"System, regarding this... summon feature, will I instantly earn their loyalty?"

"I am sorry, Alex, you will not, we can help by adding up the information regarding the system and you to your summon, but it's not up to us whether they obey you... rest assured, their life connected with you, therefore they died if you died."

Alex nodded, it did sounds like too good to be true, but he was fine with it, in fact, he felt glad, because of this mean, even if he summoned a villain or dangerous character, they wouldn't kill him right of the bat.

"Can I also dismiss them?"

"It's not a permanent binding; if you finished with them, feel free to send them back home..."

So this summon could also work as a security firm... or any company that provided... 'services'.

"Will they also have levels?"

"No, they not, the character you summon can grow stronger but only through conventional mean, on the other hand, you can also help them grew stronger, for example; you can change their race or bestow them the ability, all the three actives, passives, and bloodline..."

"We also have many items that could be used to enchant strength, for example; Divine Water from Dragon Ball..."

So, basically, he was like... walking anime customization? The premise did offer a lot of benefits, for example; he can make Rock Lee completely into Uzumaki or Uchiha, or making Sakura useful...

Hell, he could make anybody into Saiyan...

"But any monster or person they killed will give you experience and points because they were connected to you."

So like an extending arm, huh? Interesting and the best way to farm.

"What happened if they died though?"

"Same as everybody else, gone and not return... their existence erased from their world; if they are a character related to the main plot, their entire world possibly crumbled..."

"..." Alex somehow became distressed, wasn't this exactly what happened to him? Disappeared from his world, arriving here...

He missed his parents... his mother and father were both in their eighties now yet still didn't have a grandchild... he somewhat felt guilty for too focusing on his business...

He also missed his friends, even Jane, and his company, he fought to build it for about 20 years, went through both hell and heaven to erect the empire of his business, he knew its inside and outside, even recognized well the security who posted at the gate area.

God, he already missed going back to work.

"Alex... can I say something?"

Alex startled, honestly, he was quite surprised this so-called system was not bland or robotic, albeit he couldn't make the gender of its tone, but it quite chatty and chirpy.

This woman who had created it must be one genius lad; if this back on Earth, he wouldn't hesitate to spend billion to get her work for his company.

"Free speech..." Alex lifted the corner of his lips.

"I know that... everything is too sudden for you... but, believe me, all is not coincident... my creator chose you for a reason... and if you... succeed on your endeavor, my creator... will definitely reward you... even that meant..."

"System?"

"At any rate, Alex, your current position now is called Dawn Forest, it's an outskirt of the deeper forest at the north, beyond that, lies a village, I suggest you go there first to resupply and gather information..."

Alex noticed the strangeness in the System's tone, but he also went into shock after knowing this verdant jungle was actually an outskirt... he couldn't imagine what the real forest looked like...

"First, you got to accept these gifts..."

"Right, I forget... err how to do it?"

"Just say in your mind, 'I accept all'."

Alex nodded, and he said the way it was dictated, then immediately several notifications rang inside his ears.

"You accept Welcome Present, gain 10x Potion, 10x Ether, 1x Grenade!"

"You accept Starter Pack, which one to choose; Warrior Pack or Mage Pack?"

"Alex, Warrior Pack contained a set of armors and one iron sword, while Mage Pack contained a set of cloth and one spellbook..."

Alex thought for a while, back when he used to play games... he both experiences these two types of attack... while being a warrior or melee fighter was nice with those all... butchering and slashing... especially in Ragnarok as an assassin, but he found himself enjoying more using magic...

Ah, who I am kidding, I can become all I want since the method was already in hand...

"I pick mage..." Alex smiled.

"Ok... beep, beep..."

Not long after, Alex's tuxedo immediately changed into a set of brown cloth and long pants along with a pair of boots, one pointy hat and a cape that reached about his waist, all in the same color, although his pants, boots, hat, and cape were darker than his cloth.

A regular size book also appeared in his right hand, he could feel the hardcover and the distinctive scent of a paper.

"Alex, a mage in this world can cast magic through a book, staff, wand, and without any weapon; these books were called a spellbook, each had been inscribed with a particular spell, for example, the book in your hand had magic called spirit bolt. A staff was meant to power-up the spell that a mage already had, and a wand's purpose was to help you gain more control in using a spell."

"I understand..." Alex faced toward the direction of a tree, he lifted his arm, aiming his palm toward the tree, said, "Spirit Bolt!"

*Zing!*

His body coated in purple-like light, the book in his hand flapped open swiftly before Alex felt a surge of energy gathered in his left hand, then he shot out a wasp toward the tree.

*Thud!*

The wasp hit the tree but nothing happened, even dust or mark not even left a trace.

Alex: ...

System: ...

"That's kind of... anticlimactic..." Alex said in an awkward tone, what even worse, he felt like 50% of his Mana was reduced... 50%... for that result?

"Alex, you don't really think you can immediately use magic just because you had the equipment, right?"

"Of course... not, I mean, I know it required practice... don't be silly," Alex had dropped a sweat from his temple.

"Actually, you just have to buy the ability from me, there were many passive, even some bloodlines that could help you..."

"Yeah, I think about that later..." Alex stored the book inside the system... it actually also granted him unlimited space of storage... neat!

As for his attire, he decided to just stick with this... it's actually cool set... he looked like younger Gandalf.

"Next is Early Wealth, you gain 1000 Points and 100 Gold..."

Nice, a stipend... you gotta love a stipend...

"Next is Beginner Experience, you gain 1000 XP."

*Ding!*

"Congratulations Alex, you just level up into level 2, next experience; 2285, your vitality and energy had been recovered and also earned 500 Points!"

Alex felt a rush of energy from inside his body, knew that his stat had been increased, but looking at the number of Points he got, the black-haired man with several white streaks couldn't help but frowned.

If he gained 500 points for each level up... that meant he earned 25000 when reaching level 50... wasn't that a bit too few?

"I know what are you thinking Alex, yes it was small, but you can change it..."

"How?"

"Please open your status..."

Name: Alex

Level (first generation): 2 (level cap is 50, total exp for the next level; 2285)
Race: Human
Bloodline: Human
Ability: None
Equipment: Beginner book
Summons: None
Points: 1500 P
Money: 100 G 0 S 0 C

"You see the words 'first generation' right after the word 'Level'?"

"Yeah..."

"By reaching the level cap, which was 50... there will be an option to upgrade it into second generation, your level will reset into 1 but everything will be upgraded; for example the number of exps and points you earned from killing a monster, your base stat might reduce but they gained 2 times stronger than before... your level cap will reach to level 75... then you can upgrade again into the third generation, the cap will increase to level 90... then you can upgrade for the last time to reach level 100."

Alex went silent... wasn't that pretty much annoying method? Even you got the bonuses of it, you're literally returned from an expert into a beginner again... then raising your level from the beginning...

"That's why we have a summon system... and I suggest you make some friends..."

Sweat, since when it's your time to tell me to make a friend...

"Next you have a New Apprentice's gift, 1 skill ticket for a grade E ability..."

"A skill ticket allows you to have ability without spending your Points, although only Active and Passive, and in this case, you can only learn grade E ability..."

"Grade E ability mostly grants a non-fight related ability, for example; stealing, mining, harvesting, washing, building, enchanting, cooking, as for the passive one; chief knowledge, farmer knowledge, adventurous knowledge, writer knowledge, engineer knowledge, doctor knowledge, janitor knowledge... "

"By having these abilities, you no longer need to act manually, for example; when you want to build a house, by simply using the building action, as long as the materials are sufficient, it will automatically pop out, appeared out of thin air... and by having the passive ability architect knowledge, you can even make greater design."

"Each of these abilities could be upgraded as long you have sufficient point, for example; stealing has 5 upgrades with each of them increasing its rate of success... that also the same with chief knowledge... by achieving lv 5... you have become the best chief in the world..."

Wow, that was super convenient, what was the most difficult thing that prevented people from achieving success? Taking action! A human could have 1000 ideas in their head, but few that actually made them real; idea indeed precious, but almost all people could think of an idea, what count was turning the idea into a real product, that meant you got to be ready in pain, down to dirty, and many hours without sleep.

If Alex was only kept his idea inside his head, then he wouldn't achieve what he had today.

"Do you wish to exchange now, Alex?"

"Yes, System... please show me all the skills related to creating and customizing an item..."

"Right away Alex... here there are."

Smith: An ability to forge metal into a weapon or armor, also tempering to make them stronger.
Technology: An ability to create a brand new item through combining and customizing.
Craft: An ability to create tools and usable items.
Alchemist: An ability to create a brand new material through synthesis.
Apothecary: An ability to create pill and potion.
Architect: An ability to create constructions.
Tailor: An ability to create and customize clothes.
Professor: An ability to create and customize homunculus.
Wizard: An ability to create and customize magical items.

Alex looked at the list, deep and intense hunger to learn all of them was pounding his guts, he could basically become a man of creation by learning all of these, there was no limit of how many skills he could learn.

But priority first...

"System, I use the exchange ticket for Technology..."

"Affirmative, Alex," Immediately a handful of pieces of information entered Alex's mind.

Technology (Lv1)
Detail: Create a brand new item, can be the scheme you buy from the system or your own design.
Application: Combining, Customization.
Level:
Lv 1 100 P: Can only perform an action based on the scheme (scheme 1 and scheme 2)
Lv 2 1000 P: Can only perform an action based on the scheme and free idea (scheme 3 and scheme 4, simple item)
Lv 3 5000 P: Can perform an action on both (scheme 5 and scheme 6, medium item)
Lv 4 10,000 P: Can perform both (scheme 7 and scheme 8, complicated item)
Lv 5 50,000 P: Can perform both (scheme 9, super complicated.)

"You can upgrade them anytime you wish as long as you have the point..."

"Got it."

"Alright, next is... Alex, to be honest, this is shocking... for people as successful as you are, not ever having a single intimacy is baffling..."

"System... you should know my case..." Alex sighed, looking at the dense leaves above, then his face slightly turned upset, "by the way, if not for your Master suddenly send me here, I would have gotten laid last night!"

"That's... true, on the behalf of my master, I am sorry... my master did have a terrible sense of timing..."

This time Alex was startled, who knew an AI had a sense of guilt.

"Thus we give you a bonus... 1 summon ticket for grade C character!"

The summon was categorized based on grade, just like the others, there were:

Grade E: Normal character, range from 100-200 P. (Nobita for example)
Grade D: Normal character with super physical or intelligent capability, range from 1000-10,000 P. (Great Teacher Onizuka)
Grade C: Any character with unique power but not OP, range from 20,000- 100,000 P. (Kiba Inui)
Grade B: Any character with unique power and OP, range from 500,000- 900,000 P. (Yami darkness)
Grade A: Any character with unique power and potential to be the strongest, 300- 700 P. (Goku)
Grade S: Any character with simply broken skills, 1,000,000- 100,000,000,000 P (Kumogawa)

The assessment based on these characters first appearance, what interesting was Grade A characters actually cheaper than Grade D character, and some had an exception, for example; Monkey D Luffy did not first introduce in the show with his rubber ability, but a normal kid, so, he won't be like Goku if Alex was about to summon him, but in the state of appearance before he left his hometown to become a pirate, so did Ichigo Kurosaki and Ouma Shuu,

Basically, the Grade A characters contained almost all the MC of the franchises, except for those who were already stronger if not the strongest since their debut, Saitama for example, he was freaking Grade S!

Alex was currently thinking which character he would want to summon, obviously, he should pick the one with the highest value but also had a sense of honor and duty, or, fear for death, so it wouldn't take more effort for them to obey his words, or at least cooperated with him.

"System, please limit the summon list to characters with 100,000 P."

"Affirmative, Alex... ... ... done!"

He looked at the result and it still hilariously a lot, it's like reading the account book for the end of the year.

"Exclude male, loli, anyone tsundere, any laid back character, any delinquent character; both in appearance or attitude, magic-based ability. Include, women with at least C type, an expert in martial arts, has the sense of knighthood, obedient nature or exaggeratedly fear for death..."

"... ... ... done!"

Now, it only left with 100 options, this not bad...

"Too possessive, too psychopath, too muscular..." Alex kept browsing the list, then his eyes widened, said, "why she's in the anime? wasn't she video game character?"

"Alex, they created an animated version of it... thus what you see..."

"Ah..." Alex scratched his head, 'guess I am still lacking knowledge...'

He looked at the blue board, it held the name, background, and price of potential summon, most of them Alex didn't recognize, as he was not exactly someone with whole anime information.

After some haggling and consideration, Alex finally said, "I have decided."

"Alright, with who you want to exchange the ticket?"

"Shizuka Nadeshiko - from << Naruto >>."

"Affirmative!"

*Zing!*

In front of Alex, one group of light immediately emerged, he squinted his eyes to catch the glimpse, saw a curvaceous silhouette underneath it.

Then the radiant light subsided, a fair-skinned girl about 19 years old, had an athletic but seductive build with average height, floated in the air while having her eyes closed. She wore tight-fitting, grey-colored clothes with a protector on her right shoulder, pair of grey gloves, a red waistband and a small bag strapped into her right leg.

Her black hair that tied in ponytail gently swayed as a recognizable head protector wrapped her forehead.

Shizuka Nadeshiko... a girl of Nadeshiko Village, which had a custom of matrilineality, a woman of this village must venture the outside world to find a man who can defeat them and bring them back to the village to be married to the said woman. Not all of them satisfied with the idea, especially a young girl like Shizuka.

Looking at her sizeable cleavage that exposed through the low cut of her uniform, Alex couldn't help but got his desire stirred, but he managed not to stare, he was no longer a hot-blooded youth after all.

His girlfriend once also wore such seductive attire, sad that she and he never got into the third base though.

Shizuka slowly dropped down from the midair, she stood upright while having her eyes still closed.

At this moment, Alex heard a sound from the side, he glanced and found a humongous hog, as big as Jeep Wrangler was staring at them from the not far distance.

'Oh, crap!'

Alex didn't shy to show his fear, it's the first creature he encountered but it was this terrifying already.

The hog was blue with big tusk beside its flat nose, frequently let out steam as its both red eyes seemingly fixated on Shizuka's form.

Alex didn't know why Shizuka still closed her eyes, but he couldn't possibly let the hog attacked her now, not only possibly injured her, but their relationship might have fractured before they even started.

So he dashed from his spot and stood between them, despite the cold sweat that dropped down his temple, Alex barred the hog path from reaching Shizuka.

"System, how come she's still not awake?!"

"Extremely sorry, Alex, sometimes the summoning process would take longer than usual, thus we recommend not to do it in dangerous environment."

"Couldn't you have said it sooner?!"

The hog blew another steam, then it swayed its puffy right foot back and forth before suddenly sprang toward Alex!

"Spirit Bolt!" Alex summoned his spellbook from the storage, soon from his palm, a wisp of purple energy shot out.

*Thud...*

It's not super effective!!! The hog didn't even snort!

"Damn it, System please access the summoning tab for me!"

"Who do you want to summon, Alex?"

"Summon Red Ribbon Army - from << Dragon Ball >>!"

"... Bip ... Red Ribbon Army is not a character, but an association, if you wish, I can randomly summon from their weakest character which only normal human to their most powerful one, Cell, the weakest ones cost 100 P each but Cell cost 125,000,000 P."

"Summon the weakest ones, 5 of them, made them appear right in front of me, and do not float!"

"Affirmative... reduces 500 P from your total points, current point left 1000... begin summoning sequences..."

*Zing! Zing! Zing! Zing! Zing!*

Immediately the entire area lit in glowing sight, so bright that Alex had to cover his eyes with his arm, but the hog, which of course couldn't do the same, got its eyes exposes toward the light and immediately lost the sight of its target, it squealed painfully and stopped in its track.

Several figures appeared in front of him, a bunch of men with brown attire... surprisingly had a rifle on their body...

But their purpose was finished, because at this moment... Shizuka opened her eyes, revealing a pair of green irises.

"Ms. Nadeshiko, we can talk about this later, for now, please kill that humongous hogs!" Alex said with an urging tone.

Shizuka stared at him for a bit before nodded, then she jumped to mid-air, taking out a bunch of kunai from her pocket, then she began to throw them toward the hog.

Mind that she also applied Wind Nature on these kunai, thus their sharpness fiercely increased.

*Puchi! Puchi! Puchi!*

The kunai stabbed the hog in every surface possible, making the monster let out a miserable roar like... well, like a pig...

She finished it up by covering her hand in a compressed wind and stabbed the hog top of the head with it, immediately butchering its thick skin, way down toward the hog's brain, scrambling them gruesomely.

"Beep... you receive 100 XP, 10 P, and 10 Copper..."
