'Ugh...wasn't I dead? Why does my body hurt still?' Tian Long complained as he felt soreness course through him.

'Where am I?' he thought before opening his tightly-closed eyes, only to see a wooden ceiling of a seemingly dilapidated house.

Wondering where he was, he tried to move his body only to find it futile the next moment.

'...what the, what's going on?'

Tian Long summoned the utmost strength he could muster to move his body yet it was useless in the end. Even after repeatedly trying, everything was ineffective as he could only 'look' up at the crude ceiling crafted from wood.

However, the next moment, his supposed immovable 'body' seemed to twitch for a few seconds before it rose up.

'What's going on now? Why's my body moving now when I'm not telling it to, unlike earlier?' he thought in his head before hearing a rough, grating voice.

"Bastard Tian Long! You still have the gall to sleep?! WAKE THE HELL UP!" the voice roared as Tian Long's vision shifted to a figure standing by the door.

In his view, Tian Long saw a young man that seemed to be the same age as him, wearing a strange attire which should've been the trend back in ancient times.

'Who are you?' he asked in his head yet no voice seemed to escape his mouth.

However, he felt rage build up within him as 'he' stared at the young man that had an expression full of disdain.

"Are you not getting up?!" the guest shouted. "Do you want a beating before getting up, huh?" as he said those words, a strange formless and colorless aura seemed to gather around the young man's fist as he stared at 'Tian Long'.

'A cultivator?' Tian Long thought only to feel 'his' body prop itself up before standing up next to the bed.

"Tsk tsk, you really should resist more you waste." mocked the young man as he withdrew his fist. "That way I could've gifted you a punch and a kick or something."

"Follow me, the madam wants to see you," he said before turning around and stepping out of the door.

At that moment, the scene in Tian Long's eyes changed as images and episodes flashed by his eyes, one after another.

He 'saw' a kid named Tian Long, standing in the middle of numerous children the same age as him, mocking him while throwing stones and dirt at the same time.

The scene seemed to be a mirage as it changed, and this time, the Tian Long who was a kid a few moments ago, was now a teenager.

He 'saw' the teen holding a wooden spear that was nearly two meters long in his hand as he hacked and swung it in the air despite that thin body of his.

Following that scene, it changed once more as a picture of two youths standing and facing each other appeared.

In 'his' eyes, he saw Tian Long who had already matured despite still being a teenager, on a stand-off against another youth with an extraordinary appearance and temperament. They were standing on an incredibly large platform, which seemed to be akin to an arena, with countless figures in all directions watching them while shouting, chanting, and cheering.

The youth's eyes were resplendently bright that one couldn't help but be lost within it while his long black hair fluttered along with the wind gracefully. The aura radiating from him was extraordinary and dazzling—it would only take one look to figure out that this youth was a proud son of the heavens, a genius amongst geniuses.

"Tian Long." the youth uttered slowly, his handsome face clearly indifferent. "I'll give you one last chance, kneel and surrender in defeat, and I'll let you live."

At that moment, for the first time, 'Tian Long' heard a familiar voice drifting from him as 'he' stared at the young man with a sword before him.

"Tian Yi, " Tian Long called out. "I've always been a quiet person. I've never once desired the seat of the clan leader, yet you've provoked me countless of times and even broke off the friendship we had since childhood for the sake of that damned position."

"INSOLENCE!" a voice roared from afar, shaking the whole platform and the spectators of the battle. Nearly everyone in the scene was forced to cover their ears and close their eyes as the mere vibration and echo of the voice shook their entire being, their blood churning unstably.

Being the target of the earth-shaking voice, Tian Long coughed out blood and his face paled, yet his gaze remained resolute and his mind indomitable as he ignored the roaring voice.

Looking at the eyes of his former friend and supposed brother, Tian Long slowly said. "My heart and will has never wavered before, and even now, I have no plans to contest against you for the seat."

As he said his words, he strode forward, his momentum unstoppable. "However, I also have a limit." at that moment, an obsidian-colored spear appeared in his hand, transforming his previously calm and peaceful aura to that of a ferocious dragon's.

His snow-white robe fluttered in the wind as a formless airflow circulated around him. "Now that we're both at the peak of Noble Plane, before the eyes of the countless people here and before the eyes of the entire Tian clan, I'll crush and trample you under my feet, once and for all."

Staring at his former friend, Tian Yi couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration and respect. Everything about Tian Long was perfect, be it his unwavering dao heart, his peerless talent, and his unique temperament, everything was perfect, except for one thing.

Glaring at Tian Long's scarred and disfigured face that he was the cause of, Tian Yi remembered for a moment, he remembered the unparalleled looks of this younger brother of his. He remembered that beyond flawless appearance that he had admired and was envious of, that was also now long-gone.

At that moment, Tian Yi clenched the hilt of his sword and rushed towards Tian Long, his Noble Will gathering around him like a storm. Gale winds formed dozens of meters around him, sharp enough to cut steel and destroy stones.

On Tian Long's side, resounding crackles of thunder reverberated as lightning flared all over, the wind and clouds churned as if a thunderstorm was about to come.

Soaring to the air, Tian Long pointed the black spear towards the incoming figure and roared. "COME!"

...

But at that moment, the scene in 'Tian Long's' eyes changed once more, leaving him hanging in anticipation for the fight.

'So, I'm watching someone else's memories, huh.' he thought as he surmised everything that he had experienced so far.

So it seems that the mythical Truck-kun had successfully sent me to another world.

As the former scene of the battle dissolved, the episode then changed as a bloodied figure appeared in his vision.

Kneeling on one knee, this figure's clothes were in tatters as he hugged his seemingly dislocated right arm. Blood dripped down from the corner of his lips, his arms, and pretty much his entire body, dying the ground crimson.

However, despite so, Tian Long's eyes remained unyielding as he stared at Tian Yi who was standing in front of him while being surrounded by a few elderly people on his side. But these old ones were different from weak and unsteady old people. While their hairs were indeed white and their faces full of wrinkles, their cheeks were rosy and their eyes were full of vitality as they glared at the kneeling Tian Long. Powerful auras emanated from them suggesting their high cultivation realm.

"So what if you have peerless talents? So what if you're an unparalleled genius that was supposed to have loomed over his entire generation? Those words are nothing but a joke now that you're unable to cultivate." Tian Yi said ruthlessly, stabbing sharp daggers onto Tian Long's heart.

He continued mockingly. "As for your father? So what if he's one of the strongest people in the Tian clan? He's trapped in the Ancient Dragon Realm alongside your mother, do you think they'll be able to come back? And even if they do, what can they do against me and my parents, who has the support of the entire Tian clan?"

Sparing Tian Long one last glance, he laughed in disdain as he crouched down and stared at the bloodied and disfigured face. "Remember this face of mine when you get to the afterlife and tell them that I, Tian Yi, sent you there." Chuckling one last time, he then turned around and ordered. "Dispose of him!"

Without sparing another glance at his supposed brother, under Tian Long's eyes that were full of vengeance, Tian Yi walked away alongside the clan's elders as the surrounding guards encircled the fatally injured Tian Long.

Crack, crack, crack!

At that moment, in 'Tian Long's' vision, it was as if the entire world was made of glass as chipped and cracked lines appeared on space itself; it was as if reality itself were breaking as fragments of space fell apart, leaving an opening for the pitch-black void.
