Hey guys,
Thank you so much for reading this! So, I'm sure quite a few of you disliked the ending. It's understandable. I had to rush the ending due to exams last year (when I wrote this) and I didn't have a desire to come back to this then. Simply, I felt I made too many mistakes for it to be worthwhile. I'm sure you all noticed at least one or two flaws, and there were plenty, trust me.
Feel free to read my other fiction as well, The Abandoned Sorcerer. It's a high fantasy which I completed a few months back.
Anyway, I'm currently writing another litRPG story now. It'll be out in July 2019. It'll be much better simply because I've written so much and learned so much from my mistakes/ other material over the year. Make sure to follow me as I'll post an announcement then. Thanks for your patience, all the best!
Nefarious, thank you for the read!
I enjoyed the story despite Stanis' faults and, although it might have been rushed, I'm a fan of dark endings- It gives a sense of finality. I was a bit disheartened over lack of sustenance the system provided in the later chapters though. It played such a big part in the beginning and setting everything up but once they joined the universal system it just turned into background noise. I also think it would have been better if the Necromancer turned Orena into a, intelligent undead like she did Stanis. If nothing else, it would add sympathy to her arc since she wanted to die but still can’t and now she’s under someone else’s control… That’s personal preference though and the story itself ended shortly after they were killed. All in all, it was an entertaining story and I look forward to your next.
Thank you! :D
Wow.... good read. I liked the character development even if this was far darker than I typically enjoy. I feel kinda bad for Stanis, not a whole lot of good times for the poor bastard. And the ending was pretty brutal, f*cking Pete, what a d*ck move. Still, this was well worth my time, thank you for your efforts in writing this one
ok so the idea is good it is well written but there is ideed a large amount of plot hole or badly executed plot segment but i wont talk about most of them since people already did i will juste say a thing about the stats
there is no logique intelligence was explained as the ability to think rationally and "cooly"
wisdom is about thinking out of the box
and tenacity is mental strengh
so my probleme is the mc should be one of the best people to analyse a probleme logically but he never di any deep thinking really , wisdome is thinking outside of the box but the dude never did , it always took someone too explaine to him or guide him and now the real probleme tenacity the dude should have 10x more tanacity than any normal being but he is still immature and easly shook by he's feelings particularily from de mid to the end the guy was literally never in control of himself and rarely rational .
I know that's what you wanted to write about so i'm not complaining about it but if you think about it the stats are THE plothole here because if they did what they should do then the mc psych should be different
that's all thank you for this novel nefarious this type of novel are in general not my type since i do have a preference for detached mc but it was a good read overall
I feel like the system novels should just exclude wisdom from the stats. It is very hard to add its effects to a novel unless the mc was a ret*rd initially and gradually gets common-sense. Wisdom is hard to quantify so dabbling into that stat usually leads to meager effects that are just glanced over in most novels.
The story had its ups and downs. Well mostly downs. In fact the only thing that makes this novel worth remembering is the ending. To be fair I was hoping that the MC dies. And my wish was granted. Though a good novel as first try.
Nice story but the ending was a bad taste in my mouth though.
Still thanks for the story.
Want to read another novels
you created.
cataclysm-system 2
Author I hope the series cataclysm-system part to come please release this series part to better style story happy ending correctly
I thought this series was decent, I realized it was going to have an abrupt end when there were only 135 chapters and there was so much to go on about.
The only thing I am really sad about is that he didn't get to finish his origin class. That was such a cool idea and other than Mana link and the starting class perks you went no where with it. Would have been really cool if dying for real completed his path and you ended it with that. Otherwise I feel like he should have picked tyrant. Would have been much stronger I assume at the beginning with how you worded it and he certainly didn't get very far past the beginning.
But yeah, good book and that was my only gripe.
thank you very much for this short journey mr nefarious, btw just saying bout there was one point that felt like a fore-shadow, didnt use it in the end tho. the tracer thing ANATOLY gave ORENA, didn't show up again.
The ending also kinda say, tho if mc revives too many times that would had been weird i guess. n wasnt there the mc being undead in the end? no bonus or what not there tho just saying
once again, thank you very for this short enjoyment you have given me?
Thank you for reading, lazy! I'm happy you found it enjoyable :)
sorry bout the typo haha
