great Tree!” The Head Sorcerer monologues both to himself and the surrounding sorcerers. A small smile appears on his face as he comes up with an idea “I don’t suppose the King would mind us taking this beast as payment for our services… Even if it stays alive!” The sorcerers around him burst into loud murmurings of agreement, all eager to have an alien test subject. Shaking his head and sighing, he follows up with another comment “Though I suppose we can also garner plenty of information through its corpse…”

His beam ready, Jack fires a sweeping blast, chopping right through the upper torso of the Ent, and before it can tie itself together again, Jack charges it, taking a blow to the back as he lifts the torso away from the legs, leaping over them and pinning the torso down, Kicking the now stumbling lower torso and legs further away “If I rip you into tiny pieces, there’s no way you’ll be able to pull yourself together!” letting out an primal roar, Jack tears into the remaining torso, holding down its arms with his knees and slowly working his way up till there’s nothing that remains of its torso except a few wiggling branches. He then works on the struggling arms, getting a kick in the back of the head as the legs manage to find him, before he whips around and fires a laser through its knees, making them fall backwards. Finally destroying the arms, Jack grabs the stump of a head, and holds it up above his head, charging up a powerful beam, before dropping it, spreading his arms wide and blasting the falling head, disintegrating it completely “Ha…ha…haaaaaa.”

The Sorcerer’s Tower is in shock. “It- It- ripped it to shreds!” One said, mouth agape. The Head Sorcerer, wings covering his head “No, you don’t understand, all it did was sever our connection, our control of the Great Tree…” Receding further into his wings, he says something under his breath “If it was that simple to destroy, we would’ve done it already…”
