Mila stands before Glyn, her body wrapped in flames, with nine tails extending from her back as she gnarls her teeth at Oscar. Oscar forces himself up and adjusts his human skin as he smiles. With a snap of his fingers, his metal shields rocket down the hall and plant themselves in front of Mila. Glyn stands up and looks at Mila, who ignores him, focused on the enemy in front of her.
“Mila. Are you okay?”
She ignores him and roars, firing off a flaming sphere at Oscar. He blocks the attack with his shield and laughs. “Come now. Have you gone feral, woman? That’s fine. I’ll just break you, and then you’ll obey as you're supposed to!”
“Who’d obey you?” She asks, rushing ahead at top speed.
Oscar smirks as his shields scoop him up. He floats down the hall, exiting the prison area, and Mila chases after him, burning the hall behind her. Glyn sighs as he picks himself up and grabs hold of his book.
“Well, we have to kill that guy either way, so this could be a good thing. But….” He shakes his head. “No, I’ll worry about that later. For now, I have to help Mila anyway I can. And I can start with a weapon.”
“Come, little fox, let’s play a game. Catch me if you can!” Oscar yells, taunting Mila.
She screams, charging ahead at full speed as her flames burn. Oscar floats on his shield and snaps his fingers as armored knights emerge from the hallways. Mila leaps into the air and fires off a blast of flames that burns away the armor and melts the plants inside. Landing, she continues her charge, only for another armor to leap out of the corner and wrap itself around her. She throws it off, sending it rolling across the corridor as more armors emerge behind it.
Rage filling her eyes, she charges in only for her body to stop. “What is this?”
“Wait and think for a moment.” Glyn grabs at his King Piece, desperately trying to contain Mila. “Keep rampaging, and you’ll have the whole ship here in a heartbeat.”
Mila ignores him and struggles to move her body. “I’ll kill that bastard and….”
“Before you go running off, at least take a weapon!” Glyn yells, throwing a sword in front of Mila. “It may not be the style you like. But it’s the best we can do until we get out of here.”
Mila stares down at the blade and, as she regains control of her body, snatches up the blade. Instinctually, she moves, slicing up the armors in her way and burning away their insides. As she swings, a burst of flames shoots out from the blade, burning anything in its way.
Oscar watches from above. “Impressive. No wonder Sebastian is convinced you’d make a perfect desert for the Great One.”
“Yeah, well, we’re stopping that plan here and now,” Glyn says.
“Really now. It looks to me like she’s trying to destroy everything, and you're just a weight around her neck. Pretty worthless, huh, Half-Elf?”
Mila leaps into the air and swings her sword. “You talk too much!” She yells.
Oscar raises his shield, blocking her low, only for the sword to glow hot with flames and melt through. She puts her full strength into the swing, slicing through the metal shield and cutting into Oscar’s throat. He falls back, collapsing to the ground as he grabs at his throat.
“It burns!” He struggles to speak, rolling across the ground. “It hurts so much!”
Mila lands and holds out the sword, only to see it melt as she tosses it aside. “Trash.”
“Well, I guess they weren’t tempered like your normal sword,” Glyn says, pulling a barrel. “That’s why I got plenty of them from the guard’s armory. They're all pretty old, though.”
“Worthless.” She says, glancing at Glyn.
“Um, okay.”
Oscar forces himself up and opens his mouth. A slimy black thing forces its head out of the human skin and glares at Mila. Oscar contorts in strange ways as the metal around the airship shakes. He laughs as he pulls the swords away from Glyn, sending them flying towards Mila. She dodges the attack as pipes and wires from within the ship break through and reach out for her. Mila fires off flaming spheres across the room, torching everything around as she dodges his attempts to hold her down.
As she steps closer to Oscar, a sword rises from the floor and stabs her through the side. “Mila!” Glyn cries out.
“Hahaha!” Oscar laughs. “Weak little mortal, what can you do against my might?”
“You and your stolen power have nothing on me!” She yells, the flames around her burning hotter and brighter. The flames change color, going from red to blue, to purple, to green, to yellow. As each color burns on her tails, rapidly changing, she yells, pulling the sword from her side and swinging.
A burst of flames rockets from the tip of her blade as a slash cutting into Oscar and slashing him in two. He screams out in pain as the black creature breaks away from its human skin, attempting to flee. Mila fires off a multicolored fireball, causing an explosion that hits the escaping sludgy leech.
Glyn reaches out his hand. “Calm down, or you’ll kill us alongside that thing!”
He focuses on the Queen Piece inside of Mila’s body, trying to cut off the flow of Mana throughout her body. But feels the intense heat and burn of the Mana flowing through her in his own piece. Mila, however, her body restrained once again, fights against Glyn’s binding and reaches at her chest.
The Queen Piece emerges from within her, forced out by her own will. And she grabs it, grasping it with her full might as she senses her connection to the object. Overcome by rage, she roars out, tightening her grip and shattering the Piece into pieces and dropping what remains onto the ground.
With the Piece destroyed, a burst of feedback hits Glyn, causing his Piece to crack as he collapses to the ground. A burning pain shoots through his body as his nose bleeds, with Mila turning away from him.
“Weakling.” She stomps forward and stares at the writhing black mass in front of her. She gathers flames in her palm, glaring at the creature. “Now die!”
“Mila!” Glyn yells at the top of his lungs.
