Two days later at the Guild.

The Loki, Freya, Ganesha, Hermes, Astraea, Susanoo Familia gathered together for a meeting.

“I guess we all have the Familia Leaders gathered here.” Said Royman the Guild Head, a rather overweight elf that has served the guild for well over 100 years. “Now let’s start talking about our countermeasures to deal with Evilus. But before that, explain what’s going on!! Every day now we have incidents and the last time the huge raid couldn’t even be prevented!”

“And the fire of the 20th floor.” Said Cirrus.

“That as well!”

“If you want them dead you shouldn’t ask adventures to go into the dungeon and  also do Evilus hunting at the same time. Asking me to run around the city after an expedition like this, are you actually insane!?” Allen said aggressively.

“It can’t be helped! Now that your and Loki’s Familia’s took over the reigns as Orario’s strongest we have to show priority to the world we are dauntless! If not then it could create a second or even a 3rd group like Evilus! The secrets of the Dungeon will never be known through the power of Orario!”

“Just say it. Your worried about your pathetic little power and status which you been miserably clinging on for years.”

“That’s enough Allen.” Said Finn. “Arguing over nothing will get us nowhere.”

“Don’t say my name you little Pallum. It gets on my nerves.”

“A Familia child who can’t even communicate properly huh? I guess Goddess Freya wasn’t a perfect goddess after all.” Said Riveria.

There was anger in Allen’s eyes, as if he was ready to jump over the table and punch Riveria in the face.

“You elf. You wanna die!?”

“That’s enough.” Cirrus said. “No more arguing, the more we bicker the more time we waste that we could be saving innocent lives.”

The tension in the room calmed a bit.

“Good now…who is going to start first?”

“I’ll start.” Said Gareth. “But not to defend Royman, but it was my responsibility that I couldn’t keep things in control. I do not know how to apologize enough.”

“It happened in broad daylight, and we could’ve seen it coming." Said Shakti. "Yet it couldn’t have been prevented. And hey you were dealing with Arachnia. All of us including Finn were expecting more explosions…that’s where we made a mistake. We told Gareth to look for suspicious people.”

“It’s not surprising, seeing as how much stuff they clean to the bone from all of these factories and then blow them up with people like us coming in to investigate only to have the dam building and person blow up on you.” Said Cirrus.

“Are these explosion similar to your Cirrus?” asked Asfi.

Everyone turned and looked at Cirrus.

“No, mines are far safer on the person using it and aren’t as powerful depending on its construction. The bombs Evilus are using is all or nothing that were slapped together lined up with Kaenseki making for a more…assured way to end a life.”

“Can we see one of these?” asked Finn.

“Asfi.”

Asfi pulled out one of Cirrus’s grenades and placed it on the table. Right from the get-go they could see the drastic change in quality and design.

“Um these are the ones I made; the originals are less modified.” Asfi said.

“Does it use magic stones?” asked Riveria.

“No, it’s a more of an alchemic reaction to certain elements that make this, I used these personally back in Shalzard there I used these to blow up the prisons. They kept people who didn’t like Vritra in them kept like a barrel of fish. Which begs the question, why are they stealing so much from the Magic Stone Factories? If I was them I would have improved the weapon I’m using to attack, not keep using some shoddy explosive.”

“Perhaps they are keeping them for now as it’s not the time for using them?” said Riveria.

“At first it was a guess. Second I didn’t want to keep the guard level too high that’ll make it hard to lure out the enemy.” Said Finn.

“So, Braver. Are you saying that the raiding was part-established harmony? Did you round the numbers of the possible victims to the nearest ten?” Kaguya said.

“It sounds like an excuse but even we couldn’t predict the degree of damage. But we managed to get in touch with the enemy’s main force.”

“How impressive, I’m genuinely surprised Finn.” Said Allen.

“Thank you but…I hate myself for having to make such decisions after decisions.”

Finn had on a rather gloomy look when Alise stepped in.

“Alright that’s it! this conversation ends now! Any more of this gloomy discussion and it’ll make me want to gorge myself in cakes!”

“Alise Lovell…you are quite something.” Said Asfi.

“What? we’re all trying to do our best to save the city, and this isn’t the time to dilly dally on stuff that we did!”

“Your right indeed, dauntless little girl! Ba-hahaha!” laughed Gareth.

“Hmph. Even she’s logical.” Said Allen. “Seems the world is ending.”

“Unless you have better things to say, behave. She is trying her best here to.” said Riveria.

“I’ve even won a first-class adventurers respect with justice! How impressive am I!” Alise said smugly.

“Would be more impressive if you didn’t have that ego you have.” Said Cirrus.

“Yes you shouldn’t let yourself get carried away anymore, captain.” Kaguya said. "it's a bit embarrassing."

“Can’t I have this!” Alise shouted.

“Hahaha. I’d love to keep enjoying this brother-sister conversation but as both of you said we need to get back on topic and get this done and finished.” Said Finn with a lighter expression. “First, intel on the dark market that Shakti and her crew managed to take care of-“

From there everyone covered the incidents that transpired.

“So, we have covered the incidents that happened until today and I guess…that’s about it. does anyone have anything else to say?”

“From my look into it and Cirrus’s accounts one of Evilus’s member is a genuine experienced warrior.” Ottar said.

“Ah the person who put a hole through Deep Floor Adamntite and was seen leaving the fire of the 20th floor, and that once incident back in winter?” said Alise.

“I have a guess on who it is, but I must confirm it with my eyes. But know that they are not just any higher-up of Evilus.”

“That’s enough to gauge their strength but, Ottar, Cirrus. What do you think is their strength?”

“Higher than 6. Anything below is just impossible.”

“Cirrus?”

“I say about level 6 or above as well, but they could have a skill to further strengthen their abilities.”

“Yeah even that lady in the hood managed to knock me down after a use of her magic even after I flung her out the church window.” Said Ai.

“W-what!? Their as strong as the Warlord, Kirin, and Flashing Saint!?” said Royman who was starting to sweat bullets.

“Yes, that woman at the storehouse. From what Ai had said she was a Magic Swordsmen having enough skill to block one of Ai’s attacks with a cheap weapon. There wasn’t any real damage, but everyone were playing on the palm of her hand.” Said Shakti.

“The only thing we got of note from her was that she had mismatched eyes and a black dress, anything else is still left unknown.” Ai said.

“It’s more than safe to assume she’s with Evilus and seeing as she crushed her own group we should assume she isn’t one to go out into active chaos.” Cirrus said.

“Then let focus on the first one. A warrior like that is a part of Evilus. I suggest each Familia stay together as a team in case we find one of these two people.” Finn said.

Everyone nodded their heads in agreement.

“Excellent now to the next part. According to the findings based on researched performed by the Hermes’ Familia we found the new basecamp of Evilus.”

“Oh?” everyone’s ears perked up.

“They’re using an abandoned facility. The scale is way bigger than before and there are three of them. We don’t have further details, including those disguised as commoners, they come in, in great numbers and they’re sketchy. This must be their main base.”

“Dam if only my contact was old, and strong enough to do that!” said Cirrus.

“Your contact?” said Alise.

“Yeah my contact, they gathered a good amount of information before they decided to go underground.”

“Did they get any good information at the time?” asked Asfi.

“Just supply routes and the things like that but nothing much since well most important stuff are discussed inside.”

“Well regardless we are going to invade all three bases at the same time.” Said Finn.

“We, Astraea will take one with Susanoo since we work very well together!” said Alise.

“You know I haven’t said anything.”

Alise gets up and puts the map down of Orario in front of Asfi and she marks down the locations of the maps.

“Look we need Familia’s for the mission right? Both Loki and Freya don’t work well together so they have to take one and that leaves us with one more slot and seeing as both Astraea and Susanoo’s Families are very small in number we can make up with it if we work together which we have plenty of experience with!” Alise said.

“Finn we can’t spread our headcount between the three to round it off and cover any blind spots.” Said Shakti.

“Then let’s go with that plan. We’ll take one and Ottar you can take one.”

“Fine.” Ottar said.

“Excuse me but how are we sure this isn’t a set up?” said Kaguya.

“We’ll keep that in mind. We’ll make sure to have our strongest team working on it while keeping our eyes on other parts. We’ll seek help from all the strong Familia’s including Hephaestus, Ishtar, and Dionysus. Royman you can take care of your part?” said Finn.

“Of course, I don’t have a choice in the matter. But to restore peace in the city again…”

“I want the Hermes Familia to keep an eye on all parts of Orario, it would have been better of the Artemis Familia were here but seems some merchants connected to Orario were outside of the city.”

“We’ll pass along anything that happens.” Said Asfi.

“And since this is going to be a massive mopping-up operation we need to know their base. We can’t pretend we didn’t see them. We must strike out. And the mission starts-in three days. So be extremely careful that our enemy doesn’t find out what were up to.”

“Guess that’s the end of the discussion then.” Said Cirrus.

“Hm, the meeting is dismissed.”

Walking away from the meeting was a lone guild employee scurrying off.
