Sniff Sniff Hmm, a strange smell, like antiseptic disinfectant and other things, indicates that this, just like the dream I thought I saw, is not actually a dream. Well, with this information, my options are limited, but if I can vividly imagine a place I can go to in my dreams, maybe I should go to a bank vault. Or a weapon arsenal. Ahh, who am I kidding? I'm physically very weak, and in a situation like that, they would overpower me. Oh, by the way, despite being able to take care of my own affairs, I am disabled. This means that if I want to execute my plan, I need to overcome my physical limitations, train rigorously, and make my body capable of handling my powers and more.
While I was thinking about all this, the door of the room cracked open. And in walked Carlisle Cullen, with his yellow hair and skin as pale as marble, and a person I guessed to be Sheriff Swan. After a few seconds of exchanging glances, Dr. Cullen broke the silence and announced that the person who disturbed it was dead.
"Hello, young man. You seemed seriously injured. We treated you, and with proper care, I estimate you'll be able to walk in a month. If you agree, Sheriff Swan here will ask you a few questions."
Yes, of course, I will be interrogated. As far as I recall, Edward Cullen could read minds. Well, let's try this. I don't have many options anyway.
"Of course, Dr. Cullen, but may I request that you call your son Edward here? It would make it easier to confirm what I'm about to say. He and I are old friends. I've been looking for you. It's a matter concerning my family."
Sheriff Swan seemed annoyed. It appeared that he had some knowledge about supernatural events and Edward. He spoke first.
"I'll be outside. Make sure Carlisle doesn't bring trouble to the town."
"Fine, young man, I will call Edward, but I need to be sure my family is safe. You said you were looking for me, so why are you also so severely injured?" Then he called Edward Cullen.
"The answer to your first question is for you to heal my wounds. The second question is that I got caught in the middle of a conflict."
"Edward, is this young man really your friend?"
"You're right, sir, he's not. But he knows we are vampires and about my ability."
"How do you know all this, young man? Frankly, I can't trust you."
"I'm aware of that, sir. That's why I asked you to call Edward."
A few seconds after I finished speaking, Edward Cullen stormed into the room. "What's going on, Dad? Who's this kid?"
"He claimed to be your friend, but he's not. And he knows we're vampires and about your ability."
"Hello, Mr. Edward. The reason I wanted you to come here is so that you can witness what I'm about to say. And please, don't try to forcefully read my mind because it's painful."
"How did you know that I was trying to read your mind?"
"I suppose it's something to do with my powers. Now, please listen to what I have to say and answer the questions I ask."
Edward placed his hand on my head and told me to begin speaking.
"Alright, to be honest, I am a planeswalker. To put it simply, I have a form of teleportation ability. It's a bit more complicated than that, but I assure you I have no intention of harming you."
"He's telling the truth."
"Now, let me explain my story. I was just an ordinary college student until I found myself caught in a conflict, which awakened my powers."
"That doesn't explain how you know about us."
"You're right. Before I gained my powers, I was having dreams. In those dreams, you were one of the rare beings I could trust in this situation. So, I thought of you, and my powers teleported me to your side."
"He's still telling the truth."
"Well, young man, we will help you."
I was about to ask them questions too, but it seemed that using my powers drained me, bringing on sleep. Dr. Cullen noticed this and said, "Goodnight, son. Sweet dreams."
Son, huh? Hmm, I guess I can get used to that.
