17th day at the foundation

I was lucky than the other D-class those that are with me in the past few days have already died except me.

On my 17th day I was tasked to clean the room of  SCP 049 they didn't give me any details but they just told me that I need to clean the remnants of a corpse inside SCP 049 confinement room.

At the time I entered the room there was a man using the doctor suit from the dark ages.

It spoke to me and said something in the language of french.

I looked confused and said "I don't understand you, sorry"  I said in apology

It looked at me and said "Ah! I know you're talking king's English...I can talk" he said but I was only tasked to clean this room and leave so I just answered"who might you be?" I didn't know him so I asked him.

"a doctor...I eradicate the Pestilence within the people but you Don't have the Pestilence, Interesting" he said and I answered on a tone with a bit of caution "What is a Pestilence? And why is there a corpse inside you're room?"He stared at me for a little while and answered "I removed the Pestilence...from them but I can't seem to cure them" after he said that I stepped back and he said "Don't worry...you don't have the Pestilence that these people have"

I was scared I looked at the side where the researches say that he did surgeries on

Suddenly the doctor said "help me do a surgery" the doctor walk towards the standing corpse, The doctor passed by the corpse, the corpse followed the doctor

I knew my task here but even If I survive those dangerous experiments it didn't mean that I wouldn't be killed.

I followed the doctor even I though passed by the standing corpse it didn't flinch it just goes to its own world

"you shall be my assistant today" the doctor said while waving the cutter in his hand

"okay then what will I do?"I asked the doctor.

"hold the head of this person while I do surgery to save him from the pestilence," he said while cutting the flesh of a dead person

I watched the whole surgery done by the doctor all I did was to assist the doctor operation I was getting used to this research facility even If I saw a fellow dead D-Class I didn't even think about it because I know that if I think about it it will only lead me to end up getting killed.

getting panicked not following the orders will only kill me I learned that by seeing my cellmates not following the orders, in the end, he gets beaten up and the other one got shot by attempting to run away.

After about an hour the surgery that the doctor did was finished and said "I still failed to cure this person of the pestilence" he said in a low voice.

"have you made progress from curing pestilence doctor?"I said questioning him "No but I'm sure...the cure is within my reach..."

suddenly the corpse that the doctor did the surgery suddenly move "ahhhh" in a low breathing sound 

I didn't question the doctor because I know this facility contains many mysterious things

to finish my task I asked the doctor

"Doctor should I know when can I clean this room?" I said "Oh so you're one of the cleaners...that come to clean after I finished my work to...eradicate the pestilence," he said while I back a little further than the doctor "Well I am one of them but I do it because my life is on the line..." the doctor listened

he walked towards me slowly while and said in a low voice "I pity you...." and said "It's okay now....you can clean" 

After a while

I did my job the remains of the moving corpse are now cleaned but now my clothes are now bloody as heck because of the surgery and the cleaning job

"phew my job is now finished I should probably go back now," I said and the doctor didn't answer

Suddenly an announcement came

"ALL PERSONNEL EXCEPT THE GUARDS STAY WHERE YOU ARE WE ARE EXPERIENCING A KETER CLASS CONTAINMENT BREACH STAY THERE UNTIL THE SITUATION IS RESOLVED"

"what? what happened?" I said in a panic 

It was my first time hearing about this and my first experience too It's probably dangerous that's why they advised us to stay where we are.

I heard the door opened on where I came from and noticed that the doctor escapes 

because I didn't know what to do and the probability that the doctor wants to escape as well is high that's why I followed the doctor

the thing that was on my mind was to escape as well every day I see death even my cellmate got killed just because he doesn't do what the researchers say.

I run when I saw the guards fired their guns on the doctor

Even though the guns don't much effect on the medieval doctor I still run because I know it could kill 

I run as fast as I could 

My life depends on it

Passing by a hallway I Saw the gate to the upper floor at first I was happy until I noticed there was a guard stationed in there

The guard saw me

I heard him say "One of 049-b has been found proceed to fire don't let it kil-"

before I can hear the end of his sentence.

I was shot repeatedly 

I didn't feel any pain at all.

it was all too sudden after all...

I saw my family, my friends, I know they love me I know they cared about me but I destroyed it I destroyed their trust.

I didn't think about them all I did was for myself when they have a problem I didn't help when they say that I have to stop..... I didn't listen to them because I was too delusional.

I regret it all why did I do it? why did I ignore them? why didn't I help them?

....

well It's too late after all

...

I was going to die seeing my body get pierced by bullets is painful, the world I know is slow too slow that it felt like all of this a dream

I wish this is just a dream

please

I don't want this

I don't want to die like this

I don't want to die in regret like this

 

 

 

 

 

after the small containment breach

"Are you sure this is one of those so called 049 zombies?"the first guard asked "I'm sure of it because it's coming to me" the second guard answered "looks like we shot a D-class attempting to escape but not the other 049's zombies" the first guard said "there are still one missing body it is the real SCP 049's zombie"
