“Wh-what?” The royal swordswoman’s voice quivered in pure nervousness for the first time.

She could feel his fresh breath and warmth. Their face was only inches apart. She was a head taller than most girls, yet, she was still one or two inches shorter.

She wished to hack him into pieces and if he survived, chase after him until he fell dead. The peculiarity of the event filled her with both surprise and nervousness. Never had she imagined him to stop her and even succeeded at that.

His hand held a rock-like grip on her, which she failed to budge.

Never had a man cornered like this.

Not willing to show any weakness, she acted tough. “What do you want to do?”

A natural smirk formed on his face as the chaotic being asked back, “What do you think?”

With his words, the nervous swordswoman found a familiar feeling returning. It was the same feeling of being eyed by a predator, which she forgot for a long time. There was no doubt of it since she felt it twice before.

Though this time, it was weak, and rather than looking at her like an insignificant prey, those eyes looked at her in amusement.

The royal swordswoman was almost shocked out of her mind in realization. The owner of those predating gaze was this man before her. But how could that be? She was sure it was that weird silver pup.

She gulped. Trying hard to suppress her vulnerability. ‘Wait, he has slightly silver hair too, just slightly darkish-...!’ Qian Qian thought, just when she was about to reach a conclusion, she noticed the rogue wolf’s eyes trailed from her eyes to her nose, then her lips, and focused there.

‘...! He wouldn’t dare!’ she thought confidently, but noticing the hand still pressing on her chest, she lost the little courage she recovered. “W-what do you want to do?” she could only mutter in a mosquito voice, not realizing that she just repeated the same question seconds ago.

“Exactly what you’re thinking.” Tian Lang was finding a chance to let her go. Her sword looked really dangerous so he grabbed it without any choice, not expecting to get in this awkward situation.

Didn’t he look like he was bullying a girl?

Which was totally not the case! It was this girl who was bullying him.

Now that he was in position, Tian Lang couldn’t help but want to bully her. That being said, with the harmless rabbit present, he couldn’t bring himself to commit such a heinous crime.

For that very reason, he licked the ferocious royal swordswoman’s nose and jumped back. Not forgetting to get another fill of her ample chest!

“Bastard!”

Pa pa pa...

Just then, a group of Red-eyed Crows flapped their wings and swept across the air.

Tian Lang instantly ducked and shouted at them, “Follow me!”

For what it mattered, the mastermind behind this was already onto them. Sitting and taking a detour would only give the other party a bigger chance to prepare.

Yue Yu nudged the frozen Qian Qian and said in helplessness, “I feel your loss.”

“What?”

“It must’ve been your first. I know, it is precious to everyone.”

“No, you’re misunderstanding!” the royal swordswoman justified.

However, Yue Yu gave her a knowing look which said: I understand, nobody would want to speak of it freely. It’s your loss for choosing wrongly.

After all, from her position, when Tian Lang playfully licked the royal swordswoman’s nose tip, it looked like a peck on her lips. Coupled with her frozen state, everything seems to fall into place.

“Big sis Yu, even you’re bullying me!”

...

In a mountain gorge that was filled with a fast-flowing stream, countless Iron-clawed Cliff Eagles let loose chaotic cries, flying in all directions.

After a while, they flew back and circled a few rounds in the sky. Some of them landed on branches to search for something but unable to find anything, they eventually flew in another direction.

After a few hours of hustle and bustle, the trio finally reached the Eagle’s Cry Valley. With the royal swordswoman taking the lead, the rest followed behind.

Originally, it was Tian Lang guiding them through the shortest path, but since the royal swordswoman’s try to poke his bum, he dared not lead them.

With the royal swordswoman in the front, he ‘protected’ the weak Yue Yu at the back. Out of the three, she had the lowest stamina. To not get caught by the crows, Tian Lang helped her move faster.

Now they were moving through a rocky crack, once they get out of here, they will find the enemy headquarters.

“Sis Yu, you don’t believe that I’m a pervert and a rogue, do you?”

Feeling slightly uncomfortable at that straight-forward question, Yue Yu wanted to lie but the chaotic being’s deep trust in her caused her to give a rather vague answer, “I... don’t know.”

Feeling the deep doubt in her voice, Tian Lang couldn’t help but cry out. “How can that be possible? I don’t even know what pervert means. Can you tell me what makes me a pervert?”

“That...” Yue Yu hesitated to say anything. Then again, what caused her to label him as a pervert? Right, kissing someone abruptly is no good. Then again, did that make him a pervert?

“Sis Yu, do I look like a pervert?”

Yue Yu looked at Tian Lang. He had a barely expressive handsome face similar to the villains portrayed in books. Messy dark silver hair that revealed his wildness and the body of a warrior that would attract anyone. Overall he looked like someone who would rape women in their sleep and not spare kids of their sweets. At the same time, his occasional innocence made others less likely to doubt him. Unknowingly, Yue Yu shook her head as she inwardly added, ‘You look more like a born swindler, of the greatest kind...’

Before Tian Lang could feel happy, his head bumped on the royal swordswoman, who made a hushing sound and pointed forward. The trio poked their heads out of the tiny crack, which was only large enough for one person to pass.

A distance away from them, a green wyvern with a protruding head appeared, carrying a black-robed man on its back as it spiraled down to the ground.

The trio hurriedly hid within the crack, watching the movements of that black-robed man quietly. They only saw him taking out a black skull before he started muttering some chants... A dense, black fog was emitted from the skull, and eventually, it condensed into black balls. The black-robed man then threw these black fog balls onto the ground. The black fog dispersed, and with a crackling sound, oddly-shaped skeletons were summoned one after another.

A few of those skeletons still had some items that they possessed when they were living, for example, a tattered pair of gloves, a silver chain drenched full of black blood, a rusted longsword...

The face of the royal swordswoman immediately sunk at the sight of this.

Tian Lang could not understand what was going on, but the girls did. They understood the situation perfectly. They had found their target.

These skeletons were the people they had been looking for, the royal scouting party. However, all of them had died and they had even been turned into skeletons by the black-robed man through the terrifying Dead Soul Summoning Technique. It turned out that the person who destroyed the entire royal scouting party and controlled the crows was this necromancer.

However, necromancers only exist in the demonic abyss. How did one appear in the Soaring Dragon Continent?

How long had this black-robed necromancer hid himself in the Eagle’s Cry Valley in Dead Stone Mountains for? What was his purpose?

“My undead servants, move out. Find where those two living people are hiding...” While chanting, the black-robed man’s hands, which were as thin as if they were only skeletons, summoned balls of green light and projected them into the few dozen skeletons.

These skeletons changed form under the green fluorescent light, changing in color and increasing in size, becoming gigantic. Within ten seconds, they had turned from Level 1 Shriveled Skeletons into Level 2 Bony Skeletons.

Among those skeletons, there was one who had absorbed multiple balls of green light. It was strengthened and evolved even further to become a Level 3 Iron-boned Skeleton.

This Iron-boned Skeleton even grew bone blades that were made of iron on both of its arms.

Tian Lang frowned looking at the skeletons. He had learned about them. These skeletons had a special ability. As long as there were living things nearby, these skeletons would be able to sense them. Hiding in a crack was useless. Thankfully, the sensing range of the skeletons was limited to around 20-30 meters. Not only that, a stream separated the two of them from the necromancer. If not, they would have been found by these skeletons immediately.

The royal swordswoman tapped on Tian Lang’s back. Pointing at him, she circled the area around the black-robed man with her index finger, signaling him to prepare a surprise attack.

With the distance, it was slightly difficult to perform a sneak attack, and the success rate was not high. But, they still had to give it a shot. Otherwise, if this black-robed man riding a Poison Wyvern rose up to the sky, they would have no way of catching him again.

The royal swordswoman estimated that this black-robed necromancer probably had the strength of a Level 6 [Elder]. There would be a high chance to kill him off if their surprise attack succeeded. The only problem was that this guy was also extremely cautious. The place where the wyvern landed was a stone that jutted out. As long as the wyvern jumped, he would easily be able to escape into the sky.

Once that happened, she and the big wolf pervert could only watch with folded arms with regard to an aerial battle. Yue Yu could only offer support.

“Shh,” but Tian Lang hushed and caught hold of the royal swordswoman’s hand. When she was about to struggle free, he signaled her to keep quiet and not move at all, no matter what happened.

“…” The royal swordswoman glared at him but eventually listened to what he said, not daring to take any sudden actions.

She wanted to take her hand back, but Tian Lang suddenly let her go and grab hold of her and Yue Yu’s mouth. Causing the former to rage violently. She gave her an inch and now he was asking for a yard. No way in hell would she let him take advantage of her.

The royal swordswoman wanted to kick him into the stream. However, the black-robed man was still present. If he was kicked into the stream, they would lose their chance to mount a surprise attack. She could only drop this idea. She had originally wanted to punch him, but a moment later, she had completely forgotten about this. She grabbed Tian Lang’s chest nervously, pushing him upward. Yue Yu’s great mounds unconsciously squeezed on him, trying to press his body down to go lower and lower to the ground.

With Yue Yu above him, and Qian Qian, the royal swordswoman below, he found the situation not bad at all!

Wait, that sounded wrong in this tense situation.

This was because, looking in the same direction as Tian Lang pointed, the girls noticed that on top of the steep cliff rock, a terrifying life form was standing absolutely still, having appeared out of nowhere.

It did not move at all, and its breathing was completely hidden. It was stuck on the cliff wall as if it was a rock.

Its target was the black-robed man below and the Poison Wyvern he was riding on. However, even the alert black-robed man and the Poison Wyvern was completely unable to sense the presence of this terrifying life form...

When the Poison Wyvern flapped its giant wings and started to ascend slowly with the black-robed man, that terrifying life form suddenly moved as if it was lightning. Moving its two huge arms that were like sickles as if they were black lightning, it severed the space and took the giant Poison Wyvern captive with its arms. The Bronze-rank Level 6 Poison Wyvern could not even struggle. It could only whine repeatedly.

That terrifying life form immediately opened its mouth full of razor-sharp teeth and ate the head of the Poison Wyvern alive. It did not kill its prey beforehand but rather ate them alive.

The screeches of the Poison Wyvern resounded throughout the entire valley.

The entire valley was deathly still. All the creatures were so scared that they did not even know where to hide.

When the terrifying life form was eating the Poison Wyvern alive, the black-robed man was struggling. His body was also clamped down by the giant arms of this creature, so tightly that he could not struggle free at all. Seeing that the little worm had actually dared to struggle, the terrifying life-form instantly bent its head forward to bite the black-robed man’s head off... The black-robed man’s actions were extremely quick and instantly took out a teleportation ball, smashing it with his blackened bony hand.

The teleportation pillar shone within a second.

However, the instant before he disappeared during his teleportation, the terrifying life form angrily raised one of its sickle arms and cut them down towards the black-robed man...

Pa!

The lower half of the black-robed man who was still teleporting was immediately severed in the teleportation space. The teleportation pillar was also shattered, and half of his body fell onto the ground with a thump.

If not for escaping fast enough, this black robed man with the strength of a Level 6 [Elder] would have been instantly killed.
