When Yang Wei woke, she was on a large, soft bed.

The light was dim, with only a little white morning light seeping in through the thick curtains. Yang Wei frowned; a strange surrounding. Her head felt dully painful.

Her ears caught the sound of light breathing, and turning her head, she caught sight of a very handsome man lying beside her. At this moment emotion returned to her, chiefly horror, and the warm weight on her chest almost made her collapse.

It was this man's hand!

... He even squeezed twice!

Unable to hold back the scream already rushing from her throat, Yang Wei kicked the man off the bed.

Qi Xiao Yan sat up from the floor, hand over his head. His forehead puckered.

"What are you doing?"

That cold, somewhat impatient voice sounded in the room like the touch of a piano, and for just a moment Yang Wei felt a touch of embarrassment. Although this man was impeccable, perfect in both appearance and sound, Yang Wei, who had just had her chest attacked in the wee hours of the morning, had no time to appreciate these sorts of things.

"Who are you? Why are you sleeping with me?!"

Her questioning made Qi Xiao Yan’s brows furrow even more. Squinting a little, he seemed to be examining her. “We've been married two years, and you're only now asking why I'm sleeping with you?"

"Married?!" These words made Yang Wei blow up. "Don't think being handsome allows you to confuse me like this! I'm just 16 this year, I haven't even gotten my ID processed yet, how can I be married?!"

Qi Xiao Yan: "..."

One of the two of them must still not be fully awake.

He pulled out Yang Wei’s passport and ID card from the suitcase, and together with yesterday's newspaper, threw the lot on top of her. “You go ahead and count how old you are this year.”

Yang Wei fixed him with a suspicious gaze, taking the ID card and looking at it. The date of birth was correct, so she opened up the newspaper and checked the date ...... then collapsed again. "Oh my God!!! How could I possibly be 25?! I just went to sleep and now I'm 10 years older!!"

"More accurately, 9 years older.” Watching her calmly, Qi Xiao Yan plunged another knife in. “Also, we have a six-month-old son.”

Yang Wei's hands flew to her face and she gasped in horror. Then she fell back onto the bed with a smack.

Qi Xiao Yan decided to give her a little time to accept this cruel reality and went to go wash up in the bathroom. When he emerged, Yang Wei was still lying on the sheets with the distinct look of a soul having departed.

He put away her documents. Standing beside the bed, he asked, "Still shocked? If you are, then go wash. I called for breakfast."

Yang Wei turned her head and gazed at him silently for a while. Then, slowly, she moved her feet to the ground, and still like a wandering soul, floated into the bathroom.

By the time she got out, breakfast had already arrived. Going to the balcony, Yang Wei saw a hearty Western breakfast laid out on the table. Her state of mind finally warmed a little. Sitting down on the chair opposite Qi Xiao Yan, she licked her lips and asked, "Can I eat this sandwich?"

Qi Xiao Yan looked up and pushed the sandwich over.

"Thank you." Yang Wei happily picked up the sandwich and chewed. Wind blew in from the sea, and looking out at the sapphire horizon, she decided to find some topic to talk about with the unsmiling man in front of her.

"Are we here for a holiday?"

"Honeymoon."

"Oh, what's your name? What do you do?"

Qi Xiao Yan put down the orange juice in his hand, his eyes as sharp as blades. Although the volleyball last night had stunned her, he had examined her carefully afterward. There had only been a small bump. Anyway, a concussion wouldn't be producing this sort of symptom.

Then was this some new game she was playing on a whim? Qi Xiao Yan licked his lips. Well, if she wanted to play, he didn't mind playing along.

"My name is Qi Xiao Yan. I'm a university professor of mathematics."

Yang Wei choked on the sandwich in her mouth. "A Professor of Mathematics? Are you seriously saying that I'm gonna marry a math professor in the future? No way! I only got a 73 on last week's midterm! Ever since I was a kid I've hated math teachers!”

Qi Xiao Yan was quite calm in the face of this rhetoric. “Did you bring the math paper? Maybe I can help you with the questions.”

Yang Wei pursed her lips. "I stuffed it into the desk. I didn't dare take it home for my dad to sign."

"That's no problem. I can help you do a test paper later, then tutor you according to your level."

"...How can I bother you like that when this is the first time we've met?"

"It's no trouble at all. Don't you still have to take the college entrance examination?"

Yang Wei: "..."

Didn't you say you were here on your honeymoon? How did the subject seamlessly turn to math tutoring?

Yang Wei sadly finished eating breakfast. Then she was called over by Qi Xiao Yan.

"What?" Subconsciously, she kept a certain distance from him, but he merely glanced at her before pulling her into her arms.

The refreshing smell of men's aftershave lingered in her nose, and she held her breath nervously. Qi Xiao Yan sifted through the black hair on her head and carefully examined her injury.

The lump was already a lot smaller compared to last night. Letting go of Yang Wei, he asked, "Do you have a headache?"

Yang Wei shook her head.

“Dizziness? Nausea?”

Another shake.

A little relieved, Qi Xiao Yan told her, "You were hit by a volleyball last night."

Her eyes widened in surprise. "I was just hit by volleyball in PE yesterday... Ah! I get it now! The volleyball hit was the turning point! I switched places in timewith the other me who got hit!"

Qi Xiao Yan: "..."

He didn't want to reply.

But Yang Wei was obviously excited about this new discovery. "Oh, and I forgot to ask, what am I doing now? Am I a housewife?"

"You... are a star. Every day, people gossip about you and all sorts of little fresh meat," Qi Xiao Yan told her, very calmly.

Yang Wei jumped in happiness. "Really? Am I seriously that famous? Have I worked with Mo Zhen?!"

Qi Xiao Yan: "..."

O ho ho, what beautiful thoughts.

He pulled out the room card and took Yang Wei out the door. As if she was at the beach for the very first time, she was as excited as a little alpaca.1Again with the alpacas! Did I miss out on some sort of Chinese alpaca culture by growing up in SEA?? ;_;

There were still gorgeous girls in bikinis playing beach volleyball by the sea, and Qi Xiao Yan subconsciously drew Yang Wei closer protectively. A beautiful woman with golden brown hair seemed to recognize him, running up to talk to them.

Yang Wei shrank back a little nervously, afraid that this beautiful woman would suddenly talk to her.

Then the beautiful woman really did talk to her.

She said a lot. Yang Wei made out "sorry" and "are you ok?". Swallowing, she thought to herself that this was a good opportunity to practice her oral English. She had to grasp it!

So she replied eagerly, "I, san-kee yuu~"

The expression on the woman's face changed subtly. She waved goodbye to them, and Qi Xiao Yan continued pulling Yang Wei along the beach.

"Didn't you live abroad in elementary school? Why are you so nervous when talking to foreigners?"

"I lived in a non-English speaking country." She looked up at him, "But you're so fluent!"

"I lived in an English-speaking country for five years."

Curiously, she asked, "You studied abroad?"

"Un. For my PhD."

Her eyes widened. "You don't look old at all. Are all university professors as young as you?"

"I just started reading earlier."

"When did you start college?"

"14. "

Yang Wei: "..."

It was embarrassing that she was still a freshman at the age of 16!

Her embarrassment lasted until she saw someone sitting on the beach, taking in the brisk breeze and eating watermelon. Her mouth suddenly watering, she turned to Qi Xiao Yan and asked, "Can we also buy a watermelon?"

"Un."

Yang Wei went to buy watermelon together with Qi Xiao Yan, specifically asking not to have it cut . Finding a wooden stick, she had Qi Xiao Yan hold the watermelon and walk with her back to the beach.

Putting the watermelon on the beach, Yang Wei took the silk scarf off her neck. She had put it on that morning upon looking in the mirror and discovering the many red spots there.

"What do you want to do?" Qi Xiao Yan asked, watching her folding the scarf into layers and furrowing his brow a little.

"Break the watermelon, of course! How can you not play this at the beach?!"

She walked ten steps forward, then turned her back and covered her eyes with the silk scarf. "You guide me!"

Turning around three times, she held the stick in her hands and walked diagonally in the direction of the watermelon.

"A bit more to the left, now more to the right."

Qi Xiao Yan stood on the side, directing her forward. The sun was just right at this moment in time, wrapping her in a hazy layer of warm light.

She was currently only wearing a white shirt, and her underwear could be seen under the transparent fabric. Her light blue jean shorts, were almost covered by her shirt, and her legs were long and fair. As she stepped, golden sand scattered over her sandals. The sea breeze raised her dark hair in the air, and the covering of her eyes under the silk scarf was a temptation.

Qi Xiao Yan's Adam's apple worked a little. His voice came out a little rusty, "Now left, now straight..."

Yang Wei walked straight into his arms. Qi Xiao Yan wound one arm about her waist, and with the other, pulled away the stick, throwing it aside.

Taken aback, Yang Wei attempted to tear off the scarf over her eyes, but her hands were caught tightly.

Qi Xiao Yan embraced her, bowed his head, and kissed her on her lips.

The waves beat upon the shore, wetting their feet, and the salty sea breeze blew their hair over their faces.

But none of these things could stop him.

Because Yang Wei couldn't see, the sensation on her lips seemed to be magnified by ten. When his tongue swept in, she couldn't help but tremble.

Who knew how long the kiss lasted before it ended with their disordered breathing.

Qi Xiao Yan breathed hard, pulling the scarf back from Yang Wei’s eyes.

Her cheeks were rosy and her eyes bright, enough to move the heart. He cupped the back of her head and laid a kiss at the corners of her eyes, then whispered, "Darling, had enough fun?"

Yang Wei's heart pounded. Looking at the man in front of her, she panted, "What?"

Qi Xiao Yan met her eyes, then kissed her again before letting her go. Regaining her breath, Yang Wei picked up the wooden stick on the ground, and handed it over. "Your turn."

Taking the stick, he walked ten paces away. Yang Wei went up on tiptoe to help him tie the silk scarf, then clapped her hands. "Alright, turn three times in place!"

Qi Xiao Yan did so, then without waiting for her command, marched straight to the watermelon, and brought down his sword.

The watermelon popped like popcorn.

Yang Wei: "..."

With this sort of spatial awareness, Professor Qi could maybe be a pilot.

Qi Xiao Yan loosened the silk scarf on his eyes, his movements desterous and neat. "You can go ahead and eat."

Yang Wei padded silently forward, picked up a smallish piece of watermelon and began chewing.

That afternoon, Yang Wei pestered Qi Xiao Yan into snorkeling and surfing, and generally had a great time. Finally, she got tired of playing in the evening and after dinner, went back to the hotel and dropped into a deep sleep near to unconsciousness.

When she opened her eyes again, the sky was completely dark. Qi Xiao Yan was gone. Wandering around in bare feet, Yang Wei eventually heard some movement in the bathroom.

She pressed her ear to the door. The sound of running water made her blush.

Eyes darting about quickly, she hurriedly lay back down.

After a while, Qi Xiao Yan made his way out of the bathroom, drying his hair, and looked Yang Wei lying prone like a corpse. "Go take a shower when you wake up."

Yang Wei duly climbed out of bed to take her shower, coming out clad only in a long white shirt that only barely covered her thighs.

Qi Xiao Yan's eyes darkened. Standing to one side, Yang Wei told him in a faltering manner, "You, you go to sleep on the sofa."

"Why?"

"Because, although we're husband and wife, my soul right now is just a 16-year-old high school student, and men and women should have a certain distance!”

Qi Xiao Yan looked at her up and down, his eyes lingering on her long legs. "Then why are you dressed like that?"

"Because I couldn't find any other clothes, and anyway, I'm going to be sleeping under the quilt. First, get off the bed!"

Qi Xiao Yan really did get off obediently, somewhat surprising her. He walked to Yang Wei and looked down at her. She inadvertantly covered her key parts.

"Do you really not remember?"

Qi Xiao Yan had a deep voice, like that of the host of a midnight radio station with a special sexy broadcast. Yang Wei nodded. Then she heard him chuckle, "Then I'll help you remember."

Before those words had fallen, he had already begun kissing her.

Though Yang Wei had originally intended to struggle, her hands were fixed in place and she could only passively accept. When he was done kissing, he let go of her rosy lips. "Remember anything now?"

Yang Wei shook her head, panting.

Qi Xiao Yan hooked up one side of his mouth, reached under her thin shirt with one hand, wrapped it around a breast, and squeezed. "What about now?"

Not knowing whether to be angry or embarrassed, Yang Wei yelped, "You rogue! Not even letting off a high school student! Shameless!"

Quite casually, Qi Xiao Yan replied, "You're thick-skinned enough to say that you're a high school student, what do I have to be ashamed of?"

Yang Wei saw him lean back down and raised her voice, "What do you think you're doing!"

Qi Xiao Yan merely looked at her and said, "Exercising my husbandly rights."

Under this arrogant manner, Yang Wei was unable to fight back and could finally only cry out his name in humiliation.

After having thoroughly eaten and wiped his mouth clean, Qi Xiao Yan held her in his arms, mouth still plastered with a satisfied smile. "Darling, this time travel game is pretty interesting. You can play it again in the future."

Yang Wei: "....."

She will never play again!

She looked up at his pretty chin and asked, "When did you find out?"

"Right at the beginning."

Yang Wei curled her lips in disdain. "If I really didn't remember, what would you do?"

His eyelashes flickered, then he opened his eyes to stare at her. "If you really dare forget, I'll remind you using precisely this method."

Yang Wei: "..."

Shameless people really were the strongest under the heavens.

Having had a long day, both of them were tired and fell asleep quickly.

When Yang Wei woke the next morning, she saw Qi Xiao Yan sitting next to her, holding his head in his hands, inexplicably distressed.

Her brows drew together and she sat up and looked at him. “Curly-bae, what's wrong?”

Qi Xiao Yan heard her voice and looked at her sideways. There was a hint of confusion and incomprehension in his obsidian eyes. "Who are you?"

Yang Wei: ".................."

LOL at this surprisingly cute interlude!

Also: A few weeks ago, my boyfriend proposed! I'm so thrilled. ^-^

However, he has been insisting that I'm the only one who's engaged because he never got a ring, which is of course absolutely unfair.

So now I have to propose, too.
