After confirming that there was no more enemy in the vicinity, I approached the wailing knight at the ground, held him with my leg and pointing my pulse rifle. Although this knight didn't do anything wrong to me, I can't let him live as I didn’t want him to bring me trouble later.

Suddenly, an idea sprung inside of my head. I took out the Universal Measurement Device and pointed it out to him. Instinctively, my mouth went agape in shock by the number written on the hologram.

196? Even when he already lost one of his arms! Just how strong the native of this world is?  Despite trying to recheck it again and again, the number didn’t change in the least.

Universal Measurement Device calculated the point of the state of being at that moment. So, if a living being lost a limb or two, it would decrease accordingly. After calming myself down, I pulled the trigger of the rifle and ended his miserable life.

At least, this is a mercy I could give to him.

Subsequently, I changed my gaze to the pure girl. A fright expression was plastered on her face as she tried to move her wounded body backward while muttering something.

Figured, that she’ll be scared.

I then pointed out my Universal Measurement Device to her, vigilant that she might be a monster in disguise. Seeing the number, although I was still surprised, it at least acceptable.

Still, 38? For a normal human that didn't have their gene-modified could normally reach around 20 points. Well, the gravitation here is twice that of Earth. So, they might adapt and have stronger bones, although for some reason they still had the same height as a normal Human.

As if mistaking the device for a weapon, a horrified look couldn’t be hidden from her face. She then begged while stuttering, “P-P*ease do%’t hurt Li$l#e… If y*u wa#ted ^o kil* Lil@ie, ple$se do it s*iftly an@ painle$sly.”

Hearing that, I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry. The girl seemed to have accepted death after seeing the carnage. Guess, time to check if the translator could work.

“Don’t worry, I won’t hurt or kill you.” I comforted the girl after giving some thought.

Damn, I wasn’t good at interacting with a little girl. Saying that just now would just make me look more suspicious.

“Re-*eally? Mi$ter &lack Knig%t w*n’t hur# Lilli$ w*th m@gic?” She inquired while still giving a suspicious look.

Wait, what, magic? Was my weapon so foreign to her that she assumes it to be magic? And did I look like a black knight? Well, my ceramic armor and helmet was painted black.

“Yes, I promise. Your name is Lil…?” The translation wasn’t perfect yet; therefore, I couldn’t hear her name clearly.

“It’s Lil*ie, Lilli# arc B&ightmo*n.“ She said without any stuttering.

Huh? If Lillie was her first name and Brightmoon was her last, what does arc mean? Maybe I should ask her.

Rumble…

Huh? Is that the sound of a stomach? I noticed that her face was blushing red like an apple. Seeing this cute scene, I couldn’t help but dropped my guard and laugh a little, “Pfthhh… hahahhaha.” As I held my stomach in laughter, a smile cropped up on my face.

Oh gosh… that was the first time I laugh for quite a long time.

Seeing me laughing, the tense Lillie seemed to drop her guard and chuckled before puffing her cheek.

“My apologize, Lillie. Here, take this for my laugh just now." I took out a strawberry bread from my dimensional storage before giving it to her.

Subsequently, she gazed at the bread for a moment before trying to stand up and moved her injured knee which made her fell. Looking at Lillie’s condition, I shook my head before taking out an ointment.

Just so happen that I bring this with me.

To not alerted her again, I spoke, “Here is a medicine that could heal your knee, would you trust me?”

Although she seemed to hesitate at first, at last, she nodded. Thereafter, I approached her before applying the ointment on her knee. In a blink of an eye, the falling wound disappeared completely without leaving any marks on her knee.

Lillie then stood up and tried to move around, she purely smiled at me and exclaimed, "Tha*k you, Miste* Bla$k #night! Lill*e f&els her bod% mu*h ea^ier to m@ve than *efore.”

Did she call her name as a subjective to herself? What a strange way to speak. Seeing that, I gave her the strawberry bread and smiled in satisfaction.

Lillie’s Perspective

Pant.. pant… pant*

Lillie could feel that the bad knights weren’t chasing after her no more. She couldn’t spare more energy on her leg, thereby decided to take a rest under the shade of a tree.

‘Father and mother warned Lillie not to use the ability. But the bad knights won’t let Lillie get away.’ Lillie reminisced her past in sorrow and began to contemplate what she should do next.

‘Before getting captured, butler Brown told Lillie to get into the forest to chase off the knights. But Lillie didn’t have any other place to go.’ As Lillie downcasted her vision to the ground, a sound of hitting suddenly appeared and alerted Lillie awoke.

“Who's there?” Lillie erected her tired body and tried looking around the place for the origin of the sound.

Time passed, but no one answered her. Lillie shuddered in fear at the silence before deciding to run into the depths of the forest.

‘Run, run, run... must get away!’

Trees after trees she ran, it was until she saw a group of bad knights in the distance that she stopped in fear. All of them had an evil smile and clearly had a bad intention to her. Especially the spiky-haired knight, he moved toward her with a wicked smile and a threatening look.

“Huh… you really are a peerless beauty like the rumor had said. Now you had two choices, either you follow us nicely and be treated gently or refuse by resisting with your pitiful strength and be treated roughly.” Hearing that, Lillie’s body shuddered instinctively.

“No! Stay away from Lillie!” Lillie had her body involuntarily moved backward in fear but then the solid texture of a tree touched her back. Her fear almost reached the limit when the spiky-haired knight grinned in satisfaction and moved his hand towards her.

“Be careful Robert, the commander had said that she was an anomaly.” She couldn’t understand what the knight was saying but know it was certainly about her eyes.

“You see those two different colors on her eyes? That’s why she was being targeted to begin with.” A disgusted look was directed to her from inside that knight’s eyes.

‘Lillie now know, why all the people outside Lillie’s land were having a cold look on their eyes.’

“I already know that! I don’t need you to tell me.”

Seeing that the spiky-haired knight continued to approach her with his wicked smile. Lillie restlessly tried to look around and attempted to activate her ability. But alas it failed and instead, a shocking pain run through her eyes.

‘Gah… Lillie hates pain….' Lillie covered her head to lessen the pain.

“I hear that you got betrayed by your uncle and had your family executed. There’s no need to resist anymore…”

‘Did what he said true? No, that cannot be…. Father, mother… they said to Lillie that they will be fine…’ Lillie could feel her eyes became wet and a sense of sorrow pervaded over her.

Seeing the sorrowful eyes of Lillie, the spiky-haired knight Robert instead became more thrilled and grab her hands forcefully. Lillie tried to break loose with her little strength, but it was to no avail. Lillie then fell into the ground and hurt her knee as the knight intentionally pulled harder.

Bang!

The sound of an explosion suddenly appeared from somewhere. Lillie tried to duck and covered her head in fear and anxiety. While also covering her ears, scared of the sound of the explosion from before.

Dozens of seconds passed, but the pain that Lillie had expecting never came. She then opened her eyes and tried to gaze around the place. The sight that entered her vision made her shocked in terror and a cold shiver ran through her whole body.

Lillie tried to move her body backward, scared by the strange black knight that seemed to be the perpetrator of all of this. The black knight then pointed a strange object at her. Realizing that her demise was near, she muttered something, ‘Scary black knight…. Scary scary scary….’

At that time, Lillie gathered her last of courage and begged, "P-Please don't hurt Lillie… If you wanted to kill Lillie, please do it swiftly and painlessly."

“Do*’t %orry, I won’^ hu@t or ki*l you.” The black knight replied slightly unclearly.

Although Lillie still didn’t believe what the black knight said, she inquired just to be sure, “Re-really? Mister Black Knight won’t hurt Lillie with magic?”

Hearing what Lillie said, the black knight fell silent for a second before answering, “Yes, I p*omise. Y%ur name i$ Lil…?”

“It’s Lillie, Lillie arc Brightmoon," Lillie answered her full name without stuttering.

Rumble…

Suddenly the sound of stomach rumbling appeared from Lillie’s stomach, Lillie felt a burning sensation on her cheek as well as a little bit of shame.

“Pfthhh… hahahhaha.”

‘Did Mister Black Knight just laugh?’ Lillie couldn’t help but follow in a chuckle, but also a bit irritated to the black knight.

“My ap*logize, Lil^ie. Her&, take t#is for m* laug% just @ow.” The black knight then grabbed out something from his bracelet.

‘Is that space magic? Father said that only a Magus can take out an item from nowhere. Or the black knight had an interspatial dimension tool? Lillie didn’t know.’

Lillie then moved her body and tried to stand up, but pain was what meet Lillie and made her fell again. Seeing that Lillie fell to the ground, the black knight seemed to be worried and spoke, “H*re is a medic@ne tha# could &eal your k*ee, wo^ld you t%ust me?”

At first, Lillie still suspicious of the black knight's intention but nodded in the end. The black knight then approached Lillie before applying the ointment. In a blink of an eye, the fall wound disappeared completely without leaving any marks on her knee. Lillie couldn’t believe what she just saw and was convinced that the black knight was a Magus.

Lillie then tried to stand up and moved her body around. Surprised that her knee was completely healed and easier to move than before.

“Thank you, Mister Black Knight! Lillie feels her body much easier to move than before.”
