-Goodbye mister David, thank you for looking after my unruly daughter, I hope you do well with your studies.

The mother spoke holding her daughter in hand as they stood on the busy train station where many people got off and onto the trains, smoke billowing out of the trains chimneys with occasional announcements echoing within the station to tell people when the trains will leave and arrive at their destination, for a person who had never been inside a major city like this they would probably feel extremely overwhelmed but for the mother daughter pair and for David they were extremely used to this to the point they didn’t even bat eyes.

-I too hope you well Ms.Ebonstein.

David politely returned her well wishes, even though he wasn’t comfortable around women it only counted towards those close to his age and those trying to hit on him, a mature woman like Ms.Ebonstein reminded David about his own mother from his original world which is why he was more comfortable.

-David! Let’s see each other again!

-Fiora !

Hearing her daughter say something like this Ms.Ebonstein couldn’t help but immediately reprimand her for being clingy, but David didn’t mind, he simply crouched down to her and smiled at her.

-If fate deems as such, then sure, let’s see each other again, and who knows if you work hard enough maybe we’ll even see each other as fellow Wizards.

Hearing him say this inexplicably made Fiora that much happier as she made her largest smile yet nodding to him.

Alas now it was time to part, looking at the clock both parties made their final goodbyes before parting ways, Fiora continued to wave her small hand towards David until they completely went out of sight, David still couldn’t help but smile remember her, but it was time for him to get serious.

He looked up the moment he raised his head the first thing he saw was a humongous tower shooting up into the clouds way beyond sight.

It already looked majestic when David and Fiora had seen it from the trains distance but now even closer he couldn’t help but feel that it was even more majestic then before, it made his blood boil, but more than anything he focused on the insignia that was drawn on the tower for everyone to see.

It was the black wing of a raven symbolizing wisdom and knowledge in this world, the very same insignia was sewn on David’s uniform chest and back, one large difference once he actually came here that he discovered was that people weren’t staring at him anymore as much as they did back in the train, while some woman gave him seductive glances David could tell that the majority of these people were already used to people who wore a uniform like him and didn’t pay him any mind, he felt as if he was back in his world within the busy city which made him somewhat comfortable as if he didn’t need to worry about anything.

-Well…but where do I go?

And just as he was thinking things would be fine a problem appeared as soon as he arrived as he didn’t know where to go, asking people was likely going to be the answer or directly heading towards the tower was another good option.

Fortunately, he didn’t need to do any of those things because as soon as he took a single step forward together with his luggage a loud commanding voice came over him to the side that stopped him in his tracks.

-Halt! Are you Sir David? From Murrtail village?

Hearing someone call his name together with his place of origin forced David to turn around as he looked towards the person who started to walk towards him.

But as soon as he saw her he felt an unexplainable dread come over him the moment he looked at her, David was uncomfortable around women, but never before was he this scared, at most he would feel his skin tightening whenever he talked to a woman and that would be it since he could still easily manage a conversation as long as he wasn’t touching her or was too close to her.

But this time around he couldn’t even move his body as if was being locked in place by a magic spell, he simply stared at the woman who was coming close to him her long dark gray hair going all the way down her waist while her hips shook with the rhythm of her steps that came from her long legs, her height was almost the same as his which was 185 cms which made her quite tall for a woman.

She wore high heels too making every step even more powerful and domineering with each click and clack that resounded, her legs in particular were covered by a pair of stockings darker then the night itself until they vanished into her skirt that neither covered too much or revealed too much but exposed just enough to tickle ones imagination, further up was her uniform which was the same as David’s with only minor modifications designed for females, her particular uniform David could immediately tell the designer did not measure her accurately as her bountiful chest pushed against the chest area in an overbearing manner as if it was demanding to get out immediately, now coming to her neck area here David could finally see that her skin color was totally different from the ones he was used to seeing, it was a complete ashen but not the unhealthy kind at least that’s how it looked to him and when he finally came to her face that is when he couldn’t help but swallow as his eyes went wide.

-(God, I noticed how there are far more beautiful people in this world then in my own, but this is on the level of a national model, I could never even dream of someone as beautiful as her ! How is she not causing a riot with that kind of face!)

David thought to himself watching her as he stared into her pinkish purple eyes, her lips were also a shade of pink and purple only drawing him further in as if he was being sucked into her.

But alas David quickly shook himself out of it, instead of looking at her he started to wonder how other people reacted to her and whether or not they were the same.

But unexpectedly the reaction of the people were completely different from what he imagined, the people who saw this woman approach, immediately turned the other way the moment they saw her, men in particular looked disgusted for some reason as soon as they looked at her body and it even looked as if they were cursing under their breath before walking away, of course not everyone was like that, the kids who saw her laughed at her while making strange faces at each other and the woman merely looked at her with pity and pain before turning away, all kinds of expression is what David saw as soon as this woman came forth all of which were negative, David simply couldn’t understand why that was the case, maybe she was simply not well received here or notorious for some reason which is why they didn’t like her which could also explain his dread towards this woman, but at the same time some things just didn’t add up which is why David felt strange.

-Hey! You! Are you David from Murrtail Village?

Unfortunately David had no time to consider any of that as that dreaded woman had already come close and started talking to him, for a moment David had turned into a statue while his face started to turn in a shade of gray making him look weird with his tan, he continued this statue charade for another 8 seconds not able to think of anything to say and it was at this point that the purple eyed beauty seemed to completely lose her patients as she sighed heavily while cupping her forehead in a gesture that signified immense pain and frustration, and if he didn’t see wrong…helplessness ?

In either case the unknown beauty no longer seemed to want to bother any longer as she looked at David coldly, this sudden turn of mood scared David even more as if it was his heart that was being frozen, he was used to women being cold to him back in his former world, but now it had been a long time since any woman acted this way towards his because of new appearance, this made him slightly forget about how women could be at times when they were looking at something unpleasant, but this gaze was different it was more of an unyielding gaze that didn’t allow for anyone to reach out and grab her akin to a fighter’s spirit.

Standing within this crowd David and the purpled eyed beauty stared at each other, the air was intense as if a fight was about to erupt, but David was sure that wasn’t the case at least that’s what he thought.

The woman spoke.

-My name is Syndra Dragora I am a second year of Ravenwing Academy close-quarter combat Division, I’ve came today under the orders of the headmistress to find a newly accepted student under the name of David from Murrtail Village, if you are this individual you can either follow me to the Academy or go there yourself if you so please, if you don’t know where it is the student handbook has a map on the very last page from where you can take reference of your position, on the flipside you can also ask the people, so with that out of the way I like to know if you…

Before she could finish her long and official dialogue that didn’t care about who he really was a loud voice suddenly came from behind him startling him for a moment and dispelling his frozen state.

-Ho ! If it isn’t your noble miss Dragora ! What brings you here? And is that a freshman I see next to you?

Hearing that voice, he turned around momentarily forgetting about the beauty before him to find a very small girl approximately 150 cms tall with a flat chest and skinny body who were he Ravenwing uniform, her hair was a light yellow and cut short giving her a cute countenance with her over all facial features but at the same time an air of heroism as she stood with confidence that you would usually find by those successful in life, furthermore surrounding her back there were a lot more people behind her both male and female wearing the same uniform indicating that they were all students of Ravenwing Academy.

If the people weren’t paying attention to a few Ravenwing students then they were now definitely paying attention to a whole group, and while usually a group of the same kind would make someone feel secure, David couldn’t help but feel as if he had accidentally stepped into a battlefield all of a sudden, the air around the beauty behind him especially turned a notch colder as she even started to exude a freezing mist from her body which David could only explain through magical phenomena.

The little girl wasn’t but looking at the woman called Syndra in a quite uncouth manner, they clearly didn’t like each other which caused a chilling atmosphere to form around them as they stood.

The people behind the little girl also seemed to support her as they glared towards the purple eyed beauty beside David turning this entire spectacle into tight deadlock no one could escape.

David had only made one step into this city and he couldn’t believe he already got himself involved in a dispute like this, David simply didn’t know what to do, he could talk decently but only when the situation didn’t bother him, unfortunately this situation did certainly bother him.

Feeling that he would need to wait a bit more before this was resolved David just kept on glancing at both sides, but feeling that there was no obvious attempt of communication he was about to speak up himself before…

-I… I just came here to under the instructions of headmistress Midgale, since I already explained everything to him, I ask of you to escort him to the academy that is all thank you…

Unexpectedly it was the beauty who yielded first, not sure what was happening he watched as the purple eyed beauty turned around and started to walk away into the crowd that parted like a sea as soon as she approached.

The little girl satisfied with this outcome started to approach David with a smile as she looked him over with a sparkle in his eyes.

-Welcome freshman! Sorry that you had to deal with someone like her the moment you stepped into the city, but don’t you worry you aren’t likely going to talk to her ever again, now if I may introduce myself I am Mishalka Kaldo…

-I am sorry, but I think I will go and follow her back to the academy, you seem busy with your group already so I don’t want to intrude.

-Huh?

Not sure whether or not she heard him correctly she could only blankly look at David as he quickly escaped from them like running away from a pack of coyotes, and in fact David did exactly feel like that as he didn’t like large crowds like this that had a lot of woman to boot, at the same time he felt the little girl was a bit too sinister for his taste and reminded him of one of those female bullies at school he used to constantly get picked by, the beauty on the other hand was more akin to the quiet girl from the library he felt familiar with and talked to whenever he had the chance, they were not similar in anyway shape or form, but David could see the resemblance in their persistent spirit, he knew that the library girl just like him had a lot going on in school when it came to no fitting in, back in school David never had the guts to approach the girl who was always amicable and kind to him whenever he came to visit, but now that he promised his former parents that he would try more seriously, he felt he needed to uphold his promise right now which is why he chased after the beauty.

Luckily running after the beauty was easy even with her speed and his luggage since she left a clear path of destruction or rather a path of people opening a way for her wherever she went, David could have called out to her to make her stop, but he was spineless remembering how cold she was making him scared only able to drag his luggage as he tried to reach her, it was already very impressive that he could keep up with all the stuff he was holding, but he wished the beauty would look back for a second to wait for him at least.

-What just happened? Did he just seriously leave me for that sewer monster? Am I dreaming?

Back where the group of Ravenwing students were gathered, everyone looked in surprises as they watched David go after the person Mishalka just rudely called “sewer monster”.

No one answered her, but no one disagreed either, Mishalka in particular wasn’t asking anyone either as she didn’t care about the opinions of those behind her, her eyes merely following the back of the boy who ignored her and was trying to desperately trying catch up to that hideous monster she felt nothing but disgust towards, it simply didn’t make sense to her, why?
