As Basara thought, Asia was indeed having a very bad day.

Everything had been good at first. The students were welcoming toward her; even though she was a foreigner, it didn't bother them at all.

The best thing was that she even made a first friend—a brown-haired girl wearing a pair of glasses. The girl was a little mischievous but Asia could clearly feel that she only had goodwill toward her.

The girl was named Aika Kiryuu.

This was Asia's first friend in school and she could already imagine how she could make more. She was excited at the thought and blissfully imagined how she would retell her day to Basara later tonight.

Such a simple happiness.

Sadly for her, this didn't last long.

A barrier?

Asia did have some knowledge in this domain. In fact, she could even create very simple and basic barriers. This was also what Freed had asked her to do when he…

Asia closed her eyes and breathed deeply. Now wasn't the time to remember how she participated in the murder of innocent people albeit unknowingly.

There was something much more pressing to think of.

"Everyone?"

The class had fallen silent.

Be it the students or the Teacher, they were all either sitting or standing still with their heads lowered in complete silence.

Asia began to fear for the worse and stood up hurriedly.

…This was the right move.

The moment she moved from her place.

A small dagger passed through the place she was previously. If she had stayed there, she would have most likely been injured.

'!!'

Asia panicked a little and looked at the source of the attack.

It was a student male. Someone who had been pretty shy and stammering when he tried to speak to her earlier. But now he was looking at her with a vacant stare and was holding a bunch of knives in his hand.

As if it wasn't enough, she could feel magic dwelling in him.

'This.'

If it was just that it wouldn't be a problem. Even though Asia wasn't a fighter and had never been on the field until she was expulsed from the church and joined the fallen angels, the current her could easily crush most people without using any skill.

But… It wasn't just one person.

Slowly, all the people in the class turned to stare at her. Like Zombies in a horror movie, they began to walk toward her and those already close to her began to gather magic ready to attack her.

Asia was lost about what to do.

"Asia! Let's flee!"

Asia looked up to see that Aika had already grabbed her hand and was beginning to run toward the exit.

Gazing at the back of the courageous girl who was trying to help her even though they had only met today, Asia's heart warmed and the haze in her mind dispelled.

Why did she make a contract with Basara?

Wasn't it because she didn't want to be helpless anymore?

Why was she cowering when a normal human could be so brave?

All of this happened in her mind in but an instant.

"Kyaaa!!"

Asia's eyes gave a firm light as she overtook Aikia and took her in her arm.

Ignoring the cute scream of the brave girl, Asia began to run. But…Not toward the door that was already swarmed by zombie-like people but toward the window.

At the last moment just as she reached the window, Asia turned around and jumped with her back toward it while hugging tightly and keeping firmly Aika's head, protected against her chest.

The sound of the window breaking sounded in her ears and she could feel the wind against her naked back, proof that her clothes suffered quite a bit.

She could also see that the legs of Aika were bleeding but Asia could only apologize inwardly. Anyway, as long as Aika was alive, she could heal her.

Like this, the two of them fell from the third floor.

If Asia was a skilled fighter, she knew that she could have changed her position perfectly but now she was too scared to make a mistake and wound Aika. This was why.

The two of them fell like a canon ball.

In her arms, she could see that Aika was bleeding a little and lost consciousness but she still heaved a sigh of relief.

Even if they fell like this, she wouldn't be hurt too much and could heal herself as well as Aika easily.

Let's brace for the impact.

Her thoughts were running at high speed but she knew that she couldn't stay in the air indefinitely. She closed her eyes and began to run her sacred gear in order to directly heal Aika when they hit the ground.

At least…This was how it would have gone normally.

Thankfully, Asia's luck didn't leave her completely.

Just as she was about to fall, she could feel that rather than accelerating, her fall was being slowed down.

'Huh?'

"Hello! Are you alright?"

Asia, opened her eyes and looked up. Floating in the sky with what looked like a mini tornado under her feet was a blue-haired young girl.

Asia should have been happy. The situation didn't allow this, sadly. After all, she recognized the uniform,

"An exorcist?"

What was an exorcist doing in a school run by devils?

The current situation seemed to be rather perturbing.

She hoped that Basara would come fast. Otherwise, she might be in danger.

Then she remembered that she wasn't a reincarnated devil even though she had used the Evil piece. It would be more accurate to say that she became a superhuman.

"Hello, my name is Kurumi. Kurumi Nonaka. Are you alright?"

Once they landed, Kurumi looked at the foreign girl with surprise. Kuoh was just a normal town.

She had lived here with her sister before her parents were transferred to the Vatican, but she had no memory of a family of foreigners living here [1].

For a moment her eyes sharpened as she wondered if the girl was a devil but she immediately dismissed the idea.

Not only was the girl not emitting the aura of a devil. She could even feel holy power coming from her as she healed herself and the other girl in a coma.

When she approached, she could see the other girl hesitate a little before giving her name.

"Thanks for helping us. My name is…My name is Asia Argento."

Kurumi's eyes widened.

A golden-haired girl, with healing power, calling herself Asia Argento.

Even though she had never met her, the number of girls who could become Holy Maiden was quite small and the number of Holy Maiden who got excommunicated was even smaller.

Even though she had never met her, there was only one Asia Asia Argento in her mind.

"Ex-Holy Maiden Argento."

Asia gave a bitter smile at the title but nodded.

Kurumi had hundreds of questions as she wondered what Asia was doing here but,

"We should stop the chit-chat now."

She looked around and saw many students slowly approaching them in a zombie-like manner.

Kurumi frowned.

This was going to be troublesome.

[1]: As I said, The Nonaka replace Irina and her father.

(AN: I wanted to use this one to show more of Asia and her mental dev. In DxD, Asia hated fighting and hurting other people so much that even her healing would heal the enemy if she used it. She had to literally create a sub-specie Balance breaker to shoot Targeted Healing arrows. My Asia will be a little different. Not like she will become a battle freak or whatever but more proactive.)
