When the Shrek Seven Tyrants landed on a small island just before the Sea Ghost Sacred Pillar, they saw the ominous fog sitting still over the platform. Seven pairs of eyebrows furrowed.

"Another domain?" Bai Shanxin asked incredulously.

Ru Shenqi shook her head. "I don't think so. I think it's a spirit skill. Be careful, Shanxin. Use your skull bone going in."

Bai Shanxin nodded in agreement. "Alright."

Her Emerald Demon Bird skull bone emerged as Emerald Demon Devour began. Her wings shot out, and she flew into the fog. As she drew the spirit power from the Sea Ghost Douluo, her surroundings began to fade.

What's going on? she thought.

Just then, she was back in the Tang Sect. She watched as her older siblings, Bai Shanli and Bai Shanmin, attacked her. Realizing this was a memory, she could only watch as she was beat up. Tears flowed from the younger Bai Shanxin's eyes. After her older siblings had left, Bai He appeared.

"Grow stronger and defeat them. You know, Sect Leader has suggested sending you to Suotuo Primary Academy instead of keeping you here for the Four Halls Academy."

A seven year old Bai Shanxin looked up with watery eyes. She hadn't yet gotten a spirit ring, but Bai Shanli had one and Bai Shanmin had two already! Perhaps Suotuo Primary Academy wouldn't be that bad after all. She nodded.

"Shanxin wants to go."

The scenery changed again, and she was at Suotuo Primary Academy, graduating with a twelve year old Liao Suyin and twelve year old Shu Jiaxiang. A bright smile spread across her face. She was a nineteenth ranked Spirit Master, on her way to being able to stand up to her siblings. Pride and happiness swelled in her heart.

That was one of the happiest days of my life. From there, we went to Shrek Academy and met Yong and Youyou.

The next scene turned to the Shrek Seven Tyrants' Ranking Round battle against the Four Halls Academy. She had just defeated Bai Shanmin, and her friends swarmed her. Happiness swelled within her.

Then, she was back at the Tang Sect for the first time in eight years. With Ru Shenqi cheering her on, she finally challenged her two older siblings and fought for supremacy among the three. When she had finally won at the end, that was the greatest feeling.

Now, I wonder that Shanli and Shanmin are at. I can't believe I'm an eightieth ranked Spirit Douluo at twenty three. Us Tyrants really were lucky.

Back on the island, Ru Shenqi's eyes narrowed as she released her spirit. Shu Jiaxiang and the others' eyebrows furrowed.

She asked, "Xiao Shen, what is it?"

Ru Shenqi replied, "Something's not right with that fog. Shanxin should've drained Sea Ghost Douluo by now. Things are taking too long."

Liao Suyin murmured, "I wonder what she's going through?"

Xiao Bai offered, "Sea Ghost Douluo's sixth spirit skill creates a hallucination. The longer one's in it, the more likely they are to die."

Ru Shenqi's eyes suddenly flashed, turning silver-white. She released her eighth spirit skill, allowing everyone present to see into the fog. Using her directed communication, she spoke to Shanxin, waking her up.

Shanxin, this is all a hallucination. The fog is controlling what you see. Launch your seventh spirit skill and then your fifth spirit skill!

Hearing Ru Shenqi's voice, Bai Shanxin nodded. "Seventh spirit skill, Needle-Tailed Swift Spirit Avatar!"

When she shrunk into a tiny bird, her fifth spirit ring lit up around her. "Fifth spirit skill, Swift Cry!"

An ear-piercing screech echoed from her beak. The Sea Ghost Douluo clutched at his ears as the fog suddenly dissipated. Free of the trap, Bai Shanxin smirked.

"Eighth spirit skill, Swift Winds!"

Even Sword Douluo Chen Xin had been temporarily stopped by her tornado. Though the Sea Ghost Douluo was an Ocean Spirit Master, his spirit power was still lower than that of Chen Xin. He wasn't able to dodge the moving winds and got swept up into it. His short light brown hair that was usually grown over his eyes was now whipping all around his face. He raised his arms, and she saw the two crescent shaped tattoos on both his arms.

When her spirit skill was finishing, she suddenly pulled out the Godly Zhuge Crossbow from a magical storage bracelet. She aimed it at him.

"Senior, please forgive my rudeness."

She pulled the trigger on the hidden weapon. Forty eight arrows shot out, flying straight towards the Douluo. He used his spirit, Devil Ray, to block the attack, and since the crossbow couldn't hurt any spirit masters over the sixtieth rank (after Tai Tan's improvements), he easily stopped the arrows.

Bai Shanxin shot forward at full speed, still in her Spirit Avatar form. She threw out two Cluster Soul Chasing Balls. They rubbed against each other, and the friction activated them. With an explosive burst of purple fog, poisoned needles shot by the Sea Ghost Douluo's face. One needle grazed his left arm, and the poison absorbed. He clutched at the wound site as the fog diffused.

She returned to her normal human size and landed on the platform before him, bowing. "Senior, you've been poisoned. With your strength though, if you expel it now, you won't come to harm."

He sat down and did so. When the poison was gone, he stood.

"Did those come from the Lord Sea God?"

She nodded. "Sect Leader specializes in hidden weapons, as you may know. Before we left Heaven Dou City, he gave some to use in case we ran into trouble."

Sea Ghost Douluo sighed. "It's not against the rules. Alright, you've passed."

He waved his hand and the his pillar lit up with bright white light. A black screen of light appeared around Bai Shanxin as the majestic voice echoed, "Bai Shanxin. Fifth Trial, Challenge Douluo, completed. Black Level Six Test Award: superimposed reward of spirit power increase by one rank."

The black light disappeared into her forehead. She bowed again in thanks and flew back to her friends who congratulated her.

Liao Suyin looked at Ru Shenqi. "Let's go to my Douluo next. That way, you're two thirds of the way done."

"Okay. Let's go everyone."

They all took off, heading for Sea Lance Sacred Pillar. When they arrived, Sea Lance Douluo was sitting, waiting for them. When he stood, they saw that he was a tall man with very long blond hair. He wore a black top that completely exposed his stomach and right arm, and black pants.

Ru Shenqi knew Liao Suyin could handle this Douluo on her own. So, she let her go first. Sitting down to restore her spirit power on the other side of the Sea Within a Sea, the others watched as Liao Suyin leapt over the water by herself to land on the Sea Lance Sacred Pillar Platform. She bowed to her examiner.

"Greetings, Senior. I'm here for my Fifth Test."

He nodded. "Then let's begin."

His lance appeared in his hand. Liao Suyin immediately launched her third spirit skill, Tarantula Reign. Though her aura of supreme authority barely worked on this Titled Douluo, her full ensemble of jaded armor that protected her body and tarantula legs were a precaution against this tool spirit master.

"Man and spear in one, make yourself into the spear like water."

His seventh spirit ring lit up. Liao Suyin's eyes widened as she watched him completely merge with his lance. She launched her own spirit avatar and summoned her mini tarantulas with her fifth spirit skill. He was unfazed though and launched his third spirit skill, Lance Shadow Three Points. Two shadows of his lance appeared along with the real one. All threw flew towards her. She ran and dodged out of the way.

"Second spirit skill, Tarantula Fury! Fourth spirit skill, Tarantula Web!"

She boosted her attributes and sent out sticky webs to try and stop the lance's attack. But the webs just passed right through the shadow copies. The real one kept chasing after her. It hit through her shoulder and sent her into the Sea Within a Sea.

"SUYIN!" all of the others cried.

Bai Shanxin's wings shot out. She was just about to go get her friend when Xiao Bai stopped her.

"The test is still going on. Don't interfere."

A few minutes later, Liao Suyin crawled up out of the water back onto the platform. She glowered at the Sea Lance Douluo and slowly stood.

"Extinguish the Sight of the Sea!"

Sea Lance Douluo's eighth spirit ring lit up. Liao Suyin launched her sixth sprit skill and sent poisoned needles flying towards the overbearing lance. But the lance seemed to absorb it without any consequences. But then, the needles came flying back at her. Alarmed, she ran and jumped, trying to avoid them at all costs. The few that hit bounced off of her jade armor. When she stopped, she was panting.

I need to win. Xiao Shen is counting on me. I can't let her down.

She straightened and looked coolly at the lance in the air. Man and tool had separated, and the lance appeared in the Titled Douluo's hand. This time, she waited for him to come and attack, which he did. He flew down, and thrusted out with his lance. She twisted, narrowly missing the tip.

Her first spirit ring lit up as her jade legs shot out. She pricked the right side of his torso, allowing for her poison to seep into his wound.

"Senior," Liao Suyin addressed respectfully. "You've been poisoned. If you continue, the poison will continue to spread. And only I can retract it. You won't be able to expel my poison otherwise."

He gritted his teeth. "Fine. You've passed."

His hand raised and the pillar turned white with light.

A black screen of light appeared around Liao Suyin as the majestic voice proclaimed, "Liao Suyin. Fifth Trial, Challenge Douluo, completed. Black Level Six Test Award: superimposed reward of spirit power increase by one rank."

The black light disappeared into her forehead. She stuck one of her jade legs into the Titled Douluo's side and took back her poison. When she had finished, she bowed.

"Many thanks to Senior. I'll get going now."

He nodded and waved her away. She returned to her friends as they cheered, and Ru Shenqi flew forward towards the Sea Lance Douluo.

Bowing respectfully, she said, "Greetings, Senior."

He nodded, realizing her intent.

Before he could even launch a spirit skill, Ru Shenqi's voice rose up. "First spirit ring, Clear Crystal Scatter. Fifth spirit skill, Clear Crystal Myriad Flames."

She disoriented him before blocking his sight altogether. Within the flames, she launched her fourth spirit skill, slowing down time. Then, she waited. Back on the other side of the Sea Within a Sea, Xiao Bai looked to the others, confused.

"What's going on?"

"Xiao Shen's cunning," Ming Yong replied. "She knows what to do to get herself out of a bad situation."

"That's right," the other agreed.

Gu Xingyun added, "She rarely ever uses her second spirit skill. But when she does, no one's ever dared to attack her afterwards."

Xiao Bai's eyes widened. "Such a tyrannical skill?!"

"It's not really that tyrannical," Shu Jiaxiang admitted. "It just is a conniving skill."

"Lance Shadow Three Points!"

Three lances went flying towards the fire. Her friends all smirked, which Sea Lance Douluo saw. Instantly, he knew something wasn't right. Just as the lances almost hit their target, the flames suddenly receded to reveal none other than Bo Saixi. In a hurry, Sea Lance Douluo retracted his spirit skill.

"Master Bo Saixi!" he cried before bowing.

Xiao Bai stood there, dumbstruck.

Suddenly, the Shrek Six Tyrants burst out laughing. Bo Saixi smiled sweetly. "Sea Lance Douluo, do I really look that similar to my late relative? I wish I could've met the Sea God Douluo."

Then, Ru Shenqi raised up into the air. "Fifth spirit skill secondary ability, Clear Crystal Annihilation!"

Countless purple bubbles spread around a 10 meter radius and exploded upon contact with the Sea Lance Douluo, sending him flying back into the Sacred Pillar. Bo Saixi still floated there, looking innocent as ever.

"Sea Lance Douluo, have I passed yet?"

He tried to shake himself from the reverie, but it failed. For this wasn't a hallucination. It was an illusion, but a very well done one.

Sighing, she shot towards him. Her Jester Tarsier King right arm bone appeared as she released Jester Hands. Claws grew out from her fingernails, and when she got close, she struck out with a calculated attack that sent him flying down to the platform. Ru Shenqi floated down slowly, still smiling.

Sea Lance Douluo looked up at her. "Master Bo Saixi..."

Finally, Ru Shenqi recalled her second spirit skill, returning to her usual appearance. "I apologize for my rudeness, Senior. I doubted my capability to defeat you with skills no one has seen yet."

His eyes widened as the Shrek Six Tyrants and Xiao Bai came over. Xiao Bai danced around her, confused. Ru Shenqi laughed and explained her second spirit skill. After she had finished, Sea Lance Douluo raised his hand. His pillar lit up with white light.

"Ru Shenqi. Second part of Fifth Trial Challenge Douluos, completed."

"Nice, Xiao Shen!" her friends cried.

She bowed respectfully towards the Sea Lance Douluo. "Many thanks, Senior. We'll be going now."

He nodded, and they all left.

When the Shrek Seven Tyrants and Xiao Bai landed on the opposite side of the Seahorse Sacred Pillar's Sea Within a Sea, Ru Shenqi turned towards Shu Jiaxiang.

"You got this. Don't worry, we haven't even taken half a day yet. Jiayou!"

"Jiayou!" the five others echoed.

Shu Jiaxiang smiled. "Xiao Shen, Xingyun, I'll finish this as soon as possible so that you two have enough time. Sea Dragon Douluo will be the hardest test."

With that, her Six Purple Light Wings external spirit bone emerged, and she flew across the Sea Within a Sea to land at the platform. She looked up at the man standing at the base of the pillar. He was a tall, well built man with long silver hair and wore simple black robes, with black hair pieces.

The Seahorse Douluo, Ou Ya, smiled. "It seems you seven are just as good, if not better than your Seniors. That's good. Haishen Island will have powerful protectors for years to come."

"Senior's words are too kind. Our Seniors are famous."

"And I heard your captain is as well."

Shu Jiaxiang turned around to look at Ru Shenqi. She replied, "Xiao Shen is another kind of genius. None of us can compare to her. There's a reason why she has the epithet Hell's Little Empress."

She faced Ou Ya again and bowed. "Please start the Test, Senior."

He nodded and released his spirit. A magnificent sea-blue apparition of a seahorse appeared behind him. Shu Jiaxiang released her spirit and immediately entered the Spirit Avatar state as well. In succession, Shadow Cheetah Silence and Shadow Cheetah Multiply launched. When she got by him, her voice echoed next to his ear.

"Third spirit skill, Shadow Cheetah Fog."

One thing these Seven Sacred Pillar Guardians had learned from this Fifth Trial was that many of the Shrek Seven Tyrants could unleash poison at any time.

Ou Ya felt an extreme chill and his nervous system began to go numb. His eyes widened in shock.

He took a deep breath and called out, "Whirlwind Giant Wave Nirvana Fist!"

All the surrounding water began to form a giant wave vortex, producing a range for killing. Being in the center of the Sea Within a Sea was undoubtedly the best place for Whirlwind and Giant Waves to perform the Nirvana Fist. The monstrous waves had begun to spin frantically, and Seahorse Douluo's spirit abilities were rapidly increasing, although he was numb.

"Sixth spirit skill, Shadow Cheetah Dodge!"

Her speed gained a twenty percent boost as Shu Jiaxiang dashed from side-to-side. With her speed maintained, she didn't have to worry about slowing down, but this scary ninth spirit skill was a lockdown skill. Hovering over the Sea Within a Sea, she realized she couldn't avoid the two ginormous fists that were steadily getting closer to her. So, she launched her fourth spirit skill, Shadow Cheetah Ether. As her body became ethereal, the attack hit. But she felt nothing. Protected from the attack, just like Tang San's Nothingness skill, her Shadow Cheetah Ether was a good skill to protect her while also allowing her to dash away. Her first spirit skill launched again, and she landed back on the Seahorse Sacred Pillar Platform.

She used Shadow Cheetah Multiply again and shot towards the now wearied Ou Ya. When she got close, her nails struck out as her second spirit skill, Shadow Cheetah Claw launched. Shu Jiaxiang swiped at him and sent him flying backwards into the pillar. She stopped and bowed low.

"Senior, please forgive this junior for her rudeness."

He flew down and waved it off. "We were ordered to not go easy on any of you. The same can be expected of you seven towards us."

Ou Ya raised his hand, and his pillar turned white. A black screen of light appeared around Shu Jiaxiang as the majestic voice proclaimed, "Shu Jiaxiang. Fifth Trial, Challenge Douluo, completed. Black Level Six Test Award: superimposed reward of spirit power increase by one rank."

The black light disappeared into her forehead, and the other six plus Xiao Bai came over.

"Jiaxiang, you did it!"

"Well done!"

"Nice!"

She nodded towards them all. "Now, Suyin, Yong, Youyou, Shanxin, and I only have one Trial left. Xingyun, Xiao Shen, good luck with Sea Dragon Douluo."

The two shared a look. A gleefully wicked glint flashed in Ru Shenqi's eyes. He chuckled, knowing her intentions.

Her lilting, ethereal, captivating voice boasted, "Shall we see how Sea Dragon Douluo handles Hell's Duo?"
