After the entrance ceremony of my school, I was walking to my classroom, when suddenly, someone crashed into me, we both fell on the ground, I look at the other person, It's a girl, she's got a short brown hair and looks to be athletic, she then looked at me and said,
[Hey you! be mindful of the surroundings]
[I'm sorry]
I said, while bowing,
[Fine, as long as you understand]
she said proudly,
She then run pass by me, and I get up to walk towards my classroom. The bell rang, signaling that the class is over, I packed my things and head towards my dorm. At the dorm, I dropped my belongings, change my clothes and open the box containing my gauntlet.
I waited for dusk to fall, then I headed out to patrol the area, most Xira and other spiritual entity is active at night because the chances of encountering a person with magical energy are low, that's why Goji-san and I hunts them at night.
After a couple hours walking around, I saw a boy walking towards school,
[Hmmm, strange, schools already close, why would he go there?]
I said to myself,
I followed the boy secretly, after a couple of minutes, at the quadrangle, the boy started to shake, then he passed out, I then saw a Xira slowly getting out of the boy's body, then when the Xira was about to take the boy's soul, I went in
[NORTHERN FIST STYLE, FLYING RIPPLES!!!!!]
Flying ripples is a technique using the momentum from your body, first you need to turn around a couple times before charging with an uppercut.
After punching the Xira, the Xira screamed in pain, then I saw the boy's soul entered back to his body. The Xira then jump towards me,
[NORTHERN FIST STYLE, WIND LOTUS!!!]
Wind Lotus is a counter technique, It needs perfect timing to use it.
I dodge him and counter him on its face,
[NORTHERN FIST STYLE, RAINING SAKURA!!!!]
this technique is very taxing on my stamina because I need to continuously punch the pressure points and dodge at the same time.
After 2 minutes of continuous Raining Sakura, the Xira finally slowly disappears, I take the boy Infront of police station without revealing myself, I quietly went back to my dorm and call it a day.
The next day, I went to classroom, everything seems normal, I saw the boy I saved yesterday, so he went to this school too. After eating my lunch on the rooftop, I was heading back to my classroom, thinking about how can improve because the Xiras I'm encountering, started to become a hassle, it takes a lot of effort to take them down, it's different in the past, when Goji-san let me hunt Xira by myself, It only took 8 punch to defeat a Xira, but now it takes 30+ punch to defeat a single Xira. I was walking in a hallway while still thinking about it, suddenly someone crashed into me again, I look at the person, It's the same girl from yesterday,
[Hey!! didn't I said to be mindful of the surroundings]
she said angrily,
[I'm sorry]
I said, while bowing,
[Ain't gonna cut it this time]
she said,
[I'm really sorry]
I said, while I bow slowly (NOTE: bowing slowly in Japan is much more respectful than bowing normally)
[Forget it, It's all in the past now]
she said, while she scratch her head,
she then run by pass me, I walk towards my classroom. The class went smoothly, after the class is over, I went back to my dorm, ready myself for the night.
As I patrol the area, I'm thinking about what Goji-san said to me,
[Taka, an Exorcist never fights alone, you'll encounter hardships, but you must face them with someone]
he said,
[Yeah, after we separate, taking down a Xira becomes much more harder]
I said to myself,
then as I walk to the park, I saw a stray Xira who haven't possess anyone yet, I quickly followed it, when it stops in the middle of the park, I quickly jumps into it,
[NORTHERN FIST SYLE, RAGING WATERFALL!!!]
Is a technique using most of your upper body to punch an opponent as hard as you can.
The Xira crashes into a tree, I was about to jump on it again, when another Xira attacked me Infront by surprise, I barely dodge it. As I stand there, still focusing on my enemies, I think to myself
[This is bad, two Xiras at the same time]
the first Xira that I punched, gets back on its feet, both of them was about to jump me when suddenly a barrier appears Infront of me,
[KABE!!] (NOTE: Kabe is japanese for wall)
someone said, then I saw the Xiras tried to jump Infront of me again, but the barrier holds them, then the Xiras went to the end of the barrier and jump towards me,
[Die!!!!!]
a girl said, as she comes down from the sky, kicking the Xira, then after she landed, I saw her back and said to myself,
[Short brown hair, that tone of voice, I think I saw her somewhere before]
then the girl offered her hands to me, I grabbed it and stand up, finally I saw her, she wears a blue jacket that is open with white shirt inside and navy blue denim shorts, then when I looked at her face, I was shocked, she was too, then we both said,
[You!!!!]
[It's dangerous leave]
I said,
[If I arrived a little late, you would've been dead]
she said proudly,
then the two Xiras jump on us again,
[NORTHERN FIST STYLE, WIND LOTUS!!!!!]
I countered both the Xiras, then after my punch, they suddenly fell to ground, like someone is pushing them,
[KABE!!]
I then saw a white barrier pushing the two Xiras on the ground, I then said to the girl,
[I'll charge up a big attack, hold them]
the girl nodded, I then get into my stance, close my eyes, and feel the energy inside me, after a couple of minutes, I opened my eyes,
[NORTHERN FIST STYLE, HOWL OF THE MOON WOLF]
as I charge towards the two Xiras, my gloves are glowing as if it's covered in energy, then as I'm closing on the two Xiras, I saw the white barrier disappear, the two Xiras was about to stand up when I landed the attack, the ground shattered, smoke is slowly clearing out, I then stand up look at my surroundings, the ground zero of the impact looks like mess, but thankfully it's just on the grassy side of the park. I then look towards the girl, she's walking towards me,
[Hey you, are you an Exorcist?]
the girl said to me,
[Yeah so?]
I said,
[Partner up with me]
she said,
[Huh?]
I said,
[I'm a Miko, you're an Exorcist, they should normally team up right?]
she said,
[I don't know, my master only thought me to battle]
I said,
[What? you mean you didn't attend to a Exorcist dojo?]
she said,
[Exorcist dojo? I was trained by my father and Goji-san, It's enough for me]
I said,
[Well you see, when I was still training to be a Miko, the teacher taught me, that Exorcist and Miko must always work together]
she said, while she scratch her head,
then I remember again what Goji-san said to me,

[Alright, I'll be your partner]
I said, as I offer my hand,

she said, as she's shaking my hand,
