"Yes, it's a date," he said in a deep, enchanting voice.

"If you'll excuse me, I have a meeting this afternoon."

Jane nodded at him, and Victor made his way into the locker room.

"Oh my God! I got a date!" Jane felt butterflies fluttering in her stomach and shivers running down her spine. "Did that really happen to me?" Her mind was filled with thoughts of him as she walked towards the elevator.

"I need a dress! And who else can I rely on other than my big sister in moments like this?" Jane thought, determination shining in her eyes. "I need to find her!"

"So, in short, you fell in love at first sight, stalked the guy you fell in love with, and that guy asked you out? Not to mention you don't even know his name?!" Bella looked at Jane with a stern face. "I didn't expect this from my innocent little sister," she teased.

"I'm really sorry for spoiling our fun Sunday, but I... umm..." Jane's voice trailed off, embarrassed to admit her desire to go on a date with the man who had taken her breath away.

"You want to go on this date, don't you?" Bella closed her eyes, a knowing smile playing on her lips.

"Yes! So please spare me one of your expensive cute dresses! Pretty please..." Jane pleaded, her eyes shining with anticipation.

"No, that won't do! I came here to spend my holiday with my little sister, and I won't compromise on that. So let's go shopping!" Bella grabbed Jane's hands, her excitement contagious.

Four hours later, they returned to the hotel room. Jane stood before the mirror, adorned in a beautiful pure red skater dress that accentuated her hourglass figure. She wore a heart-shaped gold-coated necklace, the perfect jewelry to complement her outfit.

"Ah! Lovely!" Bella exclaimed, pleased with the transformation.

"Oh, and FYI, I am leaving after this, so you have this room to yourself until tomorrow noon. I guess my job here is done! Ba-bye... enjoy your evening!" Bella swiftly grabbed her purse and stormed out of the door before Jane could even say goodbye.

As soon as Bella left the room, she pulled out her phone and called her assistant. "I need you to run a background check on someone." Bella wanted her little sister to experience all the beautiful moments in life, but she would never compromise on Jane's safety.

...

Jane's POV:

"What does she mean I have this room to myself until noon? Ahh! I'm so nervous! Why did she put such thoughts in my head?!" I kept staring at the bed, my wild imagination taking over. I pictured his sexy body leaning over me in the morning, his lips kissing my neck while unzipping the side zipper of my dress. I forgot to breathe for a second.

Taking deep breaths, I widened my eyes and hugged myself tightly. "That's dangerous for my heart!"

I looked away from the bed, trying to distract myself. Glancing at the wall clock, I saw that it was already five o'clock.

"We decided to meet in the evening, but did he mention the exact time?" I wondered, a tinge of anxiety creeping into my thoughts.

"I think five o'clock is pretty much evening, so it won't hurt me to check out the café!" I reasoned with myself, using it as an excuse. The truth was, I was eager to see him as soon as possible.

As expected, I arrived at the café early. I asked myself, "Does being early put me at a disadvantage in his eyes?"

It was my first time going on a date, and I didn't want any hiccups to spoil the occasion.

Choosing a table with a clear view of the café entrance, I impatiently waited. The minutes dragged on, each one feeling like an eternity, until finally, he stood right in front of me.

He entered through the door wearing a charcoal-black business suit, exuding an air of confidence. That was the second time in a single day that he made my heart skip a beat. A mixture of surprise and joy crossed his face as his eyes found mine.

Hastily, he made his way toward my table. "I'm sorry to keep you waiting. I had intended to wait for you," he apologized, his voice laced with sincerity.

"I can't say that I was impatient to see him," I thought, my cheeks blushing at the mere sight of him.

"I wanted to check out this café. I heard they sell delicious chocolates," I explained, hoping to alleviate any concerns about my punctuality.

"Do you like chocolates?" Victor asked, his previously tense expression softening.

"Yes, I love them!" I confessed with a bright smile, my eyes shining with genuine enthusiasm.

"It's a little early for dinner. Shall we go somewhere else?" Victor extended his hand to me, his eyes filled with warmth and anticipation.

"I'm Victor, by the way. It's a bit late, but I would like to know your name," he said, a trace of curiosity in his voice.

"It's Jane," I replied, placing my hand in his, feeling a comforting connection.

We walked out of the café, our hands intertwined. Victor escorted me to his car, his gentlemanly demeanor shining through.

We drove for twenty minutes, finally parking the car in front of La Bakery. Victor took me to a bakery shop, surprising and delighting me all at once. He escorted me inside, exuding charm and courtesy.

"Welcome!" an aged woman greeted us as we entered the bakery.

"Hello, Aunt Jen. How are you doing?" Victor greeted her warmly, his face lighting up with genuine happiness.

"Look who decided to finally show up!" Aunt Jen replied with a hint of cynicism, before her gaze landed on me. Her voice softened, and she said, "And who is this beautiful young lady beside you?"

"Aunt Jen, this is Jane. Jane, this is my Aunt Jennifer. She's the owner of this bakery," Victor introduced us, a proud smile adorning his face.

"It's nice to meet you, Jane," Aunt Jen greeted me humbly, placing a gentle peck on my right cheek. I felt a warmth spread through my heart.

"I knew you would like her. That's why I brought her here. She loves chocolates too," Victor announced, his right hand resting on my waist as he pulled me closer.

"Ahh, I love people who love chocolates," Aunt Jen said, leading us to the kitchen's door.

"Come with me, darling."

We entered the empty kitchen, the lingering aroma of freshly baked goods filling the air. Aunt Jen, with a warm smile on her face, handed each of us an apron and a chocolate cake recipe.

"Why don't you young people have some fun working together here?" Aunt Jen suggested, her voice brimming with kindness. "I'll give you some privacy. Good luck!"

Aunt Jen stepped aside, leaving Victor and me to embark on our baking adventure. The silence of the closed café created an intimate atmosphere, as if we were the only two people in the world.

"Want to give it a go?" Victor asked, removing his coat and placing it on the corner of the long counter.

I handed him one apron and put on the other, and together we began gathering all the necessary ingredients on the kitchen counter.

"What do you like besides chocolates?" Victor asked, starting a casual conversation as he helped me with the flour.

"Well... I enjoy my current job. I'm interning in digital marketing at Zen Tech. If I perform well, I might receive a job offer from them. I really like the company, and the work environment is great. I hope to continue working there."

"I also love my sister. She's my role model, constantly inspiring and motivating me. I want to be successful like her one day," I added, my gaze shifting toward the cake batter as we mixed it.

I noticed that the batter was ready, and I looked up at Victor. To my surprise, he had a distant look in his eyes. "Did I talk too much? Did I make him uncomfortable?" I worried silently.

"Did I bore you?" I asked, tilting my head slightly in his direction.

"Nah, it's just... I'm a little jealous that you have such a close relationship with your sister," he admitted, his voice tinged with a mix of wistfulness and admiration.

I giggled, trying to lighten the mood. "Well, that's a given! After all, she's my only family,"

Victor turned his face away from the oven and looked at me curiously.

Just as I was about to inquire further, the oven timer chimed, interrupting our conversation.

"The base is ready. Let's finish the decoration. We have a dinner reservation," Victor said, diverting the conversation elsewhere.

I didn't want to press him about that incomplete conversation, but it was clear that there were layers to him, a depth that I wanted to explore.

Together, we finished decorating the cake, Victor slicing a piece and feeding it to me. The sweetness of the moment lingered in the air as we shared smiles and laughter.

I could sense the affection in his eyes, and in that moment, I made a decision to go with the flow, to allow myself to be swept away by this newfound connection.

He scoffed.

"Did he just laugh at me?" I flinched, feeling self-conscious.

"You have cream on your face," he teased, a mischievous glint in his eyes.

I attempted to wipe it away, but he continued to smile at me like a playful child.

"Let me help you," he said, his touch gentle as he wiped the cream from my cheek. His hand lingered for a moment longer than necessary, and I felt a warmth spreading through my cheeks.

The atmosphere between us grew intimate in an instant. His body drew nearer to mine, his left hand resting lightly on my waist. I couldn't help but tremble with anticipation. His right hand moved from my cheek, delicately brushing against my neck. Dizziness swept over me as he leaned closer, and I closed my eyes, too shy to meet his gaze.

My thoughts raced, colliding with one another:

"A kiss? Is he going to kiss me?"

"What should I do?"

"It's my first kiss!"

"I'm ready, so kiss me like you want me desperately."
