Richard Murphy was a handsome young man that has black hair and ruby eyes, with a body of a martial artist due to hard training and his strict diet (created by yours truly), and with his height of 6ft2, makes his presence hard to ignore (unless he wants to be). He was calmly walking home to the apartment he rented using the funds he worked for and stole-intimi-given by bullies that tried to take his money but saw the wrong their ways and wanted to apologize, which, as good civilian and definitely not a secret mastermind, he promptly forgave them, it was near the college where he got a fully payed scholarship.
Though that was from the outside, the young man is anything but calm inside.
'YES! FINALLY I GOT A SUPERPOWER! AND IT'S THE ONE I WISHED FOR!'
Richard is, although ecstatic to get the power of his dreams, still have enough reason in him to know that he can't just yell that out and give out his identity as someone with a superpower lest he wants the government on his tail. Not yet anyways.
Climbing the stairs of the apartment building to his assigned studio. Opened the door and dropped the bag that was on his shoulder to his bed and lay besides it and thinks of what he's next plan is going to be.
'alright. Step 1 get a power is complete, now I just need to make it stronger, better. I can steal powers from others without them noticing anything, which makes it a lot easier, though I don't what'll happen if I steal a mutation based power... Questions for later. Now I need to gather information about the locations of people with power, newspaper, gossips and the television here can cover that and maybe there's people with power in school, after all I just got it.'
With the plan set for tomorrow, he does the assignments and projects he can finish for the day and with closer deadlines and after that he trains, like always.

'3,4,5...' Richard counts the orbs of energy he encounters while walking through the street until he is able get a view of his college. He encountered 8 people with powers, all with different color and shape. One was light green, two with different shades of red, one was white, one was yellow, one brown, one was gold, and one blue. Three of them he managed to get close enough to get them, it was the gold, light green, and red.
The gold one gave him the power to change a small object like a rock to pure gold in exchange for a large amount of his stamina, 'the guy I stole it from probably couldn't use it to the stamina requirement'. Blue gave him the power breath underwater, 'useful if I plan to infiltrate an underwater base'. Red gave him resistance to fire up to 2000°c, 'Maybe the other red is fire, it did looked different to this red orb'.
???: Oh? Is this the guy that beat you up?
???: Yeah that's him!
While he was thinking he was stopped by 3 adults and 2 of the bullies that he sto-forgave yesterday blocked him.
Thug 1: You got a lot of nerve beating my younger brother.
Thug 2: Seems like someone should teach you a lesson!.
Thug 3: Yeah a lesson!
While this was happening he couldn't help but think 'Ah, this guys are the perfect example of thugs that gets beaten up in the comic book for extra strips'
Thug 1: What your too scared to even say anything? Well if you give us all your money and grovel to the ground we might just forgive you.
Thug 2: Yeah get to the ground and clean shoes using your tongue!
Thug 3: Yeah clean our shoes!
Richard couldn't help but laugh at how perfect their 'act' as thugs are. The thugs seeing this says-
Thug 1: Why you little shit, seems like we need to teach you some manners.
Thug 2: We'll be taking your teeth for the lesson fee!
Thug 3: Yeah lesson fee!
Thug 1 goes for a right hook on the head which Richard just tilts his head on the opposite side and counters with a liver punch on the left, knocking out the thug instantly. Silence.
Richard says with a sadistic smile "Well if you guys really want to give me your wallet then I won't say no"

He got enough money to pay for a year on rent on his apartment while buying better food for his diet, 'good haul if say so myself, though it's kinda useless due to a certain power, but whatever.
Walking to the halls he's stared by fellow students with fear and awe.
???: Hey I just heard that guy knocked out 3 adult and stole their wallet and intimidated our classmate to give him their money.
???: Really? Then the rumor that the reason why he's the top student is because he threatened the teachers must true.
???: Yeah must be, why does the principal keeps silent about this and not just expel him?
???: Yeah that orphan is nothing but trouble.
Hearing the conversation he rolls his eyes and thinks 'please, if you think something that childish of a harassment is enough to make me mad and punch you to give you a guys a reason for me to get expelled then it's pathetic, it also helps that teachers understand that I'm usually not the one that throw punches first, most of all I didn't steal the wallet of the adults, I'm just borrowing them, and our classmate is just asking for forgiveness for asking for trouble'.
The classes went normally as it should.

Walking around to the places he found those with powers and if they're outside he'll be taking it, if not then better luck next time, after all, he has all the time in the world...

He got the white, light green, red, and brown on his little excursion, of course without any of them finding out that he took them. He couldn't find the one that had the yellow energy, so he'll just try to get it tomorrow. The white one was an accumulation power, from what he could tell there was no limit just that it needed time to be powerful, if he uses it now he'll only get stronger about 1.1x of his base and it'll deplete his stamina to recharge the power but can't charge up the power 'but still, quite powerful'. The red was the fire one, as he had guessed, it has resistance to fire of 100°c so the owner could barely even use it and would even thank him for removing such a liability of a power. Light green was a power that can control plant by touching it and can make it grow using your stamina. Brown let's him change the earth below him, minor changes but it's quite wonderful power on tripping someone or ruining their stances.
'hmm, can I combine them?' as he thinks of that energy orbs suddenly appear in front of him, the powers that he stole. He smiles at this and combines the lighter and more solid red orb and the one the looks like a flame. He feels a change, he feels warmer but it wasn't bad. Then it stops, the orbs he combined now looks like blue solid flame, he could feel the changes, the flames it could resist and release is now at 2500°c - 3000°c.
Richard smiles at this, then he turns to the other orbs, specifically the green and earth, and combines them, he felt a change to his sorroundings, the energy orb now looks different, it now looks like a tiny plant was sprouting on the earth, if that wasn't obvious he could feel what was different, as long as he was touching the ground he could make plant and make it grow and shrivel it, that includes the existing plants, the range is 200 meters.
