Seeing the wrap bread in my hand, confusion pervaded Lillie’s face as she took the bread. Crap, I forgot that people in this world seem to be backward.

Now that I think about it, the knights were dressed like the knight in the 1500s, so at least they had the technology of a Late Medieval Age to the Renaissance Era. I wonder what the towns and cities in this world look like.

After taking the bread, Lillie tried to open the wrap but to no avail.

“Ah.. let me help you.” I grabbed back the bread before opening the seal and gave it back to her. She then opened her small mouth and made a big chunk of bite unhesitatingly.

Does she not wary of food given by a stranger?

As Lillie munched, her eyes suddenly widen and shone in astonishment. She also held her two pink cheeks and shook her head as if she couldn't hold the delicious taste of the bread.

“Mmmmmh… Soooo Tastyyyyy~~~!!” No longer able to hold, she screamed in total bliss with her mouth enlarging in a full satisfied smile.

Hmm… Cute.

[“Good news master~, the foreign language had been fully constructed!”]

Just when I diverted my attention to the sudden report, Lillie had finished eating the strawberry bread in a few bites and the bread was completely gone from existence.

How… is that… possible? With her small mouth, that’s kinda unlikely. Ahem… now that it comes to this, It’s time for us to part ways. My face became sterned after realizing that I had acted without thinking.

“Lillie, those bad knights won’t be after you anymore as long as you follow this direction.” I pointed a direction on the southwest.

As the drones were still surveying the surroundings, I knew where all the knights and dangerous beasts were located. So of course, finding the safest location was just a piece of cake.

Hearing what I just said, Lillie seemed to become distressed in uncertainty. Since I couldn’t remain to linger here anymore, I continued, “Farewell, then.”

Thereafter, I turned around and walked back to the ship, leaving the girl alone in this place. Despite the unpleasant feeling, my face was kept straight.

It’s not that I’m a cruel person, at least I had done what I could do as we’re only a stranger.

Although bad feelings kept appearing inside of my heart, I didn't even glance at the back. Initially, nothing strange happened but as I felt something wasn't right, I stopped.

"Lillie, I know that you were following me, at least try to keep your step quiet if you want to do so." My eyes glanced to the back after somewhat giving a bit of advice to her.

From behind, I could hear her footsteps ceased as she came out from behind a tree. She had her head to the side while one of her feet was on tiptoe and her hands clasped behind her. Her eyes were looking somewhere when she replied to me, “N-no.. Lillie wasn’t following you… Li-Lillie just…”

“Just what?” I inquired, uncertain of what she was speaking about.

“Lillie…. Lillie didn’t have anywhere to go.” She downcast her look into the ground, tears were threatening to come out from the edge of her eyes.

Realization then struck deep into my bones as a feeling of guilt cropped up. Her heartbreaking look moved my heart and somehow, I could feel it melted.

This… Well, she could be a source of information for me to know more about this world, so bringing her back with me to the ship wasn't a bad idea either.

“Hah… Fine, if you really didn't have anywhere to go, you could stay with me then.” I sighed before raising my arm in her direction.

Just then, Lillie raised her head with an eye of a lost puppy that had just found its master, eagerness started forming on her face. There was also a trace of blush on her cheeks somehow. She then ran toward me and took my hand.

“Really? Yay~!”

Ah? I’m not asking for her hand… Did what I just said sound ambiguous or the translator was having a mistranslation? I didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but I decided to just ignore it as she was only a child.

“Are you really fine following someone that just killed a few people?”

She smiled at me with her pure look before replying, “That’s okay, Mister Black Knight is Lillie’s hero after all.”

Wha… What is this girl saying?

Then, I continued onward to the ship’s location after calming myself down. Of course, Lillie was still holding my hand for some reason, although I couldn’t feel her hand directly because of the suit.

Not long after, we reached the spaceship. An astonishing look can be seen from Lillie’s face as she gazed at the ship. Well, it’s what to be expected from the native of this world.

Subsequently, Lillie ran toward the ship in enthusiasm before stopping in front of the board ram. She tilted her head, bringing her right hand up to touch her cheek. Looking at her like that, an amusing thought crossed my mind.

“Amazing wasn't it? This is a spaceship, a vehicle that was able to cross the great distance between the stars in the sky.” A burning of enthusiasm was felt on my eyes as I explained.

"Star? The golden dot in the night sky? Lillie remembers seeing a falling star yesterday and it answers Lillie's wish." I noticed a twinkle in her eyes as she looked at the sky.

Falling star? Did she mean meteor? If she was near here yesterday, wasn’t that mean… When that thought crosses my mind, I couldn't help but make a frown between my eyebrows. Guess, I’ll need to move the ship away from here later.

Just then, Lillie moved forward to the automatic door. As she was getting near, the door suddenly opened by itself.

“Eek!” She jumped away, flabbergasted. Pftthh… As I thought, it’s a funny sight to see.

She then hid behind me while also peeking a little.

"Don't worry, it was an automatic door, a door that could open by itself," I explained after managing to hold my laughter somewhat.

“A door that could open by itself. A magic door? Is Mister Black Knight a Magus?” Lillie came out from behind me before looking at me with her pure heterochronic eyes.

Magus? What is this girl talking about? Did she read a lot of Fantasy books or something? Unpleasant feeling crept my skin when the word Magus was mentioned but then dismissed it entirely.

“Don’t call me Mister Black Knight, my name is Victor Petard Asterisk, just call me Victor or whatever.” Clarified me, bothered by that.

“Yes~!”

Afterward, we entered the ship. As it was an environment free of foreign bacteria, I decided to take off my smart helmet for fresh air. I also had adjusted the artificial gravity to become 2G so as not to surprise Lillie.

Lillie’s eyes opened wide upon seeing my face before exclaiming, “Bi-big brother Victor is so young! Lillie thought that big brother is a much older man.”

B-brother? It feels weird being called a big brother… Although I’m indeed older...

I shook my head before correcting her, “Just call me Victor… No need to add big brother to it.”

“Okay…”

As the people that live in my era had a long lifespan. A difference of 10 or so years wasn't that significant; thereby, making the use of brother and sister became obscure somewhat unless he and she were blood-related.

Subsequently, we traveled around the ship. Lillie was giving a curious look all over the place while I was explaining them. Since the translation also embedded in my suit, I could still somehow communicate with her. Finally, we reached the empty living quarters of the ship.

“Your room is over there; you should take a break." I pointed at one of the rooms beside my room before continuing, "My room was right beside you, so if you need anything, you could just tell me.”

“Uh-huh~," Lillie then nodded to me before going into the room.

Now then, it’s time to handle the knights. I had had the drone clear the trace leading to the ship. Although it wasn’t a drone robot like the one used in the Blue Moon Station, it was still capable to clean a trace at least.

But there was no guarantee that they won’t find us. I need to take some precautions just to be safe.

And just like that, I went to the control room to do the did.

Meanwhile, somewhere inside the dense forest, a group of fifteen knights were gathering in the middle of a small camp’s fireplace while grumbling.

“Where the hell is that kid?" One of the knights sitting above a log had an expression of irritates while throwing a plank of wood into the fire.

“Also, where are those five fools anyway?" A knight named Erick inquired as he leaned into a tree.

A hoarse voice could be heard coming out from a knight not far from him, “Robert and the others are probably fooling around somewhere.”

“Pfthh… He was always fooling around, isn't he? I remember seeing him dancing madly and trying to court a little kid after getting drunk somewhere.” Laughed one other knight that was making a meal.

“”Hahaha… True!””

Suddenly, while the knights were laughing and chatting, the feeling of suppression pervaded over them as a shadow came out behind the bushes.
