8 The Birth Of A Harem God

Two men, two different reasons— both stared at Moshi who felt intimidated, yet at the same time flattered to gain the attention of the two handsome men. Even if the reason for the attention wasn’t quite like what he had imagined, he still got one of his small daydream wishes fulfilled.

However, he wasn’t thick faced enough to stand the constant glaring. He cleared his throat awkwardly and asked, “Did I say anything wrong?”

His gaze wandered to Harem God to pass on the ticking bomb.

“You murmured the names in your sleep last night and while attacking us. Since you won’t tell us your name I’ll go along with this alias until you give us one.”

Now it was Harem God’s turn to be the observation object; eyes of unnatural colors pierced him with their vivid intensity. Ace’s stare bore the resemblance to the vast and quiescent ocean in terms of intimidating intensity, while Moshi’s eyes were mysterious, yet mesmerizing like orchids.

As a result, Harem God got a little worked up.

You f*cks are annoying. I named him Sin since that p*ssy had all hens for himself, while I, the Supreme Harem God, only had my hand and imagination to form my b*tches in this apocalypse. The only reason I still kept that sh*t alive was for producing more hens to eat. If women hadn’t disappeared from earth, there would be at least three wrangling for the attention of my d...

Moshi and Ace patiently watched Harem God change from one strange face to the next grimace. He seemed to have immersed himself in his own world.

The two exchanged wordless glances at each other.

Do you think he will suddenly go on rampage again? Moshi’s sideway look implied.

He doesn’t seem like it, maybe he is shy or has indigestion, Ace answered via boyfriend telepathy.

In reality, there was no telepathic exchange at all, but the two knew each other for years and fought countless battles side by side, so that they could still somewhat guess the other’s thoughts. That’s why Moshi was better than anybody else in telling apart, when Ace was actually serious or just pretended to be serious.

The current exchange definitely belonged to the latter. He was even sure that his partner was just fooling around. So, he ignored him with a frosty look and directed his attention back to Harem God.

They had prepared to stop him again, just in case, but the person in question looked more frustrated than bloodthirsty. It was to the point that onlookers felt it unbearable to watch.

Cough, cough~

Ace discretely pulled him back into reality, “I’m Ace by the way and the guy beside me is Moshi,” his expression became stern, “To tell you the truth, we didn’t expect to meet a human on earth at all. Less, that the chicken belonged to you. I apologize again for our rude behavior, we didn’t want to harm it actually. It’s just, that rooster, no, Sin seems kind of special.”

Ace paused. He wanted to probe Harem God’s reaction, but the latter merely raised his eyebrows in a lacksaidal manner. Assuming from his expression, he probably waited for a follow-up.

Thus, Ace continued his speech, “And you also seem to have a modified body.”

Harem God’s eyes now widened and his interest was definitely piqued as a glint flashed across his golden eyes. The other man ceased to talk. It wasn’t because he didn’t want to, Ace just forgot to.

It was the third time that he had felt a strange sensation, no, it was more like a calling. But what that feeling was, he couldn’t tell….

Moshi and Harem God waited half a day for further explanation from Ace. However, the latter was totally out of his mind and just sat there dazedly. Moshi presumed it was simple exhaustion from last night’s business.

“Ace,” Moshi called him awake.

“Hm? Oh yes, where was I...“ Ace barely snapped out of his trace.

“Don’t daydream. Since you don’t seem up to it, let me explain.”

Hence, Moshi continued and let Ace rest, who didn’t object.

“Anyway, as my partner said, you and Sin are special. So is the rain outside. To be frank, a normal living being from this side shouldn’t be able to stand in the rain, much less move freely like you two did. I don’t know if you were aware of it, but that rain is a cocktail of elemental energies. Do you know what that means?”

Moshi explained, but Harem God looked more confused than enlightened.

“You don’t, right? I won’t go more in detail as it will confuse you even more. But you should know one thing; that rain should have killed you, that you’re still alive is either pure luck, or you somehow awakened and broken through the threshold of mortality.”

Harem God was now clearly stunned and his eyes were bulging out of amazement. Seeing him successfully baited, Moshi wanted to seize the opportunity to rope him in, but was interjected by Ace.

“We can tell you more, but in exchange, we hope for your cooperation. Since you seem accustomed to the current earth, and we know nothing about the changes in the past eight years. So—”

Harem God’s hand suddenly jerked as Ace spoke. At first, they were perplexed, but when they saw his expression they understood, what was happening.

They accidentally triggered a bad memory or even revived a trauma. It was unknown what kind of memories played in his head, but the sorrow in his eyes was evident.

Ace stopped talking.

Both him and Moshi were at a loss of words, when an unforeseen wave of pain rushed through their body. It was as if something was clenching their heart; they never felt that much empathy with somebody else nor should they for a stranger they knew for one day.

The mood suddenly resembled a funeral until Sin leaped up on the table and picked on Harem God. The latter snapped out of his depression and a fight between owner and chicken broke out.

Feathers fluttered in the air, battle cries in the form of cackling echoed through the hall and claws crossed ways with a fork. The noise they made was not low. However, amidst all the racket of clanking and clunking, Harem God only cracked out “Sin” over and over.

Anything else, he didn’t say.
