It all started when I was just 2, turning 3 in 2 months, I don't know what triggered it, but I started seeing things normal people can't see, I didn't mind them since I was too young to understand. When I turned 3, I can finally speak few words, my parents were overjoyed hearing me speak for the first time, they then started to teach me more words. After some time, I started talking to the spirits, my mother saw it, and she immediately gets me away from the spirit, she then scolds me for talking with them.

I just nodded, then when I turned 4, my father who was a former Exorcist, started training me to harness my own energy, we jog everyday at dawn, started doing some calisthenics exercise, and meditate everyday before breakfast, before we meditate, he always says to me,

she said happily.
My Father then heads towards our direction, when he arrive, he said to us,
[Sorry little one, but Taka here is not done with his training, you can play later after breakfast]
Yuka and I became best friends, we play everyday, eat together, explore the woods near our neighborhood, we spent most of our days with each other. Years went by, I just turned 6 last month, my father gave the gauntlet he used when he was still an Exorcist, It was his birthday gift to me.
A couple of months later, It's Yuka's birthday. I run towards Yuka's houses, while looking at the gift I'm holding, I'm excited to give it to her, it was a necklace with a box shaped pendant that houses our picture, when she opened it, she was so happy that she started crying, I then show to her that I wear the matching necklace, we then promise to each other that when we got separated, we will find each other. I spend the rest of the day at Yuka's house, her father forbids us to play outside, not only that today is her birthday, but because recently some people in our neighborhood started missing. Our parents allowed us to play to each other's house as long as we play inside, and have a parent escort us to each other's house.
It was just one normal day for us, Yuka and I playing heroes in the living room inside our house, I grabbed my gauntlet, wears it and pretend to shoot beams with my hand, we were having a good time when I suddenly heard heavy footsteps coming down the stairs very fast, It was my mother, she looks tense, while both of us continued to play, she runs towards us and carry us outside the house, she then drops us in the entrance gate of our property, she then said,
[Both of you stay here, you understand?]
we both nodded, she then runs back to our house again, Yuka and I started to play again outside, I still wear the gauntlet so we continued our hero play from when we were inside, while running, I then heard a loud booming noise, it was in the direction of my house, I turn to look at it, it exploded right in front of eyes, then it fire started to spread to my house, I started to cry, Yuka then hugs me. As I look at my house burning while I'm crying, I saw a silhouette of a creature inside the fire, slowly standing up, I then grab Yuka's attention and point towards to silhouette,
[Yuka look!]
I said while crying.
Then without warning, the silhouette jumps towards us, I was so shocked, at that moment, I forgot all the training I had with my father, it was happening very fast, then I saw Yuka stand Infront of me, I then passed out from fear. I don't know how long I pass out but when I woke up, I was inside a very old Japanese style room, it was already evening, then a man appears and greets me,
[Hello, little child what's your name?]
I then remember everything, I started to cry and scream, I'm slowly losing it,
[Calm down, Calm down, Breathe, Breathe]
said the man,
I listen to him, and I slowly started to relax, then I stand up, bow to him and said,
[I'm Kirisawa, Taka, thanks for taking me here]
[Nice to meet you Taka, I'm Sato, Goji]
he said,
he then looks at me, then handed my the gauntlets my father gave me and said,
[I'm sorry Taka, If I arrived earlier, I could have saved your parents]
Hearing that, I felt a sharp pain in my chest, I started to cry again, then I remember Yuka and said,
[Yuka! I was with Yuka when it happens, what happened to her? where is she?]
he then taps me on the shoulder and said,
[Sorry Taka, after slaying the Xira, I inspect the surrounding area, I did not saw anyone besides you Taka]
I cried louder after hearing that, I cried myself to sleep that night. The next day, I went to look for Goji-san, I saw him meditating in his garden, seeing that, I remember the trainings I had with my father, I then joined Goji-san meditating, after we meditate, he applaud me that I can do it properly at such a young age, while we were heading inside, I remember what he said yesterday,
[Xi-, Xi-, Xiya?]
I said to myself,
then after arriving Infront of the door, I asked Goji-san,
[Goji-san, what is the Xiya?]
he kneels to me, taps my shoulder and said,
[Xira, it's Xira, they are otherworldly creatures that feeds on human souls]
then when we head inside his house, he gestured me to come closer to him, I approach him, he gestured me to sit down,

After he tells the whole history of Xiras in Japan, he said to me that he was also a former Exorcist, upon hearing this, I asked him if her could train me, he agreed, and we began training immediately. After a couple of years, when I'm was first year on my middle school, Goji-san started to bring me to his nightly hunts, we hunt Xiras at night, as they are much aggressive at night, couple of years later, after my graduation on my middle school, Goji-san said to me that I'm a fully pledge Exorcists, I thought I would be happy, but I felt nothing. I then decided to move to the city for my high school, I'm at the back of the taxi, looking at the scenery as it slowly changing from rural to urban, after a couple of hours, I arrived at my dorm, head towards my room, drops my pack, and head to my bed.
