18th floor in the town of Rivira in a bar called The Golden Cellar.

“So who do you think will be our reinforcements?” said Falgar, a weretiger of the Hermes Familia and its vice-captain.

“I don’t know but I hope it is someone competent,” Said Asfi. “Haa…I wished I could have gotten the purpose of this quest from Lord Hermes but…” She took out a crystal necklace. “This necklace certainly isn’t for me.”

Asfi knows it’s an item, but what it is, is beyond her. If she was in her workshop she could have figured it out.

Creak!

“!” They all turned to the stairs as someone is coming down.

Creak!

Creak!

 Creak!

Tap!

Standing at the base of the stairs was the Sword Princess.

Asfi could feel her eyes gazing at everyone in the bar.

“Let us hope she is the reinforcements,” Falgar said.

“Yes. If we have her I can feel more--"

Crash!!

Lulune, a Chienthrope of the Hermes Familia with black hair and brown eyes along with light brown Chienthrope ears on the sides of her head and a tail. She is wearing a distinct red scarf.

“Y-y-you’re the reinforcements!?!?” She shouted.

“…Well lucky us.”

Asfi looked at everyone and nodded her head. Everyone in the bar stood up.

“Lulune. Are you sure she is the one?” Asfi said, looking at Ais.

“Y-yeah! She said the codeword.”

“Were you also given a quest?” Ais said, helping Lulune up.

“Yes, I am thankful we have you as our reinforcements. Let us be off. Do you understand the goal in our jobs correct?”

“Hm.” Ais nodded. “The pantry on the 24th floor.”

“Very good. We can give introductions on our way there.”

They give their introduction along the way.

Along the way, Ais learned how skilled the Hermes Familia was. They were fast, efficient, and all without saying a single word, just a glance of the eye was enough.

‘It’s not enough.’ Asfi thought. ‘We can still improve better.’

She looked back at her Familia to find them a bit tired.

“ We're taking a short break.” She reached behind her back and took out a grenade. She pulled the pin and tossed it at the Dungeon wall.

Boom!!!

Leaving a good-sized hole.

“We will rest here. Check your weapons, gear, and supplies.”

They all took a break.

“Fuu~” Asfi lets out a deep breath. She empties out her mind to sort out what she needs to do. But someone couldn’t stop talking. “!” Asfi opened her eyes and glared at Lulune who is talking to Ais.

“Lulune. How many times do I have to say to keep your lips tight. We may be working together but she does not need to know our Familia secrets.”

“S-sorry! I just never really talk with another girl my age?”

“…Just watch what you speak, alright?” Asfi turned to Ais. “You know how it is. It’s better to keep things within the Familia.”

“Hm. I understand. Finn and Loki are the same.”

“As expected.”

“But um…could I ask one thing?”

“What is it?”

“That tool you used that exploded, what is it? It’s not like the bombs used during the Great Feud?”

“I cannot say. These were trusted to me, and I prefer to keep them secret. But I can say they were trusted to me by the same person who gifted me these long metal boots.”

Ais could tell from a glance that those boots were of very high quality, the amount of work put into them made her remember Gareth's special shield and even the shield Finn has in his office.

After their break, they kept going down to the 24th floor. There they found a Monster Parade happening.

“Ais do you think you can handle this?” Asfi said.

“Hm. Leave it to me.”

Asfi watched as she dropped.

The moment she touched the ground she kicked off with her sword already drawn.

Swish!! Swish!! Swish!! Swish!!

Swish!! Swish!! Swish!! Swish!!

Ais cut down the monsters with a single swing. She didn’t stop this assault even when she saw the bodies of two adventurers being eaten.

She kept on cutting them down.

Watching her from above, Asfi noticed her style did not fit her.

‘Those movements. They are his but they're being held back by her leg placement.’

Asfi had watched Cirrus when he painted the street red. She saw how he moved in a flow of brutality using his whole body. Ais had a similar appearance, but she was still using her upper body more than her lower body.

After she was done dealing with the monsters, Asfi came up to her as the Familia took all the magic stones to prevent another monster from eating them and becoming an Enhanced Species.

“Ais your movement. Did you copy Cirrus?”

“Hm. I did.”

“It is a good copy, but you are hindering it.”

“I am?”

“Yes. Did no one tell you; you are too top-heavy?”

“Umm…Maybe once.”

“Well…if you really get his movement down you need to keep your legs in mind.”

“I’ll try! Thank you for the advice!” She said, giving Asfi a small smile.

They kept journeying to their destination until they reached a massive green wall of flesh-like material.
