After helping around the city a Guild Employee asked for his help.

South city gate.

“We’re thankful you’re here Cirrus.” Said Asfi.

“Yes! With your help I’m sure this will go well!” said a Guild Employee a bit away as she is scared of him. “But um…can I ask a question?”

“What?” He said glancing at her.

“Do you really think that we…the city of Orario would win this war?”

“We’ll do our best, and we will fight till our last breath, you can count on that. And with your cooperation things will go smoother.” Cirrus gives her a gentle smile.

“Y-yes! I’m sorry for doubting you!” she said running off in a blush.

“I’m going to tell Ai that.” Asfi said.

“What? Everyone needs a little boost in these gloomy times. Plus anything is better then having her look at me like I'm a monster. When she came up to me she was shaking like I was a wolf who was gonna eat her!"

“I couldn’t agree more. Seeing her run off with a happy expression made me want to fight more.” Said Falgar a weretiger of the Hermes Familia.

“How devastating that a single girls smile is rare enough to bring will to a person.” Asfi said.

“A smile from a beautiful woman can do that.”

They turn to see Hermes walking to them. His clothes were stained with blood and dirt.

“Lord Hermes! What are you doing here without a bodyguard! Where is Lydia! Why are your clothes bloody!"

“…” Hermes made a solemn expression as he lowers his feathered hat. “Asfi…from this moment on you’re the commander of the Familia.”

The Hermes Familia felt their hearts drop.

“…Fuck.” Cirrus said holding his head down.

“H-huh? S-stop playing around Lord Her-“

“Lydia, our former captain is gone…you’re the new captain now.” He said with a stern face. He wasn't joking.

“!!” Asfi was shaken to her core.

“…How did it happen?” Cirrus asked as he works to keep his emotions from bursting out.

“…She was saving lives." Asfi said with pain in her voice. "I should stayed to help." She clenches her fist tightly, had she not have gloves on her nails would have dug into her palm.

“…Come one let’s get these people out of here and into Melen.” Cirrus said with restrained anger in his voice.

“Cirrus! But I-“

“Asfi, I know you can do this. We can grieve after everything is over and done with, but for now you are the new captain and we all must push forward.” Cirrus looks at the gate with annoyance. “I need to relive some stress anyways. (Exousía, Adorn: Stymphalian), (Swords of Damocles).”

He flies over the wall and spots all the member with bombs in their hands. Cirrus then fires off the feathers of his wings  tinged with electricity made by magic and set off the bombs.

“Tch! Go!! He gave us an opportunity!!!” shouted Asfi.

“UROOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!” shouted the adventures there.

As they charge into battle Hermes made a sad smile.

“Seems you taught her well enough...heh-haha” He chuckled a bit before tears come down his face hidden by his hat. “Lydia..."

Arriving at Melen with several people the Poseidon and Njord Familia welcomed them in.

“Come in! You all must be scared and hungry!!” shouted Poseidon with Lance next to him brandishing Unfading Light.

“Thank you! Thank you so much!!” shouted the people.

As they all came into the city Poseidon came up to Cirrus.

“Hey kid do you have a second?”

“Hm? Um…I can spare a second, but I have to get back to Orario.”

“That’s fine, follow me.”

Leaving the group of citizens, Poseidon leads Cirrus down through alleyways off to the edge of the town where a house that was of higher quality than every other building besides it with a tall white picket fence.

“Uh…what’s this place?”

“You’ll see.”

He opens the door and as Cirrus steps in he could see a lush garden filled with various kinds of vegetables. It reminded him of Demeter’s farms whenever he left Orario, just walking by them and seeing the people working on them gave Cirrus a peace of mind.

But within the garden Cirrus saw a beautiful straw-hat bobbing around, as if it was designed by a famed designer.

“Oy I brought him.” Poseidon said taking a seat under the shade.

The hat stopped bobbing and the person wearing it stood up and glanced at Cirrus, the face still hidden by the top of the crops they were growing.

“!?!?!?”

Cirrus felt as though his existence was being checked, he could feel her sharp ruby eyes examine him top to bottom underneath her straw-hat.

“So…” her voice was as elegant and sweet like Freya’s. “You are Cirrus Zephyr?” the way she carried herself was like that of Artemis and Astraea but with more power, pride, and something they didn’t quiet have, regality.

She walked up to a few feet away.

“Y-yes! That is me.”

She removed her hat and showed her face to Cirrus. Her divinity then came out like a flaming golden radiance.

“!!!”

Her face shook Cirrus to his core as he has seen her face once before.

“M-mom!?”

“Fufu, no my name is Hera.” She made a sweet smile approaching Cirrus. “But.” She placed her hands onto his cheeks and looked into his eyes. “You can call me grandma if you like?”

“Ah.”

He could see a slight swirl of madness in her predator-like eyes as their eyes locked with one another.
