Red Moon. 

Once in every century, that is hundred years of span, comes a time when a red moon rises in the Blood Domain, and shines equivalently upon the whole planet for a complete 36 hours. 

Around these specific hours, the cold-blooded residents of the realm, become extremely fragile and find it even difficult to take a short hundred-meter run. Some of the newborns' existence comes to an end under the crimson orb. 

What causes such a phenomenon or what was the way to counter its effect was still unknown. Even the Vampire king doesn't have endurance against it, even though he is the oldest vampire in the realm. 

Some believe that it was the curse of Jesus, and some have faith that it was all related to something massive which would be happening in the upcoming future. 

But the Queen of Clan Amber was abducted on the nightmarish event of Vampires was still unclear since the culprits must have been the same as her, further self-explaining that those must be weakened too. 

Unless... 

"Someone from another realm interfered?" 

Rita only asked him about his awareness of the Red Moon, yet he was able to draw such a conclusion out of it in so less time. 

Outstanding. 

The maid standing behind the Queen, was baffled, too, since she never expected that someone from the human realm could understand the knowledge of Blood Domain so fluently. 

"I am surprised, you can tell. Yes, indeed, the clan who wished for my death took the help of the mindless beasts from the lower realm and forcibly helped them infiltrate the castle in my most vulnerable time. Since the clan involved in this belonged to my own brother, I wasn't able to anticipate such a possibility. In the end, I was taken away because of my own incompetence."

There was apparent grief and regret in her eyes as she spoke about the incident, which made her realize how foolish she was.  

 

Kei understood her emotions somehow as he heard her continuing about the ordeal. 

"Once I was there, they kept me restrained using a weird stone with a cyan radiant. I don't know what it made me feel weaker than under the red moon. I don't know........" 

Kei's eyes went wide for a second as he missed what she said next. Straightening his back,  he asked in a slight fluster. 

"Stone? Can you tell me about it?" 

The maid glared at him for being so disrespectful, but he didn't intend to bother about it for now. 

"That stone? Well, I only saw the radiance of it continuously floating over my cell, so I am not sure about its texture, but under its light, I felt my life energy had been sucked out. And also, it made me hallucinate about such thing which I couldn't even utter." 

Kei's eyes were now wide to their furthest extent , with his doubts being cleared out as soon he heard the details about the stone. 

"Kei-kun? You know something?" 

Rita's voice pulled him out of his stupor as, after collecting his thoughts, he replied in a neutral voice. 

"No, I am completely clueless here." 

A smirk formed on the seductive lips of the lady in front since it was evident that Kei had just lied right now. But she hasn't invited him to interrogate and involve him in the matter. 

Thanks to the arrival of her daughter, the flow of the conversation shifted to a brighter end. 

"Kei~kun. How do I look?" 

Lina chimed as she appeared out of nowhere and stood beside her mother, and asked Kei about his review. 

Unlike before, she had a more elegant dress on her charming body. An off-shoulder one-piece black dress with frills at the end of the apparel. The length of the skirt wasn't even enough to hide her upper thighs as two attractive long legs made Kei immensely troubled about where to look. 

Lina was extremely stunning right now that Kei forgot to breathe for a second. In a panic about how he should compliment her, he only nodded in the end. 

"Just a nod? You won't get popular with girls if you don't compliment them properly, Kei-kun."

Kei became flustered being pointed out, but thankfully Lina came to his rescue. 

"It's okay mom. He always becomes speechless when he gets incredibly nervous. So his silence is the best praise I could receive."

Kei blinked in surprise since he didn't realize how closely Lina was observing him. 

Founding his gaze on her, Lina averted her eyes, with slight redness spreading on her face. 

The atmosphere suddenly between the two turned a little cozy even though they weren't looking at each other. 

Naomi had a blank look on her face since she didn't comprehend these kinds of things. 

The charming woman who was watching the sight in front smiled warmly as she asked tje couple in a warm tone. 

"So when is the wedding?"

The group of three and the maid moved toward the hall next to the reception, where a long dining table awaited them. 

Kei was guided to one of the chairs as a butter helped him put the napkin before he walked back and left were only the three, along with the head maid Naomi. 

The food was served by Naomi as well, which made Kei gulp. There were a lot of varieties and dishes which he never saw before. 

He thanked god for accepting the invitation since it would be a complete waste to miss such a feast. 

"It's okay for you to start, Kei-kun." 

Rita spoke as she also took a wine glass and started sipping on not so mysterious drink. 

Lina, who was sitting beside Kei, was also served some jelly-like thing, maroon in color, which Kei chose not to ask about. 

"Th-Thanks for the food." 

Disposing the courtesy, Kei dug into the food, which didn't fail in taste. Heck, it was whole another level from what he generally eats. 

At first, Kei was eating a little too gentlemanly, but soon he became impatient and continued eating the way he usually does at home. 

The expression on Lina and Rita's faces was almost identical as they warmly saw the sight of Kei heartily having his time. It made them glad that the food was of his liking. 

The pile of food decreased in no time before Kei finally got done with his complete appetite, which enraged his hunger after so long today. 

In the human realm, he generally suppresses his hunger; otherwise, he might run low on rations every next day. 

"It was great." 

Unlike before, his voice carried a little more vigor as he praised honestly. 

"Well, it's all thanks to Naomi that she studied cooking for today's celebration." 

"She prepares all this? Amazing." 

Even for a second, the stern look of the maid softened as she received genuine praise, but there was no chance of her saying thanks to the person who disrespected her mistress. 

Kei, upon seeing the heavy gaze of the maid, thanked his luck as a sigh left his lips. 

'It's fortunate that she prepared this food before my arrival or who knows what poison I might have digesting right now. '
