As if waking from a dream, William jerked up with a labour breath. He began to try to remember what had happened. He remembered he got shot, then his vision went dark and he heard a man shouting before finally lost his consciousness.

He's checking his body, and glad that he's no longer being bandaged or felt any discomfort from his wounds.

Did I fall into a comma for so long to the point that the wounds had healed completely?

He checked his body once more, thoroughly this time. But not only he didn't feel any discomfort when he touched the places where the bullets pierced his body, there weren't so much as a tiny scar on it.

I guess I really had been in a comma for a long time, or the scars got mended with some kind of cosmetic surgery.

He snickered. What's the point to have scar removal surgery to a patient which didn't even ask something like that, to a male patient no less.

*KWAAAAAKKK*

All of sudden, he heard a weirdly sounding animal coming from above. So he looked up.

There, was a kind of bird he never seen before. But that's not what shocked him.

He just realized that he's not in a hospital nor was he on top of a patient's bed. He looked around him to noticed that he's in the middle of an open spot surrounded by trees 20 meters away from him in any directions, and he's right in the middle of that open spot. Another thing he noticed was the sun. No, the sun itself wasn't weird, what's weird was that there are three moons near its vicinity.

Where am I? This can't be a dream with my mind this clear. Or...did I die and this is the after life? That's also impossible. Religions dictated that in the after life one cannot do anything but conscious that all one's own body parts are being questioned of what it did in life. So what's this?

Reflexively, he tried to give himself a pinch and a slap to his cheeks. He confirmed that it hurts.

Now that he's sure about his situation he stood up.

Although he's glad that he's alive albeit in some kind of another world, his situation is still bad nonetheless.

First, he's naked.

Secondly, he has no source of foods nor water.

Third, he doesn't know where he is.

Sweat began to pour out from his pores.

How am I going to survive this?

Shaking his head to shook away unnecessary thoughts, he decided to secure a source of water first.

He began to calm himself and managed his labour breath. Once he's calmed, he strained his senses trying to get a tiny clue from the atmosphere around him.

He tried to hear whether there's the sound of running water nearby amongst the sound of wind whispering through the dense trees. He tried to take a deep breath and tried to find even a tiny bit scent of water in the air.

But he found nothing. He only heard the wind and the sound of rustling leaves.

He let out a sigh. He didn't know whether the directions he knows on earth can be applied here.

When he finally decided which way he should go to randomly, he realized that some of the trees in front of him shook heavily.

It gave him a surprise, but he didn't go check on it.

Whatever shook those trees, something big must have been the one who did it, I better run to the opposite direction.

He ran right away to the opposite direction. Once he's inside the sea of trees, he heard a growl behind him, and the earth shook.

42 meters behind him, there were shadow-like wolves , chasing him without making any sound besides from its growls and a little bit further from the wolves, he saw a big silhouette pushing aside trees.

He kept running, but a moment later the wolves, numbering six, caught up to him and he was bitten on his neck, waist, legs, and arms. He fell down and hit his head on a hard tree root nearby.

His consciousness dimmed, he felt the rumblings of the earth got closer along with the sound of something heavy moving close. Then, he felt an excruciating pain on his legs. The shocked from the pain finally made him lost consciousness.

====================================================================

*GASP*

Again, William woke up as if he was having a nightmare. The first thing he noticed once his consciousness has returned to him was the scent of rotting corpses. Possibly animal's. Then he realized that he's inside a dimly lit cave which has two torches stuck on a wall on either sides of what seems to be the cave's entrance.

He headed that way.

Once he exited the cave he once was, he arrived in a hallway.

On each sides of the hallway, there were metal bars. It's as if a huge jail cell that span along the hallway. It's dark behind the bars, the light that came from the ceiling didn't reach that far. He also heard clunking and rattling sound of chains. He dare not investigate what's in there.

He walked along the hallway silently while being cautious.

On his way, he found a rag big enough to cover his body. So he took it and wore it. He didn't care whether it's dirty or smelled bad, after all in this place all he could smell was something awful.

He continued walking in this dimly lit hallway for what seems to be half an hour before he saw stairs going up.

He went up slowly while minding his steps because it's completely dark. He judged that this staircase is spiralling up based on the steps he took.

Then, William heard a voice saying something inside his head. It gave him a shock.

"Synchronization Completed"

It's indeed a "voice", yet he perceived it as if that "voice" wasn't a voice at all but a written onomatopoeia.

Synchronization? What is being synchronized?

Before he could continued that thought, the "Voice" continued.

"Acquired title, Genocider"

"Acquired title, Firearm Tycoon"

"Acquired title, Myth Collector"

"Acquired title, Speed Master"

"Acquired title, Spell Master"

"Acquired title, Stubborn"

"Agghh-!!!"

William suddenly being attacked  by severe headache. Informations flooded in into his mind.

After awhile, his headache subsided but he still felt tired. So he sat down on the step of the stairs and lean on the wall.

Titles...what are they for? Why did I get them?.......................wait, don't tell me they were my game Trophies?

"Analyze..."

Whispered William. The flooding informations he received made him have knowledge how to use magic from Last Imagine.

Then, he read the description of each of his titles.

"Genocider - One who attained the ultimate peak of murder in efficiency, techniques, and methods. Effects: Accuracy, Proficiency and Dexterity Extremity in using man-made modern firearms"

"Firearm Tycoon -The most successful firearm manufacturer. Effects: Instantly made known firearms and its ammunition. Costs Mana"

"Myth Collector - A Collector of every and all equipments in existence. Effects: Item Storage housing every Last Imagine's items"

"Speed Master - Proof of being the fastest. Effects: Speed Extremity"

"Spell Master - The understander of magic. Effects: All magics from Last Imagine has been learned"

"Stubborn - A Challenger who never gives up on his quest. Effects: Continue unlimitedly"

I understood everything but the last one. Continue Unlimitedly? What is that suppo-...

His thought cut short.

Don't tell me it's the ability to Continue as in when I had Game Over in video games? While the title, Genocider, must have been because my kill count in OverClock. It's also the highest trophy in it. The other titles were also my trophies.

Now that I have Myth Collector, I think I wouldn't need to wear this rag.

"Light Bulb..."

William muttered  something and a tiny sun appeared on his side.

Then, he took out some of the equipments his Last Imagine's character was using.

- Dark Lord's Robe, a mythical grade robe dropped from apocalyptic grade boss with an abysmal chance of 0,000001% chance to get it. It possessed unlimited durability, the highest defense, and mana regeneration speed of 1% of the total mana per second. The robe is made off darkness shaped as a robe.

- Yggdrasil Pants,  a pants which threads were made out of Yggdrasil's tree roots. It's effects are health and status ailments auto-recovery.

- Ring of Merlin, a mystical grade ring said to contained Merlin's magical knowledge. It raises Magic Potency by 500%, decreases Mana Usage by 90%, and Null Chant.

Once he wore his equipments, one of his discomfort was gone. In fact the robe and pants were very comfortable.

I want to try using magic as an attacking mean, but using it based from the flooding informations might result in mishaps. Swords and the like might also give the same result. Better use something I'm familiar with for the moment.

"Create, M4 Carbine. Create, ten 5.56×45mm magazines"

A pitch black assault rifle and ten magazines appeared in front of him, it laid on the steps.

With no place to stored the magazines, he's about to create small backpacks but then realized he could just stored it inside his Item Storage.

Nine of his magazines were put away, leaving only one before he loaded it in his assault rifle.

This was his first time holding a real firearm but due to his Genocider title, it felt so familiar on his arm as if he'd already wielded it for decades.

Done preparing, William continued to go up while being accompanied by a sun-like tiny orb floating on his side.

====================================================================

Above ground all he saw was a sea of burnt and charred soil. On the horizon, there's a black eerie mountain which reminded him of a certain mountain from The L**d of the **ing.

"Raaaawwwwrr!!!"

All of sudden a humanoid creature rushed into him. The creature was around 2 meters in height, reminded him of the U**k H*i from the movie previously mentioned. It brandished a big sharpened stone with blood stains all over its edge.

Felt surprised by the roar, William pulled the trigger.

*Tatata tatata!*

He lodged the head of the creature 6 meters away with six 5.56mm bullets.

It fell backward, never to move again.

William's arms were shivering a little bit after he took a REAL life with his hands. Then he took a deep breath, and succeeded in calming himself.

I should begin to move, the gunshots are definitely going to invite unwanted attention.

William then ran to the opposite of the eerie black mountain in front of him.

The cave he left was beneath a hill where its surface was as charred as the rest of the ground around here.

He decided to climb the hill which was around 60 meters in height from where he was.

Then he realized that this was a highland.

Everywhere, all he saw were black-ish mountains. This wide black charred ground was like a caldera of a humongous mountain. The mountain he saw previously, was a mountain above this extremely wide caldera.

The hill he stood on was on the higher side of the caldera. What he saw on the lower part of the caldera was........

"Millions...no, that's tens of millions..."

The shock made him let out the words from his lips. He didn't know what kind of creatures down there, but he knows that they're living being.

"Telescope..."

He chanted a magic for seeing things far away just like how he saw thing through a telescope.

A lot of creatures just like the one I killed, along with many others which looks like demons. All of them fully equipped, are they about to go to war?

While William was still watching the situation, behind him a group of U*uk *H*i-ish creatures numbering around 100, were charging towards him from the sole of the hill.

The loud footsteps fortunately made William noticed them.

His M4 Carbine wouldn't be able to take on this many at the same time, so he stored his M4 Carbine and created another weapon.

"Create, XM25 CDTE fully loaded with 25×40mm grenades."

Then he pulled the trigger after properly aiming at the mob coming to him.

He emptied all the rounds, and killed around 80 of them. But it seemed that there were still 50 of them.

Once again, he made a 5 round detachable magazine box for his XM25 CDTE and loaded it.

But due to his previous attack, the mob had scattered so the blast couldn't annihilate all of them. Around 30 of them still alive.

He stored his XM25 CDTE and took out his fully loaded M4 Carbine and aimed at them with the 3-burst mode. He killed 10 per one magazine clip. Another moment later, all the enemies in front of him was killed.

It didn't take him long because of the combination of his Genocider and Speed Master. The Aiming Precision and the Speed Extremity helped him to utilize the full potential specs of the M4 Carbine.

With the hostiles around him gone, William switched his attention back to the horde. Looking at it without the Telescope spell, he could only see a sea of black moving slowly towards a ravine that seems big enough for the horde to pass through.

Where are they heading to?

William pondered for a bit, but no matter how he tried to think otherwise, that horde of monsters aren't doing something so peaceful.

I should probably stalk and observe them. But there's no way to observe them from the ground and there's no clairvoyance spell where i could use to see them like seeing them from a drone's camera within Last Imagine's magic list. But there's a flight magic. Maybe I could stalk them from high above with flight magic and telescope magic.

"Flight..."

All of sudden, he was floating 2 meters above ground as if he's fixed in the air. Then he got confused on how to move.

Unlike in the game where controller is all he needed to move, this flight spell only made him float without moving away from the position, as if he was rid off any inertia and stucked on a 0G outer space.

Hmm...do I need to use wind magic to propelled myself forward? Although the wind magics on the list are for the enemy and thus lethal.

He looked at the horde while he was in the middle of his pondering, then his floating body moved forward to the horde.

Did I just moved?

He looked at the horde once again. But he didn't move.

I didn't move? What's the different?

He thought for a bit then realized what he should do.

He raised his concentration and made clear his intention to move.

And, he moved. With blinding speed.

The sudden acceleration made his heart pound so much, he unconsciously thought stop. Thankfully, it wasn't even a second before he stopped. But that's already making him traveled around 150 meters above the horde from his previous location several tens of kilometers away.

After a while, he found a trick to it. To put it with an analogy, he was moving like a click based RPG where the character moves to the place which got clicked by the cursor instead of moving the characters by the analog or joystick of the standard RPG. Of course, he could also move using the latter analogy as his moving method, but his movement was too fast from just moving the analog a bit just like it was set to be extremely sensitive to slight movements, of course these are all only analogies.

For now, he couldn't move with advance maneuver, all he could do was just going straight horizontally, vertically, and diagonally, with no curving capability. But it's enough for the current purpose.

William observed the horde 200m below him, thankfully none of them were creatures who could fly, and he was floating without any noise anyway so the "monsters" below him wouldn't noticed.

The horde was moving in an orderly fashion, as if they're not just creatures with intelligence, but also those with discipline. Calling the horde a mob was wrong, this...this is an army going into a war instead of a mass exodus.

Where are they going to? Is there even somewhere to invade nearby?

When William was in the middle of thinking that, the army of demon-like monsters which was supposed to finally came out of the ravine, didn't come out.

What....?

He thought, before casting Telescope magic and shift his sight towards where the ravine's exit was. There, a black swirling blocking the exit from the ravine. When the monsters entered it, they didn't pass through the other side.

A portal? Teleportation portal?

William kept watching the monsters went through the portal for quite sometimes until there weren't any left to enter it.

It's risky, but going through there might make me find a human civilization. In any case, I could just cast Flight and Barrier to fly above if the situation becomes dangerous.

With his flight magic, William slowly headed towards the portal and entered it.
