New Delhi was as packed and cram as I expected it to be. But this isn't the full population, as many, especially the poor, were conscripted to march toward China.
Still, the bigotry was strong.
Snap!
I destroyed the spine of a man trying to touch me, broke the arm of someone who tried to grope me, and destroyed the throat of someone who tried to slander me. The reason? Because I am a woman.
This is actually the first time I was called out because of my gender, which is pretty wild. As if the only ones who see me as human are fanatical misogynists, that must only be me, right?
The authorities know me, so the police looking from afar seem pretty conflicted. I could definitely be charged with excessive force. But how would they try and arrest me?
I am living as myself, without the mask of the naive girl who only observes, or the confident Hunter who always knows what to do. I am Charlotte Silvi, I am violent and only deal in absolutes. But in the end, I am still human.
So, why am I here in New Delhi instead of going to Vietnam? The reason is quite simple, I want to witness the fall of a country with my own eyes.
The CIA had successfully entered the government of India. With everything going to shit, they wanted to collapse India's ruling system and hope to destroy Pakistan too.
So that they can take over the two countries and make them sovereign states.
Also, the Akashic Insurgency is in this plot. They wanted to obtain a quarter of the Relics and Artefacts of India.
I am a few blocks away from the Secretariat Building. With so many people jammed together... it is hard to get to or witness the fall in real time.
Justice Mist gathered on my back, forming a pair of wings made of weapons.
It really is a leisure~
I flapped my wings, landing on top of a house before jumping and flying toward the government building.
People below watch me in awe, I gave them a wave and a smile.
While floating in mid-air, I expanded my World Calculation. Yes... the building is effectively taken over by the CIA and Akashic Insurgency.
There is a reason why they were able to successfully infiltrate the Ship of Light, Vimana. Though it can't compare to having an indestructible automaton and being sniped by Hoa. That was underwhelming to say the least...
And...
Boom!!
The entire building collapsed, sending people into a wild panic, trampling on top of each other to escape.
Dear ignorant fools of this nation... I will bless you today, and grant you... Salvation.
I summoned Fallen Starlight with me, aiming it at the sky. I let Hope's Dew fill the chamber.
"In the Name of Humanity."
"By the Rite of Steel and Gunpowder..."
"I shall grant all Salvation."
I pulled the trigger, letting it all rain down upon the civilians. All of them, with no exception, dropped down in pain even as their body healed by the golden rain of salvation.
Hope is the worst power of all, because they will experience the price of salvation, of hope. I just power through because I can't feel physical pain to a certain extent, and my mental strength is top tier.
These people under me... they can't do anything.
Oh, so people came from other parts of the city to observe the situation. I rest myself on top of a building, watching through my calculations as the agents open up portals underground and escape.
Then, around me, several explosions went off, destroying historical buildings and key facilities.
Ah, as always, war is messy. The military can't rush back after making it far into former China's territory. Marshal law can't be enacted, and a state of emergency can't be declared because the facilities are down.
Well, I hope the U.S. can handle what's coming next.
As I have access to the full extent of the Library, I know what's about to hit the U.S., not really a pretty sight. Canada is planning to invade the U.S.
Military strength-wise, Canada is inferior, but in individual strength and special operatives, it is only inferior to Germany.
It has a special unit that specialize in inventing war crimes and researching loopholes in the Geneva Code. It is this very country that invented the Geneva Convention, after all. While actively tap-dancing on it, creating the Geneva Suggestion.
Oh, and they have sufficient means to take Seria out of the equation.
Seeing the chaos I've caused, I wonder how many people will die for future generations? Isn't the duty of the old to sacrifice for the young? To those who have such wishful thoughts, this is your chance to sacrifice yourself.
But I know you can't do it. Life is priceless, after all, that is why it can be used to pay for anything.
"Do you like it?", a voice came from behind me.
I glanced back, confirming her existence. It's just Sinclair.
"What do you want, now?", I frowned as soon as I saw her.
"Hehe~ what do I want? Why can't I just hang out with my younger self~?", she leaned onto me.
"So, I have been wondering for a while now. How did you become... this thing?", I narrowed my eyes.
A Paradox, something that conflicts with reality itself... what is she, exactly?
"Well, unlike you, who chose to be a human, I chose to be something... more.", she smiled, her lightless eyes turned sinister, "So, I got rid of Regression, changed Salvation into Corruption. My Attributes became Corruption and Judgement. Dilly dally with some more places, consume the flesh and essence of three beings related to the Scions."
Changing her Attributes... wait...
"How is that possible?", I frowned.
She smiled teasingly, "There is a planet where all Templates of Life are present, under the Light of The Starlight Reflect. Only there can you change your Attributes through a series of trials."
"But that isn't all~!! To be a Paradox, you must do some other things. But that's too complicated for such a conversation while watching the downfall of a country.", she casually motioned to the smoking buildings.
Pakistan would make a move sooner or later, and the Middle Eastern countries would join in the fray.
For what? For resources, of course. With the economic crisis, everyone is scrambling for the riches of China. Since it isn't their country, they will likely ransack everything they find.
"Charlotte, how about becoming a Jury of the Pale Court?", she suddenly suggested.
"No. I won't be in the service of a God, not even the one overseeing my world", that isn't my thing.
"You know, you could still get a different Contract, right? Similar to the Dreamer, besides providing you with a ticket to The Stellar Express, you are basically free to do whatever you want!!"
But I still have to work for them...
"Just think about it~!", Sinclair turned around, walking behind me, "I'll have a go at Cyrus, see if I can defeat him."
"Cyrus the Great?", I narrowed my eyes, still looking at her.
"Yep!! He's stronger than you would think. If he got serious, he would be a Souls boss that is pretty much impossible to win against.", she leaned on me again, her arms wrapped around my neck.
"Hehe... if I have to compare him to someone... do you remember Elderstahl?"
I felt a burning chill down my spine... PTSD is a bitch...
"I can't forget her even if I wanted to.", I muttered.
Where is she even now? I really don't want to find out... and... Cyrus is actually that strong, huh. I will need to be careful the next time I encounter him.
"He can destroy a star if he so wishes, but that would leave him in a heavily damaged state...", she let out a depricating laugh...
A massive battle unfolded somewhere in China recently, a mountain rapidly formed and was sliced apart in an instant. If he can do that... it is no wonder he can go against that Lord of Annihilation.
Also... This is the danger a Lord of Annihilation possesses...
"Corruption is one of the most useful Attributes to have. If The Starlight Droplet really wanted to, they could take control of Earth and crash it into Venus.", she giggled, "Or they could take over Jupiter and unleash the storms of the gas giant."
"...", I still have the doomsday key from the Avenger Saint. I should find an opportunity to give it back.
Just as I was thinking about what to do, Sinclair groped my chest— I tried to hit her in the stomach with my elbow, but she was faster, letting me go just as I was about to hit her.
"Very well, now please enjoy the show!!", Sinclair vanished with a snap of her finger.
But at the same time... a symbol of the Flower of Life bloomed on top of the Secretariat Building, then a massive arm of rotten flesh pressed down, crushing everything before turning into a crystal of black crystal...
SkinClare just do what she does best, taking care of her younger self skin.
