I have to say, I am happy this place has locks that work normally. Hello kitchen, looks like I am a bit late. There is already a bunch of people and well into the night. I got a simple look earlier but let us explore this now.

There is about five long tables neatly arranged in a row as soon as you enter the kitchen, it has 10 seats on both sides. It seems pretty small for all the students living in the dormitory. I need to check the habits of the crowd here for me to eat during the less crowded times. There are proper waste disposal near the corner, I suppose the main dumpster is outside at the backdoor. The only garbage bins are for organic and everything else. I guess it's easier to separate garbage if there are no plastic products.

The main kitchen is on a separate room, It uses firewood on a cement or clay like stove. However, that is for the student side, there is actually a school meal made by the school at the other side. There is also an exclusive cooking area for the school staff. Wait, are they school staff or are they cooking students doing this for money like some school part-time work. Either way I don't have to worry about cooking, now I need to check if they need payment for it.

As long as it fills my stomach it doesn't matter. So there are monsters in the dwarf continent where metal can be harvested for. Is it the theme for this continent to have some kind of ore or metal growing on monsters? Maybe there are plants that has metallic properties too? Can I be some king of metal farmer/miner? No, I should leave that thought behind. I need a living I can take with me, not a long term investment.

At least the water can be taken from a faucet, I really am loving piping system. I could have hoped they could extend the pipes so each room can have at least a small shower but they probably can't because of the risk of explosions. That would be a nightmare if someone destroyed a wall and the open pipe would flood everyone below.

The plate and cutleries are made from wood. They really went cheap on this school. As expected of a school where something explodes every so often. They don't make things easily replaceable and cheap so they won't suffer a lost. The glass or actually wooden glass? No, that's wrong this shape should be closer to a mug. It's made of wood too. All the wooden stuff aren't even varnished, at most they sanded it smooth.

Now for the taste, *bite* hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm. It taste like meat with salt. There isn't much of salt too. Is this the budget ingredient they are talking about? It's really tough too, it's not at the level of jerky but it's almost there. I have to take my time swallowing it too or I might get a stomachache later.

Finally done, wow that was bad. I need to try the other food too, all of them are at the same price so I need to find the best choice among the lot. I never thought about it before since I have a farm but do I need to worry about nutritional balance and stuff? It would be more annoying if that is the case since I am buying my food. The eating area is quite noisy so I should return to my room and then relax. I hope my window has a good view of the night sky. The royal castle at the human continent has a lot of bright lights even at night to spot invaders and the like, the country side has no other light other than the moon, which gives a nice view of the stars. I wonder how this place it, the school went cheap with everything so the lantern would probably be put out soon, I'm expecting a great view of the sky. It's a bit of a shame that I live on the third floor but If I lay my mattress on the floor I can look up at the sky as I sleep.
