Inside the large VIP room of a luxurious tavern, two bulky men were kowtowing on the ground. They were sweating profusely while nervously staring at their master who was sitting at the darkest corner of the room.

 

"Speak." They suddenly heard a low, sexy male voice commanded them from the dark.

 

The bulky men kowtowed and loudly slammed their head on the floor. As a result, they got injured. Blood started to ooze out from their foreheads but it wasn't their priority now.

 

Even if their lord was asking in a leisurely, unconcerned manner, their body was uncontrollably shuddering in fear. They were feeling threating because they heard from some trusted sources that this lord was extremely cruel. The calmness his voice meant he was extremely furious.

 

"L-Lord Xuanyuan, Please help these lowly servants." They cried out loudly.

 

Without replying, the lord tilted his head, in a gesture to proceed whatever they were saying.

 

"Lord, we made a huge crime without your permission. When we were searching the engagement token in Lin kingdom's Princess, Princess Liena's mansion, She caught us red-handed. These lowly servants feared that She would shout to the guards and inform His Majesty later on. We have been working in the palace for a decade so it wasn't impossible for Her to recognize us."

 

"So what's the crime? You didn't find the South Sea Pearl?" Asked Lord Xuanyuan impatiently.

 

"W-We didn't." Both men gulped down their saliva nervously on their failure.

 

"B-But my lord, we s-stabbed Her Highness. And these servants heard from some trusted informers that, Princess died."

 

The room became silent, only the sound of breathing could be heard. The bulky duo nervously signaled each other with their anxious eyes, asking what would happen to them. They were really scared of the wits of their future aspects because they were certain that sooner or later, the imperial family would discern about their treacherous behavior.

 

Their suspicious disappearance had already labeled them as traitors. As a result, it was absolutely impossible to return to the Lin kingdom. Now, all of their concern was their family members; they didn't want to lose them. Their faces slowly started to regain its original color as their heart sprouted with new hopes. Lord Xuanyuan stood up from his respective chair and walked towards them with a teasing smile to see the criminals face, which caused him revealing his extraordinary charming face to the duo. The duo became stupified, they looked at Lord Xuanyuan in awe. Their jaws dropped. Their lord was such a goddess (cough) they meant handsome!?!

The duo greedily picked up at the heavy pouch from the ground.

Lord Xuanyuan's always tiger like domineer turned into kitten-like. His actions were like a furious kitten who's tail got hurt.

 

Who knew that he was so clumsy! Those bulky men would laugh their ass out loud if they saw his cowardly self.

 

After calming down his heartbeat, Lord asked the black tomb-statue in a mocking tone.

 

"Why do you want to kill them? Your marriage problem has been resolved, so you can rest now. Moreover, they were just some small flies. They can't even touch us, forget about being a threat!"

 

"Once a traitor, always a traitor. This emperor detests liars and betrayers the most..."

 

Emperor Qiu Feng Mian's coldly commented before he turned to leave.

After they came out of the room, one of the men spat a mouthful of blood that he was accumulating the whole time and said to his companion,

They started to plan what will they do with the money. The tavern was very famous for gambling and finding beautiful ladies since it was actually a brothel.
