I walked down the street in my school uniform, consisting of a long-sleeved white shirt, a blue skirt, and an unbuttoned dark blue blazer.

I also wore black stockings and walked with confidence as my dark purple hair danced in the air.

“They really broadcasted that a few times in a row, huh?”

Beside me, my best friend Aru muttered as she held a fat cat in her hand. She also wore the same school uniform as me, but she wore a white lab coat instead of a dark blue blazer. She really loved that coat, didn’t she?

“It is natural. A Magical Girl rampaged and almost killed some civilians. There is also a casualty of a newly turned Magical Girl, so it’s no wonder they broadcasted it two days in a row.” I replied to my friend as I glanced at her.

“I agreed with Asa. Kind girl, let me tell you something. The appearance of the first Evil Magical Girl means that there will be more following suit. Those idiots who have been in hiding until now will show themselves and find their favorite girl to be turned into an Evil Magical Girl.” Titan explained to Aru as it tapped its paw against her hand.

“Is that so? Then, okay. Asa, let’s walk faster. The entrance ceremony is about to start.”

We walked faster down the road, going to our school as Titan jumped to my shoulder. A lot of students appeared as we walked a bit away from the main area of Shibuya. They looked in my direction and whispered to their friends.

Aru smiled wryly as she knew what they whispered. Of course, I also knew what they whispered to each other due to my exceptional hearing. They wondered if our school had such a beautiful and sexy girl.

Yes, they were talking about me.

I walked with pride when I knew I was at the center of attention. Aru also wasn’t bothered a bit as it was normal for us to be showered with attention in the first place. We were a bit famous in our school.

I scrolled down the name list and found Aru’s name in my class too. I found another familiar name at the bottom and smiled, but I wouldn’t tell Aru about it yet.

“It seems we are in the same class again, Aru.” I looked at my side. Aru was pouting. She couldn’t see the list due to her short height, and it bothered her.

“I see… Let’s get going. We put our bags in and go to the gym to attend the entrance ceremony.”

“Alright.”

I am glad that Commander Amamiya fulfilled her promise. I thought as I walked to the third floor where our classroom was.

The entrance ceremony was boring.

It was filled with the new student council president’s speech, then continued with the principal’s speech. His speech was the same as usual, about how we should take school seriously even after taking a year break 3 years ago due to the appearance of Beasts.

Aru played with Titan all the time while I played with my phone, scrolling down the forum and reading about how the forum’s people deducted that Arsy was the one who exterminated the Beasts in Hokkaido.

Truthfully, those forum people were better than the police, weren’t they? Shouldn’t they work as a detective instead of being no-good shut-ins?

Anyway, we returned to our class. I sat at the front in the leftmost row. Aru sat behind me. As expected, our classmates who knew us made a fuss about my appearance.

“Woah, are you making your spring debut, Arisugawa?”

“I thought she was a new student, but it turned out to be Arisugawa?!”

“You’ve really changed, huh? What made the change?”

Many people surrounded me, and Titan jumped to the window’s frame beside my desk to escape.

As a nice girl, I answered all their questions kindly. I told them that I had met my soulmate and chose to change my appearance. They accepted it with a smile and interrogated me about this soulmate of mine, but I kept it secret and said.

I wasn’t lying about that.

The bell rang shortly after, and all students returned to their seats. There were 30 students in total in one classroom, but there were still only 29 students in my classroom. It was because there was an exchange student today, someone that I knew well.

The teacher entered right after the students were seated. He was someone with a kind look, wearing a glass. Standing behind the podium, he surveyed the class.

“Alright, students. Welcome back to the school. I want to ask how your spring break is, but I see that some of you have a fulfilling break.” He said, focusing on me.

I smiled at the teacher, and he said.

“Arisugawa. While dyeing your hair is not breaking the rule, why choose purple of all colors?” He asked.

“I love purple, Mr. Kawahara.” Was my answer.

“I see.” He nodded without asking any further. Some students reacted a bit, such as ‘blonde was better!’ or ‘I think silver suited you well!’

I was a bit loved in this class, wasn’t I? The teacher was also easygoing, so he giggled at the students’ jokes.

“Alright, enough jokes. Some of you might be wondering why there are only 29 students inside the class. That’s because we have a new friend, an exchange student from the prestigious Raylight!”

“Woah!”

“Really?!”

“Raylight is…”

“Indeed.” The teacher nodded, a grin on his face. “This exchange student is a Magical Girl! Due to the new policy, she will attend in her Magical Girl form and name. I hope you guys can get along with her.”

“Yoshaaa!”

“A Magical Girl!!”

The class burst loudly after Mr. Kawahara said that. All of them must’ve skipped reading the special announcement under the class distribution on the field earlier.

“Hey, Asa.” Aru poked my shoulder from behind, and I turned to her. “Is this Magical Girl… Her?” She smiled widely and couldn’t hide her happy tone.

I nodded at Aru with a smile. “Yes. It’s her.”

“Woah, I see. Then the new policy…”

“Be quiet!” Mr. Kawahara raised his voice, making the class quiet immediately.

“I will tell you later,” I said to Aru and turned my attention back to Mr. Kawahara.

“I know your excitement, but let’s welcome her first. You may enter.” He said, looking at the door.

At once, every student in our classroom also looked at the door. The door slid open from outside, and a gorgeous red-haired girl entered the classroom.

Instead of wearing her usual red dress, she wore a similar school uniform. The first thing she did after entering the classroom was to look at me with her eyes widened.

I waved my hand secretly, making her frown in displeasure. But that expression was quickly replaced with a smile, as expected of her.

She stopped beside Mr. Kawahara, looking at the students.

“Alright folks, hide your stupid smiles from your face.” Mr. Kawahara said. “Then, you may introduce yourself.”

“Yes.” The redhead nodded. Her voice was smooth and beautiful, charming the class in just a second. “I am Magiya Blaze, and I will attend this school as a student from now on. Maybe I won’t be able to attend every day due to my duty, but I hope we can get along.”

“Magiya Blaze!!”

“Kyaa!!”

The students burst cheerfully once again. Even Aru joined and shouted Magiya Blaze’s name. They didn’t notice, but after Magiya Blaze introduced her name, she glanced at me and moved her lips.

I only smiled at her without saying anything. I bet school will be fun from now on.
