Ryu's pov

Sitting all alone in a room that no one apart from me knew about in this forest I kept on channeling my mana through the glyph on the floor, faint light emitting all around me coming from the glyph, in last two years I have successfully channeled among 80% of the whole glyph,

'These last 20% is harder than the other 80%' I thought as I kept channeling going at the points where my mana goes through the mana crystals there is a ticklish feeling as if they are mixing in the channeling stream,

After a bit I could feel it, I am in the parts of glyph where I have never been to the mana slowly moving along curves and gears of glyphs breathing,

'This is enough for today,' I thought as I made sure of visible growth in the red part of the glyph by slowly opening my eyes,

Snow would be happy if she saw the glyph colored this much, but I wonder what would be the surprise that Snow had set in this big and complicated glyph,

I made my way out of the tree room, after making sure no one is near, my mana had increased a lot by mediating channeling on this glyph,

"The forest of ender nights, cold and sharp, shatter my enemies apart Icicles strike!!" I chanted my channeling in chanting is another thing that increases after this daily practice, and in turn, to that, the spell chanted give finer effects.

The icicles strike hit the ground and freeze a bit of area near it. This was an improvised effect of chanting properly.

My today's plan was altered due to something that happened during morning's breakfast and I can't train alone today,

I made my way back home and unlike before I can freely move out of the jungle even if other adventurers see, since I became 13-years old I was at the perfect age to not look suspicious going out and into of forest alone,

"Hey Ryu, what did you think about our offer?" a chubby man with an ax asked,

"Sorry, mamo, I still am finding my ways around, I am not interested," I answered him, mamo is someone who is trying to get me into his party for a while now as a mage, but I am always denying,

"You really are her student!! Ha-ha!!" Mamo laughed as he and his party passed beside a young girl who looked to be around the same age blushed as she passed by me, she always does that it has become one of the sources of my confidence,

I made my way out of the jungle fast by using [Quickening] and [Silent stepping III] in the last 2 years my level only increased by 1 but my control over skills and techniques has nice growth, especially in the party training I learned many things,

Being 19 level adventurer is very high for a 14-year-old, as most of the adventurers in this Zerah town are not above level 20, there are only a few who are at levels like 22 and 25 but they are quite aged like 30 years old or so,

The main reason for their level not increasing could be being limited to Zerah forest and living a stable life selling poison sacs and other stuff for medicines, therefore only getting a limited amount of experience and exp needed to level up goes a bit up every level, killing the same kind of enemy many times just make the exp gain lower and level difference is also a factor,

I reached the garden of Grandpa chief's house,  Jue and Aiena were already there.

"Ahh, Ryu right on time!!" Aiena said,

"I thought big brother forget about it!!" Jue said as grinned,

"Sorry I was a bit late? Where is grandpa chief?" I asked them, this morning Grandpa chief arrived at the breakfast with Hina and Jue and told me and Aiena that we should visit in the garden in the afternoon as he had something important to tell us,

"I don't know Ryu; Grandpa chief was here for a few minutes but said he will be back in an hour!" Aiena said cluelessly, but Jue was still smiling in a manner as if shouting inside

'These two don't know what I do' and this made me frown this little brat was up to something, it had only been 2 weeks since his birthday,

After a bit of waiting Grandpa chief come but his entry shocked us, he came in a carriage inside the Garden as he stepped out, he spoke,

"Did I make you kids wait long? I am sorry founding suitable carriage took time" with an amusing smile, he knew I was shocked and he was enjoying making us confused and shocked but unlike me, who held the question back Aiena asked tilting her head,

"What is this carriage for? Chief grandpa?"

"This is for you all" Grandpa chief said so casually and I wanted to shout

'What!? Give context?' but held back because I knew he won't leave us clueless. Only Jue was the one who wasn't shocked,

'Shall I shock him with a dagger going near his head and coming back,' I thought but shifted my focus back to Grandpa chief who began speaking.

"So the Adventure Guild master of next town is a special friend of mine, he got an unusual request from someone which is very specific stating needing unofficial adventure party to help in the expedition of an emerged dungeon… the party needed is to help the client with the expedition and he is an important person so the request cannot be ignored but the problem was the security of this person is utmost important that is why he asked me for help,"

He looked at each of us, making sure we are understanding what he is saying, and when I nodded, he continued speaking,

"So he asked me for someone who can protect this person in the dungeon and help in the expedition, but won't look down on this person, as the client is a 14-year-old as well,"

He once again waited for a nod from us.

I and Aiena were confused but still nodded, but Jue nodded enthusiastically and I cast a frost glyph near his feet as a joke, but he totally ignored it in his excitement,

And Grandpa chief continued,

"And then there was Jue's request for his birthday, to go on a dungeon expedition or some other place for training with Ryu and Aiena. So I decided you three should be the ones accompanying that client,"

Aiena was baffled, but this time I was the one who nodded even more enthusiastically than Jue this was a golden chance to explore a dungeon with random monsters meant fresh exp, and also emerged dungeon is another name for a young dungeon they have something called core I always wanted to see,

"Good to see Ryu is looking forward to it, first these few things you should care about unless a dangerous event does not show your manifest and try not gaining too much attention of that child client, make sure if in any case his life is being threatened do not step back!"

Hearing the last part I was suspicious of whoever this kid was but I decided on being as inconspicuous as possible. I have been to the next town a few times with grandpa chief and Geld.

I doubt someone that important was there,

"I will take care of it, village chief!" I reaffirmed it, and then while patting mine and Jue's head, he spoke.

"One last thing, keep care of yourself more than anything else!! Ryu don't do anything too crazy okay!! you two take care of it"

"I won't do anything crazy!! probably" I answered, reassuring him, and then he finally said

"Good, I have already taken Lina's permission so you all can depart directly in the carriage. I brought it already got your clothes as Jue wanted it to be a surprise to you two,"

"I was worried if not sudden big brother will reject it," Jue said brushing back of his head, but I was like 'Why would you think that!? This is probably the best you ever did, you brat'

This is probably the best thing Jue did in his life for me at least. We all sat inside the carriage, and as it was about to be departed, a voice came from the window,

"Ryu, here I nearly forget to give it," Grandpa chief said as he give me a small pouch containing enough silver coins to last a few days for the 3 of us.

"Thanks, grandpa chief, I will take care of Jue and Aiena," I said, and Grandpa chief smiled and spoke with a confident voice,

"I knew you would now get going!!" the carriage began moving to pick up speed as we came out of the garden the wind feel good and the sky was turning orange as I moved towards my first dungeon expedition along with Jue and Aiena,
