Absolute chaos, that was what unfolded before my eyes. People on the street running away from the incoming monsters who revel in the anarchy of the situation.
Well, I want controlled chaos, after all.
I grabbed a Kappa, or in the Hunter's Association's International Dictionary, a water goblin. Japanese were absolutely livid when they found out one of their monsters was labeled as a subspecies of something so common.
I looked back at the fleeing people, then I crushed the head of the water goblin without much thought.
"Utopia, had everyone evacuated?", I asked.
"[Yes, Your Majesty.]", he replied through my phone.
"And how is our big friend?", I smiled as I walked behind the parade.
"[The Giant of Light had yet to show up, but according to past records, they are certainly heading here.]", he spoke with certainty.
"And what if they don't show up?", I mused a little.
"[That will never happen, Your Majesty.]", he was firm.
And to back up his claim... I sensed a powerful presence. These things happen way too often.
I zapped all the way to the top of a building, sitting on the edge to see the show.
Hmm, I am quite disappointed. Seeing one lone man standing in the path of the parade—
What the fuck?
He was suddenly enveloped in a bright flash of light, so bright I had to cover my eyes... and when I let my hand go, I saw it.
A Giant of Light.
The light fades a bit, revealing a figure with metallic silver skin, two triangular green stripes going from both sides of his waist down to his ankle, and a green collar. His head was a blaring silver flame, but unlike Lughz Dustur, he had two glowing golden eyes.
He was over twenty meters tall, standing proud.
"In the name of Righteousness and The Plague Garden, I request you all to stand down!!", he declared.
The parade roared, cursing him for interrupting a joyous time. Quickly, the giant skeleton crawled to the front, clattering its teeth, and lunged at the Giant of Light.
With a grunt, he delivered a karate chop— splitting the skeleton cleanly in half.
"I do not wish to use force.", the giant spoke, staring at the parade, "But if I have to, I shall destroy all who threaten peace!!"
The parade roared again, coming after him like a wave. They are all powerful monsters, each capable of destroying a city or at least a village. But against a Herald of The Plague Garden...
He just beat them up with pure martial arts, landing just enough power to knock them out with one hit, no more no less. An amazing show of control.
Eventually, after merely ten minutes...
Only the Nuraihyon was left standing.
"You are quite the foreigner, aren't you?", it smirked.
The Giant of Light stares at the Yokai, "Although my purpose was to end a specific target, I cannot turn a blind eye to such a disruption."
I watch their conversation, half tuned out. Because I was fascinated by the Giant of Light. Every word he spoke, every action he took, there was no malice in them.
Hehahahahaha!!
He tries to reduce as much collateral damage as possible and tries to persuade with words instead of might.
"You are such an unusual specimen...", I reached out to that light with a wide grin, "How can there be someone so powerful, yet so virtuous?"
Power does not corrupt, it reveals.
I summon my lance, with electricity sparking around me. I took a step forward— and stabbed the Nuraihyon in the back with Quirinus.
The red spikes grew, tasting the blood of the Yokai. I twisted the lance, breaking off the thorns, and pulled out.
"Y-You—!!!", it stared back at me.
I just ignore it, walking toward the Giant of Light.
"You are... Charlotte Silvi.", he was cautious of me.
"Yes, I am.", I smiled, stabbing my lance into the ground, "Welcome to Earth, Giant of Light."
"What is your purpose here?", he asked me.
"To light the past ablaze, to burn away culture, and burry the lessons in ash. I am Charlotte Silvi, the Argent Monarch of Humanity.", I performed a curt bow, "My goal is to establish the next era. And what is yours?"
He began to speak, still cautious of me, "My name is Reilin, a Giant of Light, Champion of Righteousness and the Plague Garden. I was sent here to take care of a problem requested by your Light."
I narrowed my eyes, "What problem?"
"I was called to subdue something called the Primate of Emptiness.", he stated.
The Primate of Emptiness, Sun Wukong... Hmm? His glow became a bit dimmer...
"That thing is in Asia proper, try finding an armored monkey.", I stare around, looking at the devastation, "Well, excuse me, I need to do something about this. Could you move out of the—"
A truck was coming for me from behind, roaring and driving uncontrollably— there was no drive?
Quickly picking up my lance, letting the wind and fire swirl together, I turned around and blasted a storm of destruction.
But it didn't hit the truck, rather, a portal opened and the truck went inside.
"Why is The Stellar Gateway here...?", I heard Reilin mumbling.
The Stellar Gateway? An Eldritch God? But there was no dread...
"[Ahkar Karbiwa The Stellar Gateway, an Eldritch God of Destiny and Salvation, known for hitting people in the form of locomotives and sending them to another planet.]", Utopia explained.
So that thing tried to send me to another world?
I clicked my tongue, it had ruined my good mood... but I couldn't change my schedule for such an insignificant problem.
"Reilin, you are a foreigner to the affairs of this world.", I addressed him, "Go to China or India and fulfill your mission."
He just kept staring at me, suspicious of me. But there is nothing he can do against me, I am someone important. Even under the cover of night, where the full moon shines brightly, illuminating the world below.
They see everything.
With a grunt, he flew away at the speed of light toward the sky.
He didn't want to be near me, because as much as I can sense the goodness in his being, he too can feel how much malice I hold in my heart. We are opposites, beings who cannot stand each other, incompatible. We cannot be in the same space for long... I want to murder him.
Now, how about streaming for a bit?
Oh shiii truck-kun is a eldritch god
