Hi diary,

Everything is hectic in the manor, the boss has been confirmed missing, they are preparing a rescue team. Word says that they were in contact with other families to send more reinforcements if needed, but the boss's son declined the help saying we have enough mercenaries to carry a rescue mission, in reality we are running low on trained people to go outside. They are sending two workers from my cleaning team outside as porters, I guess I'll be having more work to do for the next few weeks... It's been awful already, I used to work 10 hours a day, nowadays I'm lucky if I work only 12 hours... but I guess it's better than starving in the slums... or worse...

I think I’ll be sadly keeping this diary for a bit longer, I heard Tay is going outside in the rescue mission as well… he is leaving tomorrow but I can’t get the hang of him to wish him good luck.

Tay, please come back safe, I need you.

I can’t stop my mind from going somewhere dark, the possibility of him not coming back is breaking me apart, for some reason he is the only reason this cage seems bearable.

But everything should be fine, they are sending plenty of veterans, I heard he is going to be working as a porter, it’s generally safe.

Please don’t make fun of me when you read this entry! I was just worried for nothing!
