Washington DC
General Griffith, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, conversed with President Hayes “The towns further away from the cities have surrendered much more easily. The recon forces have been able to take them mostly by themselves.”
“Compared to cities, it’s likely that they haven’t been bombarded constantly by propaganda. We should be able to expect only minimal resistance from them.”
“Mr. President. We should be besieging the cities from now on. Directly assaulting them would just be a gross waste of lives when we can just force them into submission or at least weaken them through air and artillery strikes.”
“General. We will just be engaging in genocide at that point.”
“We will give them time and allow any civilians to leave. If there even are any that can be considered civilians.”
“Do you really think anybody will leave? And what about the humans they are keeping as slaves? How will the media react when they learn we literally have forsaken them. It will be a humanitarian disaster.”
“Humanitarian disaster. Boohoo. Who cares? There is no international community to criticize us anymore. Public opinion is already souring because of the large loss of life we are experiencing. It’s only been a few days into the invasion and we have already suffered fifty percent of the total casualties we have suffered during the entire Gulf War.”
“I’m gonna be blamed for the entire thing, goddammit. And you can say bye to your career at that point!”
“In war, we have to kill our enemies. That’s the military’s job. To kill the enemy and you are stopping me from doing their job. These so-called civilians are all armed to the teeth.”
“We are not barbarians. General. There are established rules of war.”
“Bah. Rules. When did wars have rules? The elves don’t even follow them. Mr. President. Make the right choice here. Let the military off this goddamn idiotic leash.”
“Now get out of my office. You have been coming here every single fucking day. You have been a great advisor in the past but I’m very close to removing you Quincy.”
A few miles away from the Orva Caelora Human Concentration Camp
The grass billowed as 20 MV-22 Ospreys touched down onto the plains. Surrounding the landing area were M1A2 Abrams and HEMTT trucks. Cylindrical tanks full of aviation fuel were on the back of the HEMTTs. Soldiers rushed to connect the fuel hoses from the HEMTTs to the Ospreys. Once refueled, it was only a short journey from there to the Orva Caelora Human Concentration Camp.
A few minutes later
Orva Caelora Human Concentration Camp
Damon shouted at the Magusians. “Stay in your groups! We will be evacuating you soon.”
The sound of the MV-22 Ospreys got louder and louder. The first one soon appeared and landed in a clearing in the concentration camp.
“Get on in an orderly fashion! Please put all your baggage on the floor. Once you have sat down, please do not get up unless instructed to do so.”
As each Osprey filled up with Magusians, dust was kicked up by the rotors and they took off one by one.
What was a bleak concentration camp had been completely transformed. In the past few days, the Rangers and the Green Berets had turned the concentration camp nearly into a FOB(Forward Operating Base).
“Well, the Army should be arriving soon. Guess we will be welcoming them.”
Less than an hour later
“I see two Bradleys! The recon force is here.”
The two Bradleys came to a stop and the commander at the lead Bradley popped out of his hatch. The commander grinned. “Nice place you have here.”
Damon laughed. “Welcome to our humble abode!”
Somewhere in the Elven Nation
“Stop. Elven military convoy over to the northeast.”
Multiple magitrucks followed by a single Guard tank raced down the paved road. The two Bradleys that pulled onto a grassy hilltop spied on them.
“I’m calling in an airstrike. Let’s tail them and see how it goes.”
The two Bradleys sped down the hill and through the grass. They kept the elven convoy that was on the road in sight but kept a distance.
A few minutes later
An F-15 flew over the elven convoy. The noise of the F-15 flying over was still reverberating when multiple large explosions wiped the convoy out. Blackened dirt and the mangled, charred metal wrecks were all that remained.
“Wooo, baby!”
An explosion occurred underneath the track of the lead Bradley. “Aw fuck! Mine!”
The Bradley behind came to a stop. The commander of the lead Bradley opened his hatch and looked over the side. “Track’s bust.”

“Most forces have been repositioned into the mountains. We have lost hundreds of vehicles and elves to American bombing attacks. We have also been receiving bombing runs on the mountains but I don’t believe they have discovered our main base here yet.”
Tarron clasped his hands together. “Gentleelves. We shall hold this position to the last elf.”
Anafalen raised his voice in opposition. “My Leader, I don’t think that's advisable. The Americans are perfectly capable of wiping out our concentrated forces. In fact, I won’t be surprised if their military has been made to destroy a concentration of units. It is more advisable if we spread out instead of staying here. That will make us a much harder target to kill.”
Tarron frowned and his eyes narrowed. “Then who will keep an organized command of the units? How will we perform organized defenses and counterattacks?”
“Uh… we don’t sir. The point is, we aim for our survival.”
Tarron spread his arm around. “This mountain is the perfect terrain for defense and will be the staging area of our counteroffensive. Our main base is under hundreds of feet of solid stone, I don’t believe the Americans have the capability of destroying that. Understood.”
The various department heads and the General Staff nodded in agreement. Tarron smiled, “Dismissed. And also, Anafalen, I would like to see you in your office.”
A few minutes later
Tarron sat down in Anfalen’s chair in his office. “I told you before. You are getting on my nerves.”
“My Leader, I’m only giving sensible advice!”
“I only need you to do as I say. That’s your job. You manage the Department of Intelligence. That’s all.”
“I’m also an advisor.”
“I don’t need time for advice. Everything is already in motion.”
Anfalen didn’t respond for a few seconds before nodding. “Yes, My Leader.”
Tarron exited the room. Anfalen sat down and a worried force grew on his face. His wife was also in the base with him but he had no heart to go see her. He had noticed that Tarron had changed ever since they abandoned the capital and it greatly concerned him. Tarron seemed to be angrier and was much less willing to listen to others.
“What should I do… what should I do…”
He whispered over and over again as his mind played out his options.

Port City of Filanneas
M109A6 Howitzers were taken off of the cargo ship. Finn’s eyes followed the self-propelled howitzers. “1st Infantry Division Artillery.”
Blake looked over. “Where’s the rest of the 1st Infantry?”
“Probably on the way.”
Docked a few feet away from the cargo ship was a WW1-style transport ship. A tank rolled off of it. Blake whistled “Wow. A fucking M4 Sherman.”
Finn nodded. “The Magusians are here.”
“How effective are they even gonna be?”
“Probably just gonna be filler or something. Maybe garrisoning the towns?”
“Do you think the brass will even trust them with that?”
Finn chuckled. “I feel bad for them if they get sent to the frontline. M4 Shermans are quite easy to kill.”
MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida
General Abrams Thompson, commander of the US New World Command, conversed with his staff. “Other than retreating units and stragglers. The plains are mostly clear of enemy units. This is a good situation.”
“Our units are starting to get stretched thin.”
“The 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team from the 1st Infantry Division and the 1st Infantry Brigade Combat Team from the 10th Mountain Division are arriving. The Magusians are also arriving and they will be under our guidance.”
“Most of the elven forces have retreated to the mountains. We have lost sight of them but we are sure that there will be heavy fortifications on the mountains and that they are holed up there.”
Abrams nodded. “Increase drone surveillance on that. Prepare for airstrikes on that region. Depending on how heavily they are fortified, we might need to get a MOAB out for this one.”
Port City of Jahlean, Elven Nation
Elements of the 1st ABCT of the 1st Armored Division surrounded the port city. They kept their distance and had screening forces keeping an eye out.
In his house, Lorsan felt panic coursing through his blood. He knew that all the articles that he had read about their recent glorious victories were most likely lies. He sat down eating with a gun leaning against his table. The humans had his city surrounded and there was no way out.
Thank you for the chapter!
The sound of the MV-22 Ospreys got louder and louder. The first one soon appeared and landed in a clearing in the concentration camp.
"Get on in an orderly fashion! Please put all your baggage on the floor..."
These are the Magusians who were prisoners in an elf concentration camp, correct? Why would they be told to "put all your baggage on the floor"? I find it hard to believe that they would have any baggage at all - even a single change of clothes.
Would their elf overlords have allowed them to keep any personal effects they may or may not have been wearing or on their person (i.e., jewelry, wallets or photos) before they were seized by elves? My understanding is that, at this prison, they were already being forced into manufacturing for their war effort. (Or, perhaps, some of them were being trained to be slaves for elf households?)
Or, am I overthinking this? Do they have luggage in the form of a blanket and some sort of "Red Cross parcel" or what might be called a "war relief package" or "POW care package"? Were these Magusian prisoners already given spare clothes aside from they had been wearing? Were the Magusians forced to were a prison uniform? I don't recall this being mentioned...
So far, there's been no mention of a military journalist (a member of the armed forces whose serves a role as a journalist) or a war correspondent at these camps. I find it unbelievable that they are evacuating prisoners from these camps without taking video evidence or even a single photo as proof of the conditions they were forced to endure.
What was a bleak concentration camp had been completely transformed. In the past few days, the Rangers and the Green Berets had turned the concentration camp nearly into a FOB(Forward Operating Base).
Completely transformed? Geez! Talk about shortsighted! They should've tried to build their FOB nearby, but as a separate base.
If this place truly deserved the politically-charged, derogatory moniker "concentration camp", then there should have been some effort to preserve the site as evidence! If not for that, then as a memorial or as site of historical significance. At the very least, they should've taken video and photos of how it existed before they started transforming it.
The President is up for reelection. Said president is worrying so much about anti-war sentiment, how the optics of the war will affect his political opponents, and his chances in this election, that it is affecting his decisions. And yet...
Wouldn't the absence of evidence only fuel anti-war sentiment, or at least doubts about the official story on these so-called "concentration camps"? I'd think even a mostly rational, patriotic American would begin to question why there exists so little evidence to support such claims. Shouldn't that be considered strange?
Is it any wonder many Americans would at least consider the possibility that comparisons between these elves and Nazi Germany were largely political in nature. Without video footage or even photos, what is stopping many Americans from believing that elves were treating these human prisoners with dignity and respect - or to doubt such prisoners and camps even existed?
For comparison:
There was *abundant* documentation of WWII concentration and death camps. There exists film footage of shortly after some of these camps were liberated. Among these, there is even Soviet military footage showing civilians and Soviet soldiers sifting through possessions of people deported to the Auschwitz killing center. And some film footage was presented as evidence at the Nuremberg war crimes trials.
Even before the Nazis' rise in 1933, anti-Semitism was depicted and documented in film. In the aftermath of the war, the American liberating troops had a policy of forcing German civilians to view the atrocities committed in these camps. And there is film footage depicting this, showing countless German people lined up in long queues, waiting their turn to see something at such sites.
Today, there are a great many Holocaust memorials and museums in many nations, states, provinces & territories around the world. Such museums expose and document these atrocities with photos, documents, film footage, and various other artifacts and memorabilia.
Consider: It is known that, between 1933 and 1945, the Third Reich established more than 44,000 camps and other incarceration sites (including ghettos) for a range of purposes. That's no small number! A few of these sites exist to this day, preserved for future generations that we may never forget or repeat the mistakes of the past. Auschwitz, the famous Nazi concentration camp, is one of Eastern Europe's most visited sites.
Yet, DESPITE all of this, a very large percentage of German and Italian citizens refused to believe Holocaust stories - choosing to believe that these claims were either falsified or greatly exaggerated. And this percentage remained very high for years or even decades afterwards. I found it astonishing when I first read that. But this is explained in detail on Wikipedia as well from other sources of repute.
Today, people around the world have access to and are exposed to media that was unavailable in the 1940s. There is more access than ever before, including to many new documents, new witness testimonies and film footage that has been discovered since or sealed away for years. There was even a 1945 documentary called Night Will Fall, overseen by Alfred Hitchcock, which documented these atrocities. It was suppressed and hidden from the public for 70 years for being too politically sensitive.
Yet, even to this day, there exists a not-insignificant number of people who still refuse to believe in official stories about WWII concentration and death camps. A survey conducted between 2019 and 2020 reveals that 15.6 percent of Italians believe that the Holocaust never happened. Obviously, this includes some who were either not old enough to remember the 1940's or not born yet.
@Xpacetrue they probably done it on other camps, and since they know they have a lots of them , using one is better than creating a new camp and fortifying it , it's already fortified have nearly all structure needed and place to land .why wasting resources when it's more efficient to transform it.
@evangelkyo If they did so in other camps, then the story should have covered that part or at least mentioned it. This seems pivotal to the story as it has to do with the growing anti-war sentiment in America as well as how the president is behaving and worries over the election campaign. In my book, this is like a gaping plot hole.
Maybe they were provided a basic kit, clothing, toothbrush, some other extras or looted stuff they could take from their masters homes.
@Xpacetrue would the green berrets have body cam? Go pro?
People don't believe satellite images of the earth being round, do you think this is any different?
I don't know if they have the resources to preserve it if it's being heavily guarded.
@Xpacetrue each generation is responsible for preserving history.
@KuqKuburra The story does say that the camps were converted into FOBs by Rangers and the Green Berets. However, my argument was that this act of converting them into FOBs was not very realistic and felt like a plot hole to me. Rather than convert these camps, the military could have simply air dropped in tents and other supplies to build their FOBs adjacent to them. At the least, if it was necessary to convert a camp into an FOB for the sake of expediency, they could have converted one or two of them instead of converting *ALL* of them.
BTW: Try a Google search for "Premade Concrete Canvas Tents". They have to do little more than add water to rapidly create concrete bunkers. And a single pallet of Concrete Canvas can cover the same area as two 17 ton concrete mixer trucks.
As for your "have body cam" argument: Like I said, military journalists and war correspondents are a thing. Embedded reporters and photographers are attached to a specific military unit and permitted to accompany troops into combat zones. This is a thing that happens. It should not be considered unusual or surprising, even.
People don't believe satellite images of the earth being round, do you think this is any different?
Yes. It's a different situation and a poor comparison. Flat Earthers are not the ones in this story who are protesting against the U.S. government's foreign policies, claiming that they're being warmongers for merely defending sovereign U.S. territory from invasion or for defending allies or humans in general from acts of genocide by crazed elves.
Some people simply refuse to believe any and all evidence that contradicts their tightly-held beliefs, no matter the irrefutable nature of the evidence or the nature or number of sources of the information. Cults are a thing. Mass Formation Psychosis is a thing. Some people are beyond convincing because they associate anything which threatens their beliefs or world view with personal attacks against their own person.
Unfortunately, in addition to those mentioned above who refuse to consider all evidence, many other people today live busy lives and are too lazy to research a news story or topic beyond reading the news headlines on their mobile device, skimming through the first couple paragraphs or relying on word of mouth from friends or an echo-chamber of like-minded peers. In other words, many only know one side to a story or otherwise remain ignorant or uninformed.
But, it should not be impossible or even difficult to convince the majority of citizens of the United States that the elves not only invaded the Magic Emperium, but razed their cities to the ground and committed horrible war crimes and atrocities against humans. All it takes is some basic video documentation and correspondence by the military and/or journalists. This is just *basic common sense*. And the fact that this is an election year and that the president is up for reelection should make the idea of heavily documenting these things a no-brainer. I can't believe I have to defend the idea!
Aside from that, video documentation and interviews with survivors should be considered evidence for possible use against the elves.
I don't know if they have the resources to preserve it if it's being heavily guarded.
A number of WWII concentration and internment camps in Germany and other European countries have been preserved to this day, so it's definitely possible.
The Americans toppled the old elven government and installed a new one, so they are in a pretty good position to make certain demands and conditions. As part of their agreements with the new government, they could have it declare one or more of those elven concentration camps as historical sites and protect them from destruction.
Also, video evidence and interviews with survivors can be preserved indefinitely.
@Xpacetrue I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I didn't mention FOBs
@Xpacetrue flat earthers was an example of similar mindsets that ignore evidence they doubt, don't support or believe.
@Xpacetrue with body cams, it's chunks of video data.
