Allan began explaining his method of how to measure Marcel’s magic, although the methods he came up with rely on Marcel's efforts.

For the first method, Marcel needs to willingly enter his magic pool and direct someone else into it, sort of like giving them an invitation. He'd then direct the one he gave an invitation unto a path till they see the center of the magic realm inside of Marcel.

Someone might be asking: What is this magic realm? Well, the magic realm or realm of magic as the name implies is a special place inside of someone. It can also be referred to as the source of a person's magic and also the location of the owner’s soul along with a few other things like memories and Informer. This realm is a mystery to most people as much about it is not known by them. What’s known about it is that one’s magic capacity and magic quality is something influenced by one’s magic realm, more or less. It’s also one of the most difficult places to enter as the path to it isn’t the easiest to find. The path leading to one's magic realm is the magic pool.

The magic pool’s appearance can differ from person to person and it’s most usual to find the magic realm represented by a sea of water, where the water is the magic power, leading to it being called the magic pool. Those with water-based magic pools tend to find it harder to get to their realm of magic as water current inside of their magic pools usually gets higher and higher the closer one gets to their magic realm’s entrance. Although the magic pool leading to the realm of magic is incredibly hard to pass through and those who make it to their magic realm and enter it tend to find new strength, it’s not advised to enter the magic realm as you can be stuck there forever.

Back to Allan’s method. The person doing who’s going to be visiting Marcel’s magic realm must be an expert on magic realms and have accurate control over mana to sense the magic inside of Marcel. Someone as peculiar as Marcel is expected to have his magic depicted in a different way than others.

The second method is to get Marcel to solidify all of his magic power into a physical object and that method is something that would take years if his magic realm is larger than expected. Marcel is also a beginner and hasn’t even learned how to solidify magic yet, so he wouldn’t be able to do it until his magic reserve is dried out. This method isn’t one of accuracy but it done correctly, can get one closer to an estimate than looking into Marcel’s magic realm will.

After Allan had suggested these two ideas, he had Marcel give his opinion on them and Marcel thought that it was a great idea. He would like to see what this magic realm Allan talked about and know more about his magic power as well.

After Marcel had thought about it, he decided to go with the first one since the second sounds boring and tiring and as someone who was currently bored, doing something that intensifies that boredom isn’t desirable. He made his decision and decided to roll with it.

When he’d made his decision and told Allan and Claude, Claude told Marcel to join hands with him. He was going to be the one to enter Marcel’s magic realm as he fulfills all the criteria that Allan mentioned. Marcel nodded and they began.

Claude told Marcel to relax and try to feel the magic inside of him. His magic realm is hidden in the deepest part of himself and going there usually takes days of wandering inside of one’s self to find the path leading to it, but they don’t have that kind of patience, so Claude is going to share his sense of perception with Marcel to make it easier for him to find the path. As long as Marcel finds the path, Claude will be able to enter Marcel’s body with his soul. Him coming in after Marcel won’t make the force think of him as a threat, thus allowing him to explore inside of Marcel with ease.

Marcel did as Claude instructed and for the first time in his life, he saw what his magic looked like. What he saw was a thick pure white mist, concentrated and very hard to see through, but that wasn’t important now. He has to find the path that Claude talked about and his magic wasn’t helping him in this situation.

Marcel walked forward inside of the thick mist, totally blind and without a clue if he was even on the right track. He walked for what seemed like hours and then he saw it he finally saw an end to the thick white mist. This was when he discovered that what he thought was his magic, the thick pure white mist was but the beginning of his magic power. After coming to the end of the mist, a curvy rope-like line appeared out of nowhere in front of him. The line that he saw seemed like it was moving away from him.

Marcel quickly ran towards the moving line and grabbed it, keeping it from moving any further, and when he’d grabbed that moving curvy line, something happened. He found himself on a red lane, and it wasn’t the only one he saw. It was dark there and the only things that gave light to that place were those lanes. They were different colors and different lanes intertwined with each other like an intricately designed weave happening in all directions, although, they all seemed to meet at a center point. Marcel though, couldn’t see the meeting point of those lanes. He was just at the entrance into the weird weave inside of him, so seeing the meeting point wasn’t something he could do, but at least he found the path or paths leading to his magic pool.

“Found it!” He alerted Claude to his discovery with those words and Claude’s consciousness immediately entered the path Marcel’s magic pool and he saw the lanes leading to the center, and quickly followed one of them. He soon saw Marcel on another lane and Claude told him that he’d be back soon.

Claude seemed to move round and round in the eyes of Marcel, like in a spiral. Claude seemed like he was moving at high speeds in a straight line, but he had no idea that he was flying in spirals while moving forward. Marcel studied Claude’s movements and thought that it might be beneficial for him in the future when he chose to visit this place again. Claude quickly vanished completely from Marcel’s sights and Marcel sat on the lane, waiting for what turned from minutes to hours. He was there for so long that he lost his sense of time inside of it. Claude continued with his journey to reach the center of Marcel’s magic pool on that lane he’d taken from the beginning, always looking to see if he was getting any closer to the center, but unfortunately, he was not. The lane he had taken eventually ended and he followed another towards the center and that one also came to an end. He soon, also lost track of time as he continued onwards, but then something happened after a while.

Claude was still flying forward towards the center when the line he’d taken suddenly began shaking. It jerked uncontrollably and snapped like a robe, and the other lanes did too. The now snapped lanes, moved towards Claude at high speeds and began attacking him, as if trying to keep him from going any further. The lanes were relentless in their efforts to try and stop Claude and Claude wasn’t having it easy. The lanes attacked him swiftly and although their attacks were unpredictable and badly timed, they seemed to be hitting him just fine. He got attacked until finally, the lanes converged into one giant lane and hit him, flinging him back to their starting point. Claude was flung so hard, that he passed Marcel and continued moving backward.

“See you outside!” He said before disappearing from Marcel’s sights. Marcel wanted to know what had happened, but Claude was no longer there to explain, so he tried leaving his magic pool by returning by taking the same way he’d come in, but then a lane came out of nowhere and flung him downwards. He didn’t even know that there was an up or down in that place, but he fell until finally, he opened up his eyes and was back in Allan’s workshop.

“So, how was it?!” Allan asked curiously.

“Um, I don’t know. I came across these different colored lanes while I was in there, then I led Claude in. Afterward, he followed the lane and vanished for what seemed like days in there, then suddenly, he comes back after being hit by one of those lanes and he was sent back, then I got kicked out as well.” Allan listened to Marcel’s explanation and it didn’t make sense at all. After all, this was his one magic pool and the magic realm he was talking about. It should be relatively easier for him as the owner to enter than someone else, but he got the same treatment as Claude as if his magic realm was telling him that he wasn’t good enough to gain entry to it.

Claude regained consciousness right after Marcel answered Allan’s question and he had a lot to say but decided not to. What’s the point of having to figure things out for one's self if someone just told you all the answers?

Allan asked him if he discovered something and he shook his head, but Allan seemed to have figured out that he didn’t want to tell Marcel about it, so he decided to inquire him about it later.

Just because Marcel doesn’t have to know about what Claude found out doesn’t mean that we don’t either.

Claude concluded in the end that they didn’t need to worry about Marcel’s magic pool’s capacity anymore. His pool didn’t even seem pool-like at all, but he came up with a theory that those lanes might be the different forms of magic that Marcel can or could be able to use. There were different colors in there, and most of them seemed like the basic and intermediate elements that Marcel had unlocked, but there were also some that didn’t seem at all like the ones Marcel had unlocked. He’d seen lanes with colors of spirit magic, necromancy, and many others, but this was something he was going to keep to himself. When the time comes and Marcel unlocks them is when he’ll try and act surprised so, that Marcel doesn’t discover that he already knew. Heroes do have it all.

Claude concluded that Marcel’s life was going to be a very interesting one to watch. He felt proud again, like a teacher who’d done a great job of bringing out someone’s true potential, although, he hasn’t had the time to teach Marcel anything lately because of a certain incident he was currently in the middle of dealing with. He plans to go back to teaching Marcel more when he’s done dealing with that problem. He might even try teaching Marcel one of his favorite tricks when he’s judges Marcel to be ready for it.

Claude, having thought a bit about the future, happily left and grabbed a few magic books pertaining to something to spirit weapons and cryogenic ice magic, then gave them to Marcel. He then told Marcel with a stern expression to leave to go study and that he had to help Allan clean up the mess first and have him do something for him. He also told Marcel that if there was anything he didn’t understand, he should call via telepathy or find him.

Marcel then left, thinking about how weird Claude was being while going back into his room to study the new material he’d gotten. The books about spirit weapons explained how powerful weapons like Sigurd can form souls and come alive if they were given time to grow. If he uses his diligently and masters Sigurd’s abilities while constantly feeding it his magic. He has to first grow something called a spirit seed. That will improve Sigurd’s abilities by a lot.

The other books that weren't about spirit weapons were about cryogenic ice. It explained the implementation of ice magic to freeze every single cell in a living being. Even some spirits are not exempt from the freezing power of cryogenic ice. If the user learns how to apply cryogenic ice properly, they can do so many things, like freezing their enemies to freeze to death, trapping precious cells that still live even after been frozen, preserving dead bodies to the extent that they look better than living bodies and many more.

The highest level of ice magic according to the books is called Eternal Ice. It’s unbreakable, unmelting ice that traps anything in the crevices of time itself with ice. Breaking out of this ice is almost impossible and those who use it are to be feared to the extreme. It has a counterpart by the name of Everburning Fire. Learning and utilizing this type of high-level ice magic would be very helpful in aiding Sigurd’s growth and abilities in the future, as the book on spirit weapons stated that if the users of such spirit weapons with souls utilized high-level spells with them, the weapons could end up picking them up themselves and utilizing them when they were fully grown. This was very good news for Marcel, although, the book also stated that he has to be of similar power level to the spirit weapon or else, the chances of Sigurd growing are pretty slim.

Marcel found a new purpose in life, or rather at the moment, It was to make Sigurd into a fully grown sword. He was hyped and was looking forward to seeing Sigurd grow in the future. At this point, we might as well say that the demon lord is safe as Marcel’s last thoughts on slaying the demon lord has finally been purged from his mind. Good job, Claude! Although, there’s this feeling that Marcel himself hasn’t realized that he’s completely given up on the idea of slaying his hubby, the dense boy.

Life is finally getting interesting around Marcel, and like all peace, the end is fast approaching.
