Chapter 1; Prologue

Somewhere in America, there was a park with a beautiful fountain at the center of its area, two young people could be seen at the right side of the fountain; one was a slender, sexy-like woman, and the other was skinny dude, and sadly, he was the protagonist of the story.

Not important Girl Friend: Alex, we break up!

------------------------------ Alex: What?! But we have been dating since Junior High... H-how could you do this to me?!

Not Important Girl Friend: Because I realize love can't buy me pretty shoes or a Chanel bag, so we're over, do not see me again!

Alex's chest pumped up and down as if about to burst open, he remembered all the words she said, the promise she made...

Love forever until die...

Stay together till death separates...

But looking at now, it seemed those words mean nothing to her, just a bunch of bullshit!

He could feel the gaze of a passerby from the surrounding, half pitying and half mocking...

Why she did this? Why did she decide to do it in the public area like this? Had she tried to embarrass him more than she already had?

Then she left.

Alex threw curses and spat his saliva, but of course, it didn't hit the girl since she had left.

When they first met, she's a lovely and cute girl, shy to even talk with people, it was his effort of encouragement that she now could even become a moderator of international debate.

When dating, they never went beyond kissing, thus and most important regret Alex had now, he didn't even get a chance to graduate from a virgin with her!

Alex: Money huh... that's all matter to her... fine, I'll prove it... I'll prove it that I can become rich, no... I will become the richest man in the world!

For the following years, Alex only focused on his study, didn't care anymore for worldly pleasure, but as not as far alienating himself from his friends and family.

He didn't play a videogame, watch a movie, much less went to any blind date...

He did go to coffeeshop sometimes to hang out with his friends, but very briefly before he went back to study again.

His days were spent in the library, discussing with his professor, joining the research community... in short, he wasted no time other than studying.

Since they broke up the last time, his ex-girlfriend as if disappeared, or it might be just him who didn't pay attention... but remembering that event was always fueled him back to study despite how painful it was.

After graduating from Technology University, Alex applied to a multinational corporation, from there he began to weave his path of career...

In a matter of 2 years, Alex developed a superb translation device, which could translate all language by accessing its database, it also had an AI that could analyze new language manually, so people could help to build this device into perfection. This device created many disputes and protests but didn't hinder Alex's success.

3 years later, Alex resigned from the company, he couldn't work under someone if he wanted to achieve his goal, and he had enough work experience to build an enterprise.

Many years later, through a very difficult journey, lots of up and down path of career, Alex prevailed, he brought his company sat among the rank of biggest multinational corporations, employed many geniuses with great mind and creative idea, his company had patented a lot of new technologies such as Augmented Reality, Futuristic Wheel Chair, even human android...

Now Alex was 45, his body frame was still skinny as before but his face revealed the notion of an intelligent person, due to his oath, Alex had never been intimated with any women, and still single despite his late year, but don't get him wrong, he did have the interest, hell, some of his business partners were well endowed and gorgeous, even his assistant was a hot young woman, he intentionally arranged her so people would know, despite a sexy beauty on his side, he never sexually harassed her, always serious type of man.

But all finished at the moment; while enjoying his holiday on his private cruise, Alex looked at the magazine in hand and read 'The most successful and richest man of the year', he couldn't help but felt happy, even Bill Gates had admitted it himself.

Meanwhile, his gorgeous assistant was stood by obediently on the side, she was a blonde with one hair covering her left eyes, her breast was 36D, hip and waist were devilish, slender and sexy legs.

She was 29 years now and despite her appearance, she still didn't have a boyfriend, yes, she was cold at the time, but sometimes she also charming and sweet.

Alex couldn't help but moved, he thought perhaps he had a chance with her? No matter she chased after money or a real relationship, she's a woman worth the risk!

Alex: Jane...

Jane: Yes, Mr. Star? What do you need of me?

Alex: I heard the general manager of the finance department proposed to you last month...

Jane: Yes, he did...

Alex: I heard you rejected it...

Jane: Yes, I was...

Alex: May I know why?

The general manager of the finance department was 33 years old man, he was handsome and had a great figure, he once famous for his debauchery, but after meeting Jane, he was reported no longer seeing any women, well actually, 50% of the single man in his company also did the same.

Jane: He's not my type...

Alex: Handsome, lean man was not your type? Boy, I wonder if there is any man in this world who has a chance with you...

Jane: Please don't tease me, Mr. Star... of course there is...

Alex: Then Jane... err, you know... do I have an important schedule next week?

Jane: Monday morning you have to fly to Singapore, Tuesday noon you have to fly back home to meet with Nation Pharmacy Director, at night you have dinner with the Secretary of Defense, Thursday morning attend a charity for mental illness, have lunch with Mr. Wu of the Red Dragon, Wednesday is the board meeting, in the afternoon, you lead the new project in research and development lab, work for 2 days straight, then go to Paris on Sunday..."

Alex: So I am free on Thursday night?

Jane: Yes, Mr, Star,

Alex: Jane... do you... do you possibly... also free?

Jane: I have no plan.

Alex: Then... will you have dinner with me?

Jane: ...

Hearing no response, Alex turned his face to look at her, he found she was staring at him with widened eyes, mouth slight gaped.

Jane: Mr. Star... are you asking me... out?

Alex: Well, that's up to how you interpret my meaning of accompanying me on a dinner, one not simply always meant a date or special occasion to invite to a dinner, for example, I had a dinner with Ms. Madimoore last week and that was just business deal- yeah, I am asking you out...

Jane: I... don't know what to say...

Alex let out a sigh...

Alex: It's fine if you want to reject it... we have two decades difference, after all, it will be weird if not creep you out to spend the night with me... I am sorry for even asking, I don't know what comes-

Jane: Yes.

Alex:... into my mind... what?

Jane: I go out with you...

Alex widened his eyes, looking at a slight blush on her cheek and how she glanced to the side, she was embarrassed...

Alex: Are you sure... I-I don't want you to regret it.

Jane giggled, the previous embarrassment turned into playfulness.

Jane: Well, like your words... 'no one knows what inside the box until we open it'...

Alex: Ah... haha... right, right, you right, that actually Schrodinger's not mine, I don't have any right to claim it whatsoever- I'm babbling aren't I? Ok, let's uh... have a dinner...

Jane sweetly nodded her head, unknown to Alex, she was deeply happy inside.

It was five years ago, she just started off as his assistant, it was not her first experience; she quit the previous job due to her boss tried to rape her, she became a little traumatic thus unemployed for quite sometimes, then when she later applied for another job, the requirement was either she must sleep with the executives or get naked, making her more terrified, she didn't study hard and graduated with flying colors just so these people could turn her into their plaything, or a mistress.

Seriously, no matter the jobs she took, even as the waitress, there were people tried to harass her, the traumatic Jane realized that her kind and easy-going attitude (A/n: also her body) might be the reason people took her for easy-to-grab woman, thus Jane adopted a chili and frosty face.

Then she applied to become Alex's assistant, there were 10 participants at the time, all were pretty and gorgeous women; when she first time met Alex, he wore this kind of badness on his face, some sort of predator-like male and her guess was right as Alex immediately order her to take off her clothes, Jane was mad, very mad, she heard the rumor that Alex was a serious, intellectual kind of person, but he was no different than other lechers, but Jane didn't unleash her anger, she didn't burst out of the door to get out, she slumped into the floor and cried; her anger and desperation had reached the peak.

Who knew Alex immediately become panic, he stood up from his chair and consoled her, saying that it was the first test to see whether she's a cheap woman or not, the previous women before her willingly took off their clothes so they could get the job.

Must know that Alex at the time was considered as one of the richest men alive, of course, some women will line up like a duckling to become his assistant, the wage alone enough to buy a fancy bag and still able to cover their expenses for several months!

After Jane slightly calmed down, Alex sincerely apologized to her, said that if she felt insulted and didn't want to continue with the test, he would allow her to leave, he even gave her a one million worth cheque as the compensation.

At that point that Jane knew Alex was different, she agreed to follow the other tests, and she passed them all despite how difficult they were.

In the following year, Jane saw how diligent Alex was, and later she heard a rumor that Alex hadn't been married because he had no interest with women, this infuriated her, but Jane didn't lash out against them and decided to ask Alex himself, Alex didn't berate her instead laughed softly, then he told her his goal and mission, this made Jane favor Alex more than other men.

Their relationship grew closer and closer that Jane started to have a feeling for Alex, she even disdained to get in contact with other men despite her parent urging to get married soon.

It didn't matter for her, even if she being unmarried for the rest of her life, as long she could stay close to Alex, taking care of him, she was at her happiest.

Therefore, she was not just joyful when he asked her out, she's beyond delight, it's like having your idol came to ask you out of date; if other's idol was Chris Hemsworth, then Jane's idol was Alex...

Both Alex and Jane couldn't wait for that Thursday night, anticipate what might came afterward...

But then days later... a meteor was reported landing on earth and caused a crater to appear at the right side of a hill, the house where Alex lived...

Chapter 2; System Introduction

“Ouch... my head..."

Along with his soft moan, sounds of countless chirps reverberated, it's like how American Robins played their tune in the early morning.

Laid above the soft grass, one black-haired man with several strands of white hairs grasping his head, his blue irises scouted the new environment, finding it completely vague, he couldn't remember how he even arrived here.

The last thing he remembered was this... huge blinding light as he tried to get into his Lamborghini... prepared for a date.

'Oh, yeah, my date...' Alex sighed, after a long time of not trying to involve himself with intimate relationship, it was ended in a manner like this.

Didn't know whether Jane was mad at him or not, but what important now was to find out his location.

Lifting his head, he observed the surrounding trees, these were taller than most he saw around the city, and by looking at the sheer amount of numbers, here... couldn't possibly a jungle, right?

Alex picked out his phone and touched the screen, it booted up but he had no single service here, the uneasy apprehension grew deeper and deeper.

At this point, he also noticed that his phone battery actually 0% but... how it could still active?

*Ding!*

"You receive 1 new message..."

Alex startled, there was no service; how he still got a message?

He pressed on the message and read the content.

"Hello, Alex, if you read this, then you have successfully transmigrated into a different world..."

Different world? Is this a prank? What nonsense...

"I know what inside your mind, 'This must be sort of prank, a bunch of nonsense', right? Alex, I do not lie, I incapable of lying... your position now is no longer in Earth, nor anywhere in the Solar galaxy, in fact, you are now in a different universe... your phone can boot up with zero charges is the proof..."

Well, it's true... his phone shouldn't even capable to receive this message since here didn't have a signal...

But how's this possible? A different universe? Things like this only happened in fiction; Wizard of Oz... Bioshock... Digimon...

"Alex, the purpose of your presence is to protect this world from its demise... you have been chosen as its guardian!"

A guardian? Are you kidding? Did they think he was any hero material?

"Nope, you are far from a hero material, but who says one must need a hero to protect something!"

Wait, did this person just... they just answer him through the message? What the... can they see the future or something?!

"You right, I saw the future, and I have seen this world fate; it is one terrible ending, in this world, there are many races that exist, but one of them is particularly fearful; the dragon race..."

Dragon...

A mythical creature that always depicted as a powerful being in many games, anime, or movie, for example; in fairy tail, the dragons were once raging war to each other and caused devastation on Earth, in final fantasy series, Bahamut considered as one of the strongest summon all the time.

Such a creature... exist in this world...

"The rise of the dragon race will be the ultimate end of this world, I wish you can stop it from happening!"

Are you kidding? I am just a normal human, can't even run more than for 100 meters without dying!

"In order to help your quest, I had created a system, once you accepted it, the system will solely belong to you!"

"The system will be installed into your mind, so you don't have to worry to access it without others suspicion..."

"Oh, and I also had prepared several gifts for you, don't worry, no tricks, Alex, I wish you luck..."

Alex looked at the end of the message, and there was a sentence, sorts of like a link toward a web address or something.

He hesitated... he put down his phone and looked around for a while, still having doubt that here was a different world...

Why they chose him? Alex never thought himself as someone special... his achievement resulted in years of hard works... from the moment he got dumped... he battered his head almost every day to study, then once graduated, he worked his mind, sweat, and body to the limit that he swore he could collapse many times...

Alex sat on the ground and let out a deep sigh, was this a bad luck, or the higher-power up there hated him for some reason? 

He finally the richest man in the world, but he couldn't even enjoy it... all of those hard works... resulted in nothing...

"..."

Alex looked at the display of his phone, his face lacked enthusiasm... if this happened 20 years ago, he might be happy and full of jolly... got transmigrated into a different world and had been chosen as someone's important... who would not excited...

But he felt like he was too old for this...

"Yeah, whatever..."

Alex pressed on the link, and a white-like beam darted out from the screen of his phone, striking his face.

He was panic a little bit, but then calmed down as he felt no pain, but at this moment, a cold voice resounded in his ears.

“Initialization… Initialization... 10%... 50%... 100%... Initialization was successful! Hello Alex, I am the system..."

Oh wow, they actually created a system to help him, this might be not so bad after all...

"Hello err... system..."

Gift #3; Early Wealth ( 1000 point and 100 gold)

Gift #5; New Apprentice ( 1 skill ticket for grade E ability)

Gift #6; 40 years virgin?! ( 1 summon ticket for grade C character)

Gift #7; The mother of language (1 universal translator)

Gift #8; Metamorphose (1 upgrade ticket for bloodline)

Gift #9; Richest man (1,000,000 points and 1,000,000 gold)

Gift #10; Second Chance! (+1 Resurrect)

There were several terms that Alex understood and others that he didn't for example; the points.

"System, please first explain to me everything, for example, what world I am currently inhabiting, what help you can provide me, etc, etc..."

“Understand, Alex, this world was called Fantasia, the home of many legendary and fantasy creatures such as elves and dwarfs, the continent you inhabited called Moon Light, out of the seven continent that has populations; Stardust continent, Sunburst Continent, Desert Continent, Freezing Continent, Hidden Continent, and Mysterious Continent."

"This world had two primary power; Martial Arts and Magic, those who pick Martial Arts could be called many for example; Hero, Warrior, Assassin, Ninja, as for Magic also called Mage, Wizard, Druid, Summoner, and many others."

"Each continent had different cultures and constitutions, for example; the current one, Moon Light continent closely resembled those British Kingdom from Earth, and Stardust Continent was similar to the China Empire..."

"This world, Alex, was full of danger, not just the dragons you had to face, but smaller creatures such as goblin and warthog can also kill you... base on your age and physique, you won't be able to survive even a day in this forest, therefore, you will need my help."

"First, please summon out << menu >>."

Alex called out inwardly inside his head.

*Beep!*

Another translucent blue board popped out inside his mind, there were five tabs; Status, Equipment, Ability, Item, and Summon, all lined up from top to bottom.

So it's like an RPG video game he used to play such Final Fantasy, Suikoden, Persona... those were good memories.

"Alex, please open Status."

The five tabs disappeared, replaced by an outline figure of a human, accompanied by a description:

Name: Alex (You can change your name, but why would you want to do that?)

Level (first generation): 1 (level cap is 50, total exp for the next level; 657, your level determine your five base attribute; Str, Df, Ag, End, Mg, also your Vit and Mn/St)

Race: Human (Your physical and base attribute, for example, changing race into goblin; your skin can turn green, but your agility and stamina will change, and the others goblin wouldn't attack you, require Points to change Race)

Bloodline: Human (By spending point, you can change your bloodline that will grant you a special and unique ability.)

Ability: None (Throwing fire and ice, slashing an enemy from the distant, illusion, flying, and all other things)

Equipment: None (Sword and Gun, Real and Fiction, Normal and Magical, you name it, we have it!)

Summons: None ( Boys and Girls, Dudes and Ladies, Angels and Demons, Gods and Beasts, pretty much anything)

Points: 0 P (this is your system currency)

Money: 0 G 0 S 0 C (This world use three types of currency; copper, silver, and golden)

"So, Alex, do you wish to change your name?"

"No way, my parents gave it to me."

"Ok, do you have any questions?"

"How do I level up and gain Points?"

"By killing monsters, and each time you level up, we give you a bonus point!"

"Well, that's it?" Alex couldn't help but slightly disappointed.

"The master who created me did think early to add a quest mechanism, but later she aborted the idea, said it will restrict you too much..."

"Oh, I see... I suppose should say thank you..." then Alex widened his eyes, said, "your master is a woman?"

"..."

"System?"

"Alex, please close Status and open Equipment..."

Did it just ignore and change the subject?! Alex didn't understand why the identity of its master had to be secret, it's not like he's going to come and ask her for a date.

Equipment tab; there were six colorful tabs on the top of the board;

Point: 0

Grade E: Iron sword, handgun, light armor, cape... ( a very cheap, not powerful equipment, except for handgun, others could be found in this world general shops)

Grade D: Steel sword, rifle, steel armor, tome... (considerable price, the quality range between mediocre to good, some equipments uniquely could only be found here)

Grade C: Silversword, sniper rifle, silver armor, magic ring... (quite expensive, the quality range between great to super, there are also unique equipment here)

Grade B: Lightsaber, laser gun, flying dagger, demonic book... (expensive, most could only gain from here, only a few could be found outside)

Grade A: Zangetsu, Soul-Eater Blade, Railgun, Willpower gloves... (Super expensive, contain most soul weapon that can grow along with the user, impossible to attain outside the system)

Grade S: Excalibur, Balmung, Bryinhildr, Ea, Gaebolg... (almost impossible to buy, one Balmung almost cost 10,000,000 points, and Ea cost 1,000,000,000 points, so...)

"Also, Alex, we have a brick here!'

"..." Alex wrinkled his eyebrows, "why do I want a Brick?"

"Forget it."

"System, doesn't gun or bow require ammunition? How do I get them?"

"Be patient Alex, next was Ability!"

It pretty much the same with Equipment, but Ability had three type subcategories; Active, Passive, Bloodline; each three ranging from Grade E to S, for example, Bloodline; Uchiha (A rank) and Senju (A-rank), both of them cost respectively 3,000,000 points.

Then the system explained about the item, which was Alex could get the ammunition for gun and bow, some cheap like a normal gun, others also expensive like origin bullet, one bullet cost 100,000 P.

Finally, the summon, when he looked at the list, Alex's eyes widened, he had seen his fair share of anime, and he recognized the name that appeared on the list.

"Monkey D. Luffy (S grade) - 15,000,000 P... Naruto Uzumaki (S grade) - 13,000,000 P... "

Basically, the character inside the list of summon was the character in the state where they first appeared in the anime, not in the light novel or manga, but anime, for example; Goku here was only... 500 P, because he in the early series was not a god-level character that could punch the entire planet, while Kaguya Ookutsuki was about 10,000,000,000 P, because her absurd power.

There were also similar characters such as Haruhi Suzumiya which can destroy the entire universe with only a wish... even Doraemon extravagantly expensive...
