[Mana Flow - Normal]
[*%@@#$!!@#]
[Please select object to scan.]

Let me see what is in the help first to make sure how this thing works.

[Help - As a maker of this item, you of all people should remember your goal. Don't forget that this isn't your world, you have a loving wife, a caring daughter, a son entering the work force and pregnant sisters. Don't you want to see them again, don't you want to see your little nephews! It's the first time you will be an uncle so DON'T GIVE UP!
Keep on working and find materials to build a that portal! This is a land of fantasy! Different materials and energy that isn't available in our world are scattered here, If it's possible to bring you here then its also possible to go back. Keep on working!]

Jackpot, it looks like this really is an enchanted equipment made by someone from a otherworlder, its too bad this is a different kind of help that I need. It seems that he didn't make it though, I somewhat feel bad about him. I don't know how they perceive our disappearance in that world but him knowing the truth and dying while working towards that goal of returning is sad. I do wonder if an unusual accident happens in that world to correct our disappearance or we just vanish like a bubble, the worst way is if we have our existence there erased like in that certain anime with the katana wielding flame haired heroine. I wish that person didn't use this colour for the font since it pops out too much or is this a minor rebellion to the system that only has plain black and grey font colour?

Shit! That is even more upsetting, the help menu didn't provide much help and it took out a hp of the item. I guess this means I can only use it four more times. It says select object to scan so I assume this is an appraisal tool. There is also a design storage so the blueprints of his inventions might be there but it is missing, maybe the other contact lense holds the storage. Those auction house staff destroyed it during testing so that is advanced tech down the drain.

I imagine some high-tech stuff might be in there considering that he can make an appraisal tool of this size, I mean there isn't even a functioning appraisal tool anywhere in existence here. They mention it in history before but that was so long ago and they had to use a whole building to make it work. It's like comparing old computers that take up a whole classroom to function to those potato chip thin laptops.

It's no use worrying about something that won't come back. I should just be really smart on which item to use this on.

First of all I need to scan that 'armour of the gods' artifact I bought at the auction store. It's the most unique item I have and considering how the storekeeper explained that people die using it, I need to see exactly why before I use it myself.

Next, I should use it on the prototype mana expanding bag. I do want more mana since it would be really convenient not only in this life but also in the next. Granted that I only know basic elementary magic, there won't be dazzling use of mana but having it is better to have more than none.

I already confirmed the usage of the ring so I think I won't need to scan it too. However, its always good to check. For a mana regeneration boosting ring it gives off a ridiculous amount of increase so there might be more to the ring. I'll do this the very last and far in the future since I might find more interesting things.

[Structural Integrety - 4%]

Shit!!!!!!! It loses hp just by using it? Is this thing disposable? No choice, no time, I need to start scanning before this thing is wasted.

Look into the item and [Scan].

................

How do you activate this thing!?!? Do I need to touch the item while I say [Scan]?

*Touch*

"[Scan]"

.............

It didn't work, also its idiotic to make a scanning tool that needs you to touch the actual object! What would you do if the thing you need to touch is corrosive, deadly or gross!

No, maybe I need to pour in additional mana when I activate the skill. To make it this small, he may have given up on some user friendly features like automatically siphoning mana needed for the skill! No choice I have to transfer mana gradually again until I hit that point where the skill activates.

I do hope you are more than a normal mana expanding device.

Name: Mana Expander(Maxpander) prototype
Type: Temporary storage
Status: Normal

-Minimum energy to store is 100 points.
-Can only take in energy points in increments of 100 points.

Short and doesn't differ from the normal one.

Next! before this contact lense crumbles. I can feel is cracking in my eye, it itches!

[Structural Integrety - 2%]

Which one should I use it on next? I only have around 4 minutes to decide before it degrades again. This thing never degraded in the long years it has been left alone so I can assume that the degradation came from mana flowing into it, so would it cease if I stop supplying mana into it? No, even if I did stop supplying mana, the mana inside it won't completely disappear. This must be the reason the auction house accidentally destroyed the other contact lense while they were testing it.

I don't have anymore unique stuff so I have no choice but to scan the mana recovery ring. I hope you have other tricks hidden inside you, even if you don't there isn't anything else that has enough value to be scanned in comparison though.

Name: Elder Lich king's Promise
Type: Support
Status: 572/5,000,000 Energy
Structure: Rusted Elder lich bone embedded with an elder lich king's core.
Usage:  -Needs 444 mana to unlock
              -Increase mana regeneration by 100%
-Unseal an item left behind by the Elder Lich King once the user have the required energy
-Gives a minor buff when learning Soul magic.

Lucky!!!

[Structural Integrety - 1%]

One more, anything else I have that I can use this on? I have some rare ore that I secretly took when chatterbox was forging for the duel but its not worth it. Books, potions, water pipes, no they aren't worth it. If I can find the teacher I can quickly scan his enchanted equipment, no not enough time and its not mine so knowing is useless, until I can forge my own equipment.

What else do I have in my room? Bed, desk, chair, window, clothes, magic fan, mirror, carpe--...........mirror.

Mirror?  ME!!!

"Arghhh!!"

I can feel it burning my eye now, it's almost gone, before that happens I should scan myself. Look into the mirror and-- NO! If I look at the mirror there is a chance that the one getting scanned is the mirror not me, so I should look at myself. My clothes might get scanned too if I look at myself so I have to be naked to do this.

*Undressed*

Look at my body and [Scan].

*Crick* *Crack*

Hold up for a few seconds, I might discover some of my stats.

[Heal] x10 [Water]x10

Aghhh!! My eyes got blurry there so the right side of my view got blocked. I missed some things there but thank goodness the passives didn't get blurred. I can learn most of the skills from the research of the past research but passives is a big mystery since no one can quantify it.

The healing is complete but I think it burned right into my iris. Why couldn't the idiot make an appraisal glasses? Even if that thing degraded, it wouldn't hurt the user. It also makes the user look smart. I guess you can argue that you can hide the special function more but with such precise mana control, I don't think any normal user can use such products.

Let's recap what I found.

The 'Armour of the gods' is a remote control and eats up a ridiculous amount of mana. The thing about not being able to store weapons not made by the user is a big lie. The merchant mentioned that the chiefs and leaders are the one who used this. They may have stored weapons made by others and claimed to be theirs just to highlight their 'eliteness', it might just be my irritation to ruler class because of the princess but the possibility exist.

This thing is still dormant but I don't have enough mana to activate it. How many chiefs and rulers are needed to accumulate 500,000 mana? It really is true that this thing devours everything from the user if your mana isn't enough. I better avoid channeling mana into it for now. This thing is dangerous, not only that, I need more mana if I want to use the controller psychic-like ability of it.

Next is the mana prototype, it is exactly like the name implies. I guess the reason that its a prototype is because of the materials. I can't imagine people today hunting dragons just for making a mana expanding tool. hmm, maybe they could but the cheap ones shouldn't have that as their main material and even if I say cheap, it is still something that only high class nobility can afford or rich merchants. It only takes in increments of 100 so its a good thing that I have 572 mana, I had to go through a lot to reach this type of capacity. I can continuously channel breeze for more than 5 hours which is impossible for 3rd year magic students. If I assume 1 hour is equal to 100 mana then the earliest you can use this mana expanding tool is about halfway through the 3rd year. I can only use it by increments of 100 so my mana should only increase by 1 every time I use it for now and I heard about the damage it does to the body so I need a month of rest before I use it again.

Now the interesting part is the mana recovery ring. To think it actually is an artifact and a powerful one at that. I'm guessing they didn't discover it because you need a specific amount of mana to unlock it. I wonder why it needs such a specific number, maybe its one of the elder lich kings hobby. There is also a sealed item inside it but I need a ridiculous super amount of mana, I hope its a good item since I can only open it far far far far into the future.

Now for the first thing, me. There isn't much in there besides things I already know. There are some blurred parts which is a shame my tears and almost melted eyeball are to blame but I still saw some useful things. Those must be some of the things I unlocked unknowingly. The skills and jobs are especially a huge loss, I unlocked them but I don't know what it is and how to use the skills that came with them. The health, stamina and mana stats and regen is good to know but since it changes as I grow stronger its negligible. The passives are the only thing that is great to know since I can focus my learning and growing style in accordance with it. It really is true that dwarfs have a passives for strength, crafting boost and strong night vision.

The passives is great and it also grows which is really amazing. I can only imagine that the lifespan is not enough to fully master these passives but it's not the same with me, I can continually increase it with different lifetimes. I'm glad for the fire resistance too, that would be useful in case I went through the princess again. The eavesdropping skill is good for spying and as a way to keep a surveillance around me. I'm like a small walking sonar.

I can slowly grind the passives and I can actively increase my mana too. Burning my eye aside, this has been a productive experience.
