A new day and another history lesson. I hate compulsory classes that I would only need to know in a test. I know you need to learn from the past because they established the foundation and all but when a hero from another world destroys that foundation by bringing modern technology, all that history the ancestors made becomes outdated.

There is a bit of a positive side to all this, and that is the tidbits of trivia in being a dwarf. As someone from the modern world, my new fantasy body is completely foreign to me so knowing that being a dwarf gives me a bit of night vision, a small boost in craftsmanship gain, and an increase in strength and defense is a really great thing. The way they explained it is a bit different like 'the rocks shares it's sight in the deepest of tunnels', 'the gods gifted dwarven kind with knowledge of every craft', and 'living our lives carrying rock and ore made the future generation stronger'.

The last one is surely from the theory of evolution, however the first two can't be proven to be true but I can attest that the craftsmanship bit is real since I have never tried blacksmithing in my previous life and I reached a respectable level in the short time I learned. I also gain some insights from time to time too, it might be the hero correction but if I compare it when I was learning magic, when I was human, it is way too fast. I can't test the night vision though, since I already acquired the skill before.

It's nice to know about it especially since those things don't show up in the status card. I limited myself with blacksmithing since I thought it would take a lot of time to master but with that craftsmanship bonus then I might gander in runes and enchantments. I would be a super master that can forge weapons to defeat a certain noob gamer god who didn't finish setting up the system of this world!

"Welcome back youngsters, Congratulations on finishing your lessons of our history. I understand that it is not a very popular topic with you young ones, I am sure you would all rather 'hang out' and 'smack down' with your fellow 'peeps'. However, history is the evidence of where we are from, where we begun and where we learned. Congratulations on completing your history requirements for the whole school years, I am sure it has been a long two months for you all but I praise you for getting through it. In those three months that you have 'chilled out' in the classroom, you have all completed all the necessary lessons needed for your whole course. Now we will start with another requirement to graduate, which is [Holy Magic]."

There is nothing more weird than an older teacher trying to use 'hip' talk to their students, especially if they use the previous generations 'lingo'. Does this kind of approach even work?

"Hey, victor."
"No, I won't point it out again. Don't look at me like that brill. I won't go through that again."

No good, huh. Considering how the teacher tried to 'connect' with him on a 'bro' level, I understand his aversion to trying to make the teacher to speak normally. I do want the teacher to talk normally but I want to see that comedy routine they did again. From a simple 'teacher please talk normally' it snowballed until every single one of my classmates stopped talking and paid attention to his lessons. The ones who tried to ignore and look away were called out and they were so unnerved by how the teacher was talking that they too were talking in 'hip talk'. 'Teacher, I think the 'badies' were looking to 'coolify' their 'hang out' by making 'ally bros' with the rival group.'

Yeah, no one is ever brave enough to interrupt this teacher when he teaches lessons.

"Holy magic is a way to cleanse ourselves and honour our ancestors every time we dive into the mountain. Each town is built near a mountain or crevice where we mine our metals for our everyday needs. To fight earth magic reinforced monsters, to fortify our walls, and to build our machines."

At least he switches back to normal when he explains his lessons. He only uses that 'hip talk' when he ask us questions and wants to engage us into the lessons.

"We use holy magic as a reinforcement magic. We clad ourselves in it, it strengthens our recovery, boost our stamina, clean ourselves and disguise our aura. Most of the people who venture into the mines are miners to this is not only a necessary skill to learn as far as traditions go, it also boost their efficiency and safety inside the mine."

well that is a useful skill to have. If I have that couldn't I boost my fighting skills. I imagine something like a super soldier who can fight no matter how much they are wounded because it heals right away. I already have a passive stamina boost but having another one is not really bad.

"Some crafters also use it during their crafting sessions to not only boost their concentration and create works that are good enough to offer to the gods. Every legendary and mythological quality weapons that have ever been made in our continent are made while maintaining a high level holy magic in effect by its makers."

I think that is only because making that level of an item requires a long time and most crafters faint before finishing an item of such a level. The cleansing effect is also a nice to have since it could clean every part of the item at the same time as you are working on it. For a blacksmith it means no slag on the knife, no impurity on the metal and no small dirt tucked in a small corner of the construction. I need to learn this.

"I will now teach you how to acquire the [Basic Holy Magic] skill. The skill gets stronger as you use it. The skill only has one type of magic on it that we know of and that is [Holy Armour]. As long as you activate it then you will have the effect that I mentioned before. The stronger the skill the stronger the effect. There is a legend that you can evolve the skill into [Intermediate Holy Magic] but the condition is unknown as of yet. The elders have assigned a reward for those who discovered the evolution requirements so you the next generation have a turn to be the new history. Work hard to be the new legend of the future generations."

After all that suspense, you mean to tell me that we only get to learn up until the basic mastery? The UI here is so bad that I think the previous heroes should have taken care of it first when they came here instead of popularizing the hamburger.

Looks like I need to add this to the list of experiments along with that 'armoury of the gods', prototype mana expanding device and that contact lense. I forgot about that contact lense, I better check up on the cleaning solution that I ordered from that bomb alchemist. He should be done in creating that after three months. I forgot about him since he stopped bombing me but that may be because he is busy making that cleaning solution I ordered.

"Are there anyone who aspires to be a miner here? If you have a job that has a need to go inside the mines or any kind of journey into the earth then I recommend practicing the [Holy Magic] extra hard. As long as you clad yourselves with holy magic then your aura will blend with the atmosphere as a 'blank spot'. It's not to the level of [Dark Magic] that can make you blend in the shadows but it will keep the golems away from you. They don't have any way to sense you except for the mana inside you so [Holy Magic] that makes the space you have into blank would register as something that doesn't exist in their senses. This is not only to give our venture to our mines a 'sacred' respect but to also protect yourselves. I expect all of you to at the very least gain the skill in the following two months. In these two months I will show you the different ways you can use [Holy Magic] and how to measure the your limits, so you know the amount of time you have during a dive into the mine or any other earthen depths."

I forgot that golems spawn inside mountains. In the human continent, the hero made a mana transferring machine to direct the earth mana into the prison harvest fields to increase the growth of the crops. This made the golems unable to spawn or if be severely weakened, if they could. I assume the golems here in the dwarf continent, that is rich with earth mana, to be extra strong. To think they deal with it like this instead. I must say it is better than a war every time we need to mine.

However, if they are using this approach, wouldn't that mean different groups of people have different limits on how long they can mine? No matter how much [Holy Magic] boost your recovery, it wouldn't boost mana recovery to the point that the skill itself be mana free. Maybe they divide the miners based on how long they can mine while using magic. They will also need to use magic when mining so maybe the pay is divided on which group they joined in diving? I imagine that the grand elevator into our mountain in this town doesn't work 24/7.

If I can keep expanding my mana, wouldn't that mean I can join the deep diver miners and earn a lot of money just by smashing some rocks? No, no, no, I won't fall for money. I still want a life where I create something as a living. I can't fall for quick money schemes like that, no matter how much my 'hero stat correction' boost my advantage in it.

It seems like I am still obsessed with money after almost starving to death when my farm was taken from me.

"and with that 'deets' our 'jam session' for 'nows' is 'game over'. I hope my 'squad' practice [Holy Magic] until our next session. Its better to expand those mana reserves early to have a longer time limit on using [Holy Magic]. See you tomorrow 'peeps'."

"Brill, hey brill."
"Shut up chatterbox. Don't look at me, don't even talk. It's almost done so let it pass. If he notice us then he might extend class, which would the result of our whole class beating you up."
"...oh..understood.
