Mira was trying not to think about how she was dressed or where she was. What she had thought would be a dinner at home ended up being a dinner out. The crazy dragon ruling her life decided that she needed to eat out. Zemoria wanted her to get out of the house while naked, saying something about helping build her confidence. It certainly was making things different. At least no one was saying anything about her attire, but then again a naked girl on the streets wasn’t too uncommon here. She blamed the dungeon for that one.

So here she was, sitting at a table at an eatery not far from her home. Someone had gotten the idea that a few tables and a stall out in the open was a good business plan. They only had three things on the menu, and the smell of meat cooking pervaded the space. In a way, it was kind of nice, and definitely different than visiting the tavern or inn for a meal. Zemoria had called it something and found it nostalgic. Not that Mira could recall seeing one before.

At the moment, she was just trying to compose herself. Zemoria expected her to order all the food, but she hadn’t yet. It was kind of nerve-wracking to be totally nude and in public. Every time she saw a new person, she had to suppress the urge to jump out of her skin or hide her body. Doing either inevitably drew more attention to herself than she wanted. Not that she knew why.

Speaking of new people, a pair had just arrived. A young demon, and an older demon, perhaps her mother. The younger demon did not seem happy, but she could not hear what they were saying. Zemoria smiled, suddenly, “Ah, perfect. Go over to those two, and introduce yourself. I kind of pity that younger demon, and she could use a distraction as much as you.”

“Huh?”

“That poor little girl lost everything she ever had, and just recently even her old name.”

Mira gave the young demon a second look and had to admit that her problems seemed small compared to that. She sighed and decided to at least say hello to the two demons. Might as well make Zemoria happy, before she decided to puppet her or something.

The smaller demon noticed her first but merely gave her a look. She wasn’t happy to say it, but they were about the same size. She gave the girl a smile, “Hello, I’m Mira, and you are?”

The young demon answered, “Darious.” only to be immediately whacked.

“Forgive her, we only visited the temple today, and she isn’t used to her new name yet. Introduce yourself properly, young lady.”

The young demon sighed and said “Daria” then muttered something about how the guild master and dungeon were gone so they had gone to the temple.

She frowned, “Excuse me Daria sweetie, what do mean the dungeon is gone? It’s right over there.”

Daria gave her a look, “I wasn’t talking about the body, but the spirit. No one has seen either all day. The guild was actually a bit panicked earlier when we dropped by to meet the guild master and dungeon avatar.”

The other demon spoke up, “Those two are often together, and young Daria here is an orphan. I was taking her to Misaki so she could approve of me taking care of her. It’s actually a good thing when a guild and dungeon get along. It benefits both groups, you know?”

Mira blinked and understood why Zemoria was pitying poor Daria. She really had lost everything, even her family. This conversation was also proving to be interesting. She had already learned something about the guild she had not known before. Before she could ask more, however, a notification suddenly filled her vision.

Misaki looked up from her window. “How do you go about deciding which choice to pick?”

Phylis shrugged, “Ain’t that hard actually. While the windows don’t give you much info on your options, you can make a few guesses. Goddess Dewari is also nearby, so she could give a quick summary, and will do so if you ask. In general though, the highest rarity pick you have is typically the best. Out of my seven picks, one of them is of Mythic rarity. That is way better than any option I had last time. I honestly think I am going to take that one. I just have a couple questions to ask first...private questions.”

With that Phylis left, and Misaki looked back at her seven picks. Higher rarity was usually better? How do I tell her that I have two legendary rarity choices though?

She thought about that long enough for Phyllis to come back. Although it had taken her a little longer than she had thought for Phyllis to ask her questions. Phylis was first to speak, “Made any choices yet?”

“Well, I had seven as well, but I guess it’s really a choice between my last two. Sanctified Guild Stronghold of True Demonic Corruption, or Divine Guild Stronghold of Corrupting Demonic Transformation. I’m not sure which to pick though, they are the same rarity.”

Phyllis sat down in a chair, “Well, those in the same rarity tend to be equally strong. They just focus differently. The first sounds like it focuses more on Demonic Corruption, while the second sounds like it focuses on transformation. Other than your whole turning failed challengers into girls thing you don’t really do a lot of transformation. You and your demons really like the whole demonic corruption thing. I think the first option is more your style, but I would ask Dewari to be sure.”

Speak of the goddess, and she appears. The moment Phyllis mentioned her, she entered the room. “I figured you might have some questions. Phyllis helping you alright?”

Misaki nodded, “She helped me narrow it down to my last two options. Just not sure which one I should pick yet.”

Dewari settled into a nearby chair, “Well both options are good, although the second might be a little troublesome. Personally, I think the Sanctified Guild Stronghold of Demonic Corruption is more your style. It focuses heavily on both mental and physical corruption, but it also ties into your ever-growing relationship with Phyllis and her guild. I have a strong feeling that Phyllis is going to take her mythic option, and that option will also strengthen her bond with you. That is going to mean some changes for Bordertown as a whole, but not all that surprising given the two of you are the pillars of the whole town.”

“I guess.”

Misaki looked at her sixth option in the menu. Both of them were telling her that it was the option that suited her best, and she trusted them both. Dewari had never given her a reason not to trust her. Most of the time she was like a mother offering advice. If Dewari said this one was for the best, it very well might be. With a thought she confirmed her choice.

Dewari smiled, “Looks like you both have decided. I’ll send you back to your bedroom. Your evolutions will start the moment you go to bed.”

Space distorted, and they were back where Dewari had snatched them. Misaki found herself yawning, suddenly very sleepy. Phyllis was the same and crawled into the bed saying, “It was like this last time too. I don’t much remember the change, but I think that’s the point.”

Misaki wanted to ask her what she had picked, but Phyllis had already drifted off. With another yawn, she crawled into the bed, and snuggled up next to her mate. Within seconds she was asleep. They would sleep till dawn, unaware of what their evolving was doing to the town.”

Alert!

Guild Ritual: Sanctification of Bordertown will now begin

Mira stared at the window uncomprehending. For a moment or two, but she was finding it increasingly hard to focus on the window. Rather instead she was finding herself increasingly distracted by her body. A burning heat was building in her loins, and belly. The younger demon, Daria was looking around confused, and then she heard moaning.

Looking to her left she saw two girls playing with the other’s breasts. Before she could think much of it, a tongue invaded her mouth. It was the older demon, and with that tongue all thought left her mind. All that mattered was release.

Daria watched as Mira and Crystal suddenly started mating right in front of her. Everywhere she looked people were starting to pair. Yet she felt no urge to join in. Confused she looked around until she spotted someone who seemed to still be sane. An older lady, who was completely naked with wings and scales. Clearly a dragonkin of some kind, and it wasn’t odd for one to be naked in public.

She walked over to the young lady, who watched her approach. The question on her lips was answered before she could even ask. “Don’t see these very often, but this is a divine lust ritual. I suspect it will last all night.”

“A holy ritual? I have participated in a few, but none of them were like this.”

The lady sighed, “Lust rituals tend to be like this, but the participants won’t mind. Trust me they are going to be very happy, and likely pregnant too. Anyway, have you eaten tonight? Have a place to stay?”

Daria blushed, Crystal had fed her shortly before they came here. Crystal had come here to eat, but Daria was already full. Not that she wanted to think about her meal. It was a bit embarrassing. After a moment, she said, “Yeah, Crystal fed me, but she was also taking care of my sleeping arrangements.”

The dragon lady sighed, “I thought as much. Well, I already have one young girl to look after, a second won’t be a problem. Just give me a moment to inform Crystal where you will be. She can collect you in the morning.”

Daria looked around and realized this was likely the best offer she would get. It would beat trying to sleep outdoors in this craziness.  Although she was worried about the other children in town. She asked about that after the Dragon lady came back, and the dragon answered, “Well, I am a bit of an exception here in not being affected, but the patron goddess of this town seems to have summoned a large number of temporary caretakers. If you would prefer one of them you could always go to the temple.”

Daria frowned, and asked hopefully, “It’s not Dewari is it?”

The dragon replied, “Dewari is the current patron of this town.”

Her shoulders drooped, and she sighed, “In that case, I think I will stick with you.”

She knew it was rather pointless, but she wanted to avoid that goddess as much as possible. The dragon just shook her head and led the way through the lust-crazed streets.
