Though I didn't go to Switzerland yet, I still have some places I need to check.
That's why I am in Japan, staying in a high-class love hotel. Why a love hotel? Because for some odd reason, a high-end love hotel is always better than a 5 stars hotel here.
A queen-sized bed, soft and comfortable. Air conditioner, a variety of non-descript lotions, incents, all of the things needed to get into the mood.
"Charlotte! I'm back!!", Mitsuki opened the door with excitement.
"Welcome back.", I greeted her.
"Welcome back.", Hoa also greeted her from the balcony, still dressed in her black robe.
"Come on, guys!! I bought some snacks!!", she was carrying a tray full of fried foods, pickled vegetables, and dipping sauce.
She placed it on the table as I got up and Hoa went inside. Hmm? The Regent gave me a strange look.
"You... I've been wondering about this for a while.", she spoke as she sat down.
Mitsuki look confused, looking at me and her for a bit.
"What's wrong with Charlotte?", she asked.
"What did you do to your body?", Hoa asked me with a frown.
She tried to grab my hand, but I pulled my hand away. This might be fun.
"What are you trying to do?", I tilt my head with a smile.
"Checking what happened to you, you can't deceive a being of pure energy with that ignorant act.", she clicked her tongue, persistently trying to get a hold of me.
But really, what's wrong with me? I am perfect—
Huh, she used a bit of her true power and grabbed my hand. I quickly yanked it away, but that moment of touch was enough for a diagnosis.
"You are perfect.", she spoke with a frown, "Too perfect."
"What do you mean by that?", Mitsuki joined in.
"I mean what I said, her body is a perfect human. There is no abnormality, biologically speaking.", she explained, "Normally, this is a completely impossible thing to do and achieve by a mortal. Unless..."
"Unless what?", the blue-haired girl leaned in.
"Unless she deconstructs her entire existence and reconstructs it with the power of a powerful Eldritch God of Exchange, The Numeral Equal or... The Golden Order."
Huh, she caught me.
"Charlotte, when you went out last time, did you do something crazy?", Mitsuki looked at me.
"I just made myself a better version of myself, good blood circulation, no blemish, beautiful eyes, silky as fuck hair.", then I rolled up my left sleeve, "The scars are gone too."
"A monarch can't be imperfect, after all.", I took a skewer and took a piece of imitation crab along with some pickled cabbage.
Still, not my preference but it's good.
When I began to eat, signaling a moment of silence. Usually, we would chat here and there, but they couldn't due to me being the host. Mitsuki seems happy with this arrangement, she is always in her own world.
While Hoa... she prayed before eating, she doesn't need to eat that much, just throw her a battery and she'll be fine.
After finishing our dinner snack, I clapped my hands.
"I'll lay out the plan for this adventure.", I stated with a smile, "Hoa, where are we right now?"
"Kyoto?", she frowned a bit.
"Yes, and what is the most famous thing about Kyoto?", I asked her again.
"Hmm, the sheer amount of shrines it has.", Hoa crossed her arms.
"Yes, but it is also famous for its Yokais."
Then Mitsuki interjected, raising her hand, "Actually, Izumo is more famous with its Yokais!!"
It's one of the Gates to Hell, after all.
"Well, that's beside the point.", I brushed it off, "We are going to stir some trouble."
For Japan, a conservative country... while things are relatively normal, many officials were stripped of their titles and rank due to Argent Alexandria, but what I want isn't relative normality.
In this world fueled by an endless cycle of conflict, for humanity to grow, a hostile environment is needed.
"Mitsuki, Hoa, we are summoning the Parade of the One Hundred Demons.", I bloomed a sinister grin.
"No!!", Mitsuki immediately objects, "We are not summoning it!"
Huh, she usually agrees with me. Why now?
"That would cause a calamity, even for just one night!!", she strongly opposes my plan.
Hoa sighed, speaking slowly, "Mitsuki, look at her real closely. Think long and hard about what she was doing all this time."
Hmm, fucking up places for my own enjoyment and maybe for a grander cause, everywhere I go something messed up happens due to my actions, I always face everything with a smile and confidence. Though I avoid hurting people to the best of my ability... that's a lie, if I want to, nobody can get hurt, and my desire takes priority.
"Oh...", Mitsuki had understood what Hoa was getting at.
"Don't worry, all I want is a complete collapse of the people's trust in the government.", after all, when the seal to a calamity is open, where will the people turn to?
"That doesn't sound good at all!!", she pouts.
"So are you onboard or not?", I crossed my arms.
"Yes... I want to see The Parade at least once.", curiosity, ever the boon and curse of humanity.
I took out my phone for added effect.
"Utopia, tell Enna to start it.", I commanded with a smile.
Kyoto will start to fall into chaos.
=0=0=
Kyōtango, Kyoto, Japan
In front of an old shrine covered in moss was Enna, holding her crimson sword tightly.
"I got it.", her hazy golden eyes stare down at the small shrine.
She remembers the short time she was free from Charlotte, going around Rome and enjoying her life. She even got a part-time job at a bakery, handling hundreds of orders every day. It was fun, to live a mundane existence far from the Monarch. But at the same time, that mundane life was dull for Enna.
Charlotte was interesting, everywhere she went things got exciting. For a Fallen Angel who was stuck in Hell for a long time, even if she has to suffer humiliation time and time again.
Being with Charlotte was fun, without her things just get boring quickly.
That is why Enna follows the Argent Monarch of Humanity, even without the Contract binding them together.
And the fact that Charlotte is the type of person who will stop at nothing to get what she wants.
"Judgement.", her sword burned a golden fire, and she shattered the shrine with one strike.
The Parade of the One Hundred Demons is about to begin.
