I woke up with fear just now, and it seems like my paranoia is kicking in. Yes, I'm quite paranoid by nature, and the situation I'm in doesn't help at all. I think Dr. Carlisle and Edward heard me because Edward suddenly burst into the room. Seeing that I was startled, he asked, "Did I scare you?"

"Oh, no, not at all. Thank you for being concerned," I replied.

"You said you had some questions for us?" Edward reminded me.

"Oh, yes, I was going to ask about the members of your family and get some information about current events. Then I can make a general assessment," I explained.

"You mentioned dreams earlier. Are you some kind of seer?" Edward inquired.

"No, actually, prophecy is an exaggerated concept. No mortal, including vampires, can see the future. We can only perceive possibilities. So, you could say my goal is to disrupt prophecies. Wherever there's a prophecy, there's always a sacrifice. My aim is to give them a second chance," I clarified.

"But Alice is a seer. She can see the future. She sensed your arrival," Edward countered.

What! Can seers actually sense arrivals? That changes things.

"That's something we can confirm later. After all, I'm still mortal. Right now, I've expressed that I need help. Although Dr. Carlisle said you would assist me, I know he said it to calm an injured person," I said. "I believe in reciprocity in life. That's why I'm requesting an update on the current situation. If it's going to be helpful, I think my ability's aspect related to information could be called 'the reader's perspective.'"

"The reader's perspective, hmm? I don't entirely trust you. If you know something about us, you could also manipulate us," Edward expressed his doubts.

Well, that didn't go well. Expecting them to trust me directly would have been a mistake, but I need to do something. Anyway, it seems I can take advantage of their limited helpfulness. I remember that Jasper Hale was a former soldier. He can teach me survival skills. I recall some physical therapy movements. If I practice regularly, I can overcome them.

"Well, what about this? You're vampires, which means you're not affected by bullets. I know Jasper used to be a soldier. I'm sure there are things he could teach me. I understand your mistrust, but they might have sensed my arrival, which puts me in danger. You wouldn't want someone with knowledge of the future to fall into the hands of the Volturi, would you?" I proposed.

Edward's POV:

Hmm, the kid might be right. We're not affected by bullets, so he can learn to shoot. Maybe a bit of survival skills too. Hmm, I can ask Jasper what he can do for him.

"Alright, I'll ask Jasper. But if you put my family in danger, I will find you and kill you," I warned.

Theon's POV

"Okay, thank you. That's enough," the kid replied.

Do they not realize that I'm the one in real danger here? What would the Volturi do if they found someone with knowledge of the future? Anyway, this is how my journey to empowerment begins.
