Everyday knives 1 - 20 silver coins. People use this all the time but cutting through earth mana infused flesh damages the blade every time.  The mana does dissipate over time and as you cook it since you use fire or water but it still grinds down the knives. This means that you have to sharpen it after every use and buy another one every week, unless you have those high quality knives that have runic inscriptions and all kind of enchantments.

Bladed weapons 10 - 20 silver coins. These are rarely use bladed weapons so the price is higher. As these kind of weapons aren't used that often, they are often left gathering dust without being sold so it's dead weight.

Impact weapons 20 - 30 silver coins. The very bread and butter of traveling outside. As most monsters have a hard shell, you need weapons of this type to actually break through it. They are more expensive than the rare bladed weapons since its quality are better and you rely on it with your life, not to mention how blacksmiths make it all the time so research and improvements on it are plenty.

Potions 10 - 30 silver coins. Cheap stuff that you can do without. There are some that should be useful but you can go through life without even using it.

These are pretty much the normal prices according to the note chatterbox listed down. These are normal level without enchantment and runes so I can use it as base.

"Ah, it's finally over. I used up a lot of money. We still have a bit of time before curfew, want to stroll around town?"
"No thanks, I want to check on the things I bought. I can't do anything about some stuff I bought on the mystic section but I can see if the mana expanding bag is working."
"He gave you a mana expanding bag as an add on? We don't have much use for it though. If you train your body enough then you can beat any mage."
"I'll go on ahead, you have fun chatterbox. How about you victor?"
"I'm going to go around with chatterbox, sitting all afternoon made my body stiff. I want to move around some more, and I still to buy that carving set I promised you too."
"Let's go victor, we can go everywhere except the red light district. I still need to sort out my feelings away from that. At the end maybe we can have fun drinking at a tavern too."
"Ok, you two have fun, we don't have school tomorrow so go ahead and don't hold back."

I don't feel like celebrating today, I just gambled on a cheap investment and I want to check if it paid off. I don't gamble but since it's so cheap I might as well take my chances. I'll try the contact lense first since I am sure it would break first. The mana recovery ring is next but how exactly can I test it? I don't have a good way to quantify my mana since I don't have an interface. I'll figure it out later.

"Welcome back, how was the auction?"
"Good afternoon or should I say Good evening Dorm Manager Gau. The sun just went down. The auction was a little boring since I don't have any money. Those things are the enjoyment of the rich afterall."
"Hahaha, that is the idea of it. It is also a show of fame for those who have their wares put up there. Aim high young dwarf, when you make something amazingly great then put it up for auction. The auction house will appraise it for free and people will know of your work so there is nothing bad about it. Be careful though, if you send numerous works with none that pass their standard then you might be forbidden for a long time."
"I see, well I'm off to get some rest. It has been a long day after all. Thank you for the hard work Dorm Manager Gau."
"Yeah, Go and get some rest. It's an off day tomorrow so go out and enjoy. It's important for students to have fun from time to time or they burn out. Don't get in too much trouble."

Ah, talking to him is still stifling. I have to mind my words and I have to look like I am having a good friendly time. If only I didn't need to stay here and he is not stronger than me then I won't have to put up with this.

However, he does make a point. The auction house is a good way to establish my fame. If I had one of my works put up there then the auction house will be the guarantor of my work since it would have to pass their quality check. I also don't have to worry about people not noticing my work since it would be put up the stage along with other famous works.

Home sweet room. My room is as plain as ever, the only thing different is a few new shirts and pants in the closet. Sewing is apparently the work for the second year of the blacksmith course along with armour making. The instructor didn't give me a couple sets of clothes but taught me how to do it myself, thanks to that I now have 3 new sets of rough made clothes. It's better than nothing though, I don't want to use money to buy clothes either since I plan to craft armour for everyday wear. I won't get the dwarven life if I don't wear an armour everyday. It might not be practical or it may not be true but that is how I envisioned it. I am pretty sure the people that got transported here already infused so much foreign culture that the norm got changed so all the preconception I have about how races are portrayed should not be relevant anymore.

Let's test the mana recover tool first, since its the one that I am sure it won't kill me or inflict who knows what kind of curse to me. The problem is how to check which type it is and how much it adds to my recovery.

Oh, wait. I remember I still have the contact lense. I was going to check it first but let's save that for last since that is basically a memento of my old world. Even if the person who created it added something to the lense, I don't want to use something someone placed on their eye without cleaning it first.

Could I use normal water to clean the contact lense? If this was my old world then I could just hop to a drugstore and buy some kind of cleaning solution for it. They might sell it there, I don't think contact lense cleaner is exclusive to optometrist. I'll try to check on the bombing alchemist later tonight, I can just order him to make a cleaning solution. He may be mischievous and crazy but all alchemist here would not try to fake an order. It's the first lesson they have on alchemy classes, 'Never make a defective potion in place of the customer's order. If you don't like a customer then refuse or throw acid potions at their face but never fake an order.' or something like that. We have the same thing but a blacksmiths version, it's part of a maker's integrity. If we make something, we put our all and if we don't like something then we hate it with our all. It might be the dwarven grudge culture seeping through from the hero's culture interference. They might forget some parts of it but I guess that part can't be forgotten. It doesn't apply now since more than dwarfs are learning in this school now so they changed some stuff.

For this mana recovery ring, maybe I could keep using basic elementary wind magic until I run out of mana then try it wearing the ring. I have a body clock so I can accurately measure it too. The problem is I can only get guess on the amount of recovery quantity but I don't know which type this accessory would be. To be able to know if it's the one that scales then I need to increase my mana a lot and check the amount again if it's the same amount when I first tested it. If it got lesser then the type I have is the flat quantity not the scaling type.

Then let's start, the only effect of my elementary wind magic is to give a small breeze. I don't want to blow dust into my room so as much as a good electric fan wind I should project my wind out the window.

[Wind]

Last time I used my magic until I ran out of mana is when I was still working for the princess. I just learned magic and she challenged me to a competition. I can't even remember on what kind of competition it was since the princess challenged me all the time in different kinds of competition just to amuse herself. I won the first few times including the magic one but every time I won she made me work to the bone. Like the time with magic, she would say something like 'Amazing Sebastian, You are really amazing. Since you are so much better at it than I, why don't you use it to blow me a cool breeze at our picnic this afternoon.' or 'Sebastian, I hear all the laundry magicians got sick and couldn't do their work. I knew you are so good at magic so I volunteered you to help them'. It helped me increase my magic but I would rather not act as a portable fan of some stuck up spoiled princess if possible. I learned that the princess can't handle a loss well so I learned the art of losing without making it obvious after a few failures after I discovered that.

It's a good thing [Basic Element Mastery] skills are active as long as you keep channeling mana into it, not like those skills like [Sharpening] where you have a set of actions needed to use it. I can't imagine rubbing my fingers on a metal edge for this long. Even if it's a good thing, doing this for this long is getting boring. It should be at this point that normal basketball players start trying to do trick shots and trick magic I shall do. I can't see how the wind exactly moves so I need to add some things to show me if it's moving the way I want it to. The ideal thing to add would be leaves or flower petals but I don't have it in my room. I have paper but I don't want to waste good paper and it's a giant pain to clean it up.

Actually, forget that. If I do those kinds of tricks I would change the output of my mana. This kind of steady and boring [Wind] is fine for my experiment, I would practice tricks some other time. I could do that kind of trick for sweeping my room for dust, like a really amazing breeze that only sweeps up dust without disturbing anything else and by that logic maybe I could use the same magic to do laundry.

Finally exhausted, it took 5 hours 23 minutes and 39 seconds of continuous stream of medium wind magic to exhaust my mana. The next step is to use the ring and do the same thing while wearing the mana recovery ring time myself again and take a percentage on how much longer I could use magic. My mana should have raised a bit because of what I did so a +-3% error range should be included in my final evaluation.

I drained my mana so I will do it tomorrow night, for now. Good night stars in the sky. Maybe someday I could forge some kind of weapon with asteroid metal.
